If you are buying or valuing a channel, size alone is the wrong signal: a 2,035-subscriber channel whose posts nobody reads is worth less than a smaller one with real reach. The distribution covers public channels with a username, discovered by following forwards and mentions between channels. Private and invite-only channels are not in it and cannot be, since they publish nothing to measure. Groups are counted separately from broadcast channels wherever the type is known.
