Kick and Twitch Simulcasts: 83% of Viewers Watch on Twitch
5,063 streamers went live on Kick and Twitch at once from Sep 28 to Oct 4, 2026. Twitch drew 83% of their combined viewers and Kick 17%.
5,063 streamers broadcast on Kick and Twitch at the same time for at least an hour in the week of September 28 to October 4, 2026. While they were live on both, Twitch drew 83.3% of their combined viewers and Kick 16.7%. The typical simulcaster had 21.7% of their audience on Kick, and 3,949 of the 5,063 (78%) drew most of their viewers on Twitch. The split barely moved with size: streamers averaging under 100 combined viewers had 19.3% on Kick, and those averaging 1,000 to 9,999 had 14.8%.
The numbers come from PlayerSells' own live samplers, which read Kick's whole live directory and the top streams of every Twitch category every 15 minutes. We matched channels that use the same name on both platforms, were live in the same 15-minute block and streamed the same category, so a streamer playing Minecraft on both counts as a simulcast while two unrelated people who share a name usually do not. Twitch has allowed simulcasting to rival services since October 2023 unless a streamer has an exclusivity deal, and this page measures how that freedom is being used, one week at a time.
Streams Charts looked at a related question in August 2026: across the top 500 multistreaming creators in the first half of 2026, counting YouTube as well, Kick averaged 19.5% of a channel's hours watched. Our median Kick share of 21.7% sits close to that. What this page adds is a much wider set, every streamer we caught live on Kick and Twitch in the same 15 minutes, with the audience split measured in those same minutes rather than over half a year.
How many streamers simulcast on Kick and Twitch?
5,063 streamers were live on Kick and Twitch at the same time, under the same name and in the same category, for at least one hour between September 28 and October 4, 2026. Together they were observed live on both platforms at once for 32,066 hours. The median simulcaster overlapped for 3.25 hours in the week, and when they were live on Twitch, they were also live on Kick half the time (median 50%).
Simulcasting is still a small part of either platform. Among Twitch channels we observed live for at least two hours in the week, 4,814 of 212,211 (2.3%) simulcast on Kick, and those simulcasts carried 7.2% of all the Twitch viewing we observed. On Kick, at least 4,792 of 108,510 channels live for two hours or more (4.4%) simulcast on Twitch, and at least 2.5% of Kick's viewing came from simulcasts. The Kick figures are minimums, for the reason explained under "How we measured".

Twitch channels are the channels our Twitch sampler observed, which are streams that reached the top 30 of their category at some point in the week. Kick channels are all live Kick channels.
Where do simulcast viewers watch?
Mostly on Twitch. Across all 5,063 simulcasters, Twitch held 83.3% of the combined concurrent viewers in the 15-minute blocks when a streamer was live on both platforms, and Kick held 16.7%. Per streamer, the median Kick share was 21.7%. 3,949 simulcasters (78%) drew most of their viewers on Twitch and 1,028 drew most on Kick. The table shows how the Kick share was spread across streamers.

Do the biggest channels simulcast?
Some of Twitch's biggest do, and Kick's biggest mostly do not. Ranking Twitch channels by the viewing we observed in the week, 2 of the top 10 simulcast on Kick, 13 of the top 100 and 101 of the top 1,000. On Kick, at least 6 of the 100 most watched channels simulcast on Twitch, and none of Kick's 10 most watched channels appeared under the same name in our Twitch readings at all during the week. That last point means none of them streamed on Twitch under that name with an audience big enough to reach the top 30 of a Twitch category; it does not rule out a small Twitch stream.
| Most watched channels in the week | Twitch: simulcast on Kick | Kick: simulcast on Twitch |
|---|---|---|
| Top 10 | 2 | 0 |
| Top 50 | 7 | at least 4 |
| Top 100 | 13 | at least 6 |
| Top 500 | 50 | at least 22 |
| Top 1,000 | 101 | at least 45 |
Which games are simulcast most?
Grand Theft Auto V and Minecraft carried the most simulcast viewing in the week. Among the categories with the most simulcast viewing, Kick kept its largest shares in Slots (26.5%), Just Chatting (24.4%), Grand Theft Auto V (23.4%) and AION 2 (22.2%). It kept the smallest in competitive and long-running online games: simulcasters in League of Legends, Escape from Tarkov, World of Warcraft, VALORANT, Dota 2 and Counter-Strike had 5.9% to 8.3% of their viewers on Kick. By number of streamers rather than viewing, the most simulcast categories were Poker (67 simulcasters), Old School RuneScape (65), ASMR (50) and Grand Theft Auto V (49).
| Category (simulcaster's main Twitch category) | Simulcasters | Kick share of combined viewers |
|---|---|---|
| Grand Theft Auto V | 49 | 23.4% |
| Minecraft | 28 | 20.2% |
| VALORANT | 24 | 7.4% |
| Counter-Strike | 40 | 8.3% |
| Dota 2 | 23 | 7.9% |
| Rust | 35 | 18.4% |
| World of Warcraft | 24 | 6.4% |
| League of Legends | 29 | 5.9% |
| AION 2 | 37 | 22.2% |
| Escape from Tarkov | 20 | 5.9% |
| IRL | 39 | 12.3% |
| EA Sports FC 27 | 22 | 12.5% |
| Fortnite | 23 | 11.7% |
| WARDOGS | 22 | 12.2% |
| Slots | 26 | 26.5% |
| Just Chatting | 11 | 24.4% |
The 16 Twitch categories with the most combined viewing during simulcasts, in that order. 190 Twitch categories had 10 or more simulcasters; together they account for 3,321 of the 5,063. Just Chatting shows only 11 because our Twitch sampler sees just the 30 largest streams in that category at a time.
Seen from Kick, simulcasts made up at least 5.7% of Kick's Grand Theft Auto V viewing, 4.9% of Valorant, 4.8% of Minecraft and 4.3% of Dota 2, but only 1.4% of Slots. Kick's two largest categories, Just Chatting and IRL, show 0.3% and 0.2%, and those two are the least reliable figures here: Twitch's Just Chatting and IRL have so many live streams that our Twitch sampler sees only the very largest, so a Kick streamer simulcasting to a modest Twitch Just Chatting audience is usually invisible to us.
How we measured
The week. September 28, 2026 00:00 UTC to October 5, 2026 00:00 UTC: seven full days, 672 blocks of 15 minutes. We ran the queries on October 5, because raw readings are kept for about eight days.
Kick. Our Kick sampler walks Kick's whole public live directory every 15 minutes and records each live channel's viewer count and category. Over the week it recorded 201,145 channels. It does not catch every stream on every walk; a missed block simply does not count as overlap, which makes our simulcast hours a little low rather than high.
Twitch. Twitch's public interface does not let a crawler page through its full live list, so our Twitch sampler reads every category on its list every 15 minutes and records up to 30 streams per category, the most watched first. Over the week it observed 388,927 channels. A Twitch stream is visible to us only while it is in the top 30 of its category.
Who counts as a simulcaster. A Kick channel and a Twitch channel with the same name, compared in lower case with hyphens and underscores removed, that were both live in the same 15-minute block for at least four blocks (one hour) in the week, and that were in matching categories in at least half of those blocks. 11,782 names were live on both platforms at some point in the week; 6,736 of them overlapped for an hour or more, and 5,063 of those also matched on category. The category rule is what separates a real simulcast from two different people who share a name.
Audience split. For each simulcaster we summed the viewer counts on each platform over the 15-minute blocks in which both of their streams were read, and divided Kick's sum by the total. Platform totals are sums over all simulcasters; the median is taken per streamer.
Does the Twitch top-30 limit change the result?
No. Because our Twitch sampler reads only the top 30 streams of a category, a streamer with a small Twitch audience in a busy category could be missed, which would leave out exactly the simulcasters who do better on Kick. To test that, we repeated the split using only the blocks in which the Twitch category had fewer than 30 live streams, so every stream in it was read whatever its size. 60% of all simulcast blocks qualified, covering 4,033 simulcasters. In those blocks Kick's share of combined viewers was 16.6%, against 16.7% overall, and the median streamer's Kick share was 22.2%, against 21.7%.
The count of simulcasters is less robust than the split. Loosening the rules to allow a 15-minute timing difference and any category gives 8,132 names; tightening them to at least two hours of overlap with matching categories in three quarters of it gives 3,325.
Limitations
- One week. The figures describe September 28 to October 4, 2026. Simulcasting follows events, contracts and individual streamers, so another week will read differently.
- Name matching. We match channels by name, time and category. A streamer who uses different names on the two platforms is missed, and a third party rebroadcasting a stream under the same name on the other platform would be counted. Every channel named in this article is verified on Kick.
- Twitch coverage. We see a Twitch stream only while it is in the top 30 of its category. Twitch counts are therefore about streams that reached that level, and every Kick-side figure is a minimum.
- Viewer counts are what the platforms display. Kick and Twitch count viewers in their own ways, and we cannot separate real viewers from embedded players, bots or inflated counts on either platform.
- No hours-watched totals. Our samplers measure shares and splits more reliably than totals, so we do not publish platform-wide watch time.
Frequently asked questions
Can you stream on Kick and Twitch at the same time?
Yes. Twitch changed its rules in October 2023 to allow simulcasting to other services, including Kick, for streamers without an exclusivity agreement. In the week of September 28 to October 4, 2026, we measured 5,063 streamers live on both platforms at once for at least an hour.
Do simulcasters get more viewers on Kick or on Twitch?
On Twitch. While live on both platforms, simulcasters drew 83.3% of their combined viewers on Twitch and 16.7% on Kick, and 78% of them had most of their audience on Twitch. The median streamer had 21.7% of their viewers on Kick.
Does xQc stream on Kick and Twitch at the same time?
Yes. In the measured week xQc was live on both for 55.5 hours, averaging 29,107 viewers on Twitch and 9,636 on Kick during those hours, so 24.9% of the combined audience watched on Kick.
How many of Twitch's top streamers simulcast on Kick?
13 of the 100 Twitch channels with the most viewing in the week of September 28 to October 4, 2026 also streamed on Kick at the same time, and 101 of the top 1,000.
