Buying Valorant accounts on PlayerSells

A Valorant account is priced by its rank, its level, its skin collection and its agent roster. Riot's official API exposes nothing about a Valorant account's rank, so where a Valorant reader is configured we read and print the level, equipped card, current and peak rank and last match date with a date; where it is not, rank and level are the seller's statement and the listing shows no rank row at all. Riot's Terms of Service prohibit transferring an account, so escrow protects you against the seller, not against Riot.

  1. Step 1

Ownership is proven by a change only the owner can make

The seller either equips a player card we name and plays one match so the reader sees it, changes the profile icon on the same Riot account's League profile, or changes their Riot ID tag line to a target we name. Each is read back through Riot's API.

  2. Step 2

    Payment sits in escrow

You fund PlayerSells escrow first. The Riot account username, which is different from the Riot ID shown in game, the password and the email on the account are handed over inside the logged deal chat.

  3. Step 3

You confirm, then the seller is paid

Move the email to your own address, change the password, set up your own two-factor and confirm. A seller who keeps the recovery email has not delivered.

Valorant Account Buying FAQ

Is buying a Valorant account allowed by Riot?

Buying or selling a Valorant account is prohibited by Riot's Terms of Service, which forbid selling, sharing or transferring accounts, and Riot can suspend or ban an account it finds in breach. PlayerSells escrow protects the transaction between you and the seller: payment is held until you control the account. It cannot protect you against Riot enforcing its own terms.

Is the rank on a Valorant listing verified?

The rank on a Valorant listing is verified only when a Valorant reader is configured, in which case the current tier, RR, peak tier and last match date are read from the account's match history and printed with a date. Riot's official API exposes no rank data. Where no reader is configured, rank and level are the seller's statement and the listing shows no verified rank row at all.

How does the seller prove they own the Valorant account?

A Valorant seller proves ownership by making a change only the logged-in owner can make and that we can read back: equipping a named player card and playing one match, changing the League profile icon on the same Riot account, or changing the Riot ID tag line to a target we name. The target is chosen by our server and signed into a token, so the seller cannot pick a value the account already has.

What do I sign in with after buying a Valorant account?

You sign in with the Riot account username, which is the login name chosen when the account was created and is different from the Riot ID and tag line shown in game. The handover includes that username, the password and the email on the account. If the seller verified ownership by changing the Riot ID, the account carries Riot's 30-day rename cooldown and the listing shows the next date a rename is possible.
