YouTube subscriber rank: where do you sit among tracked channels?
Same caveat as TikTok, and it matters more here. Our YouTube catalog holds 35.1K channels chosen because they are referenced elsewhere, so the median tracked channel has 62,000 subscribers. YouTube itself has tens of millions of channels, most of them far below that. This is a benchmark against established channels, not a percentile of YouTube.

Measured on 2026-08-24 over a sample of 35,149 channels drawn from the 35,149 YouTube channels in the PlayerSells index. Our YouTube catalog was seeded from large channels and skews upward, so these percentiles describe the channels we track, not YouTube as a whole. A small channel placing low here is a fact about our sample.
How to read this if your channel is small
The milestones are still useful even when the percentile is not. Among channels established enough to be referenced, 7,760 subscribers marks the bottom quarter and 380,000 the top quarter. Subscriber count is also the weakest signal YouTube exposes: watch time and views per video separate channels far better, and a 62,000-subscriber channel with strong retention outperforms a larger one without it.
Where these numbers come from
YouTube data reaches us through the official Data API, whose terms cap storage at 30 days and forbid redistribution, so these channels have no public profile pages on this site and the catalog is deliberately narrow. The distribution is published here as an aggregate statistic, which those terms allow. The percentile describes tracked channels only.
