Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using PlayerSells ("https://playersells.com"), the platform, and any related services (collectively, the "Services"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"), which incorporate our Privacy Policy by reference. If you do not agree to all of these Terms, do not use the Services. We may modify these Terms at any time; the updated version becomes effective when posted with a revised "Last updated" date, and your continued use of the Services constitutes acceptance of the changes.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and legally capable of entering into binding contracts. By using PlayerSells, you represent and warrant that you meet these requirements, that you are not located in, and are not a resident of, any country or region subject to comprehensive trade sanctions, and that you are not listed on any applicable sanctions or prohibited-party list. Accounts registered by bots or automated methods are not permitted.

3. Account Registration

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and to keep this information updated. PlayerSells reserves the right to refuse, suspend, or terminate accounts at its discretion, including those that violate these Terms or that we reasonably believe present a legal, security, or fraud risk.

4. Our Role as a Neutral Venue

PlayerSells provides a technology platform that connects independent buyers and sellers and offers tools to help them transact more safely. We are a neutral venue and intermediary only. Unless expressly stated in writing, PlayerSells is not a party to any transaction between users, does not own, sell, take title to, or take possession of any listed account, and does not act as a broker, agent, bank, money transmitter, fiduciary, or trustee for any user. Listings, account details, and representations are created and controlled solely by the users who post them. We do not independently guarantee the accuracy, legality, quality, safety, or transferability of any listing.

5. Marketplace & Escrow Services

PlayerSells provides a marketplace for buying and selling X (Twitter) accounts, supported by our escrow facilitation service ("PlayerSells Escrow"). Escrow is a convenience feature that holds payment until agreed conditions are met; it does not make PlayerSells a party to the underlying deal or create any banking, custodial, or fiduciary relationship. All transactions must go through our escrow system. Direct transactions arranged outside the platform are prohibited and fall entirely outside any protection, recourse, or assistance offered by PlayerSells.

• Sellers must provide accurate and complete information about listed accounts, including follower counts, engagement metrics, and account history, and must have the lawful right to sell what they list.
• Buyers must complete payment through PlayerSells's approved payment methods before account transfer begins.
• PlayerSells holds escrowed funds until the buyer confirms successful receipt and verification of the account, or until a dispute is resolved under our process.
• Disputes must be raised within 48 hours of account delivery through our dispute resolution process; after this window, a transaction is treated as accepted and completed.
• To protect buyers against the risk of an account being reclaimed or recovered after transfer, withdrawals and the release of escrowed funds to sellers may be subject to a security hold of up to 15 business days following delivery. This holding period may be extended where a dispute, suspected fraud, chargeback, or legal or compliance review is pending.
• New sellers are additionally subject to a clearing period before escrow proceeds from a completed sale become available for withdrawal. This clearing period starts at up to a few days for early sales and decreases automatically as you build a verified track record of successfully completed transactions, and is eventually removed for established sellers. This measure exists to safeguard buyers and to keep transactions on the platform secure. Any timeframes stated elsewhere on the Services for the release of funds are typical estimates and do not override this clearing period or the security holds described above.

6. Assumption of Risk

You understand that buying, selling, and transferring online accounts carries inherent risks. Third-party platforms may, at their own discretion, suspend, restrict, reclaim, or terminate an account, including after a transfer, and account credentials or recovery information may be changed by others. You acknowledge and accept these risks and agree that PlayerSells is not responsible for, and does not insure against, the actions of any third-party platform, counterparty, or recovery of an account by a previous holder. PlayerSells's protections are limited to the escrow and dispute processes described in these Terms.

7. Prohibited Activities

You agree not to:

• List or transfer accounts obtained through unauthorized access, hacking, theft, or any unlawful means, or that you do not have the right to sell.
• Misrepresent account metrics, follower quality, ownership, or account history.
• Use the Services for money laundering, fraud, financing of illegal activity, or any other unlawful purpose.
• Circumvent or attempt to circumvent the escrow process, our fees, or any security measure.
• Create multiple accounts to manipulate reviews, listings, pricing, or platform features.
• Scrape, crawl, reverse-engineer, or use automated tools to access the platform without our prior written permission.

8. Verification, Compliance & Anti-Fraud

To keep the marketplace safe and to meet our legal obligations, we may verify your identity, request additional information or documentation, place holds on transactions, and review activity for fraud, sanctions, and anti-money-laundering purposes. You agree to cooperate with reasonable verification requests. We may decline, pause, reverse, or report any transaction or account that we reasonably believe is fraudulent, unlawful, or in breach of these Terms, and we may share information with payment providers, partners, or authorities where appropriate or required by law.

9. Fees, Payments & Taxes

PlayerSells charges a service fee on completed transactions. Fee rates are displayed before transaction confirmation and are considered earned once the related service has been facilitated. All fees are non-refundable except where required by law. Payments are processed through our third-party payment providers, and you agree to their respective terms. You are solely responsible for determining and paying any taxes, duties, or levies applicable to your transactions.

Middleman fee on cancelled orders. Once an order is funded into escrow, a dedicated PlayerSells agent takes over the transaction, handling, monitoring, and securing it through to completion. Because that work has already been performed, a flat $10 middleman fee is retained from escrow if a funded order is later cancelled by either party, and only the remaining balance is refunded to the buyer. Orders cancelled before escrow is funded are not charged this fee. The current fee amount is shown on our pricing page and may be updated from time to time.

10. No Affiliation with Third-Party Platforms

PlayerSells is an independent service and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or in any way officially connected to X Corp. or any other platform referenced on the site. All product and company names, trademarks, and logos are the property of their respective owners and are used for identification purposes only. You are responsible for reviewing and complying with the terms, policies, and applicable laws of any third-party platform relevant to your use of the Services, and you accept any consequences that those third parties may impose.

11. Disclaimer of Warranties

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Services, the platform, and all listings and content are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement. PlayerSells does not warrant that the Services will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure, or that any account will perform, retain its metrics, or remain active or transferable after a transaction. No advice or information obtained from PlayerSells creates any warranty not expressly stated in these Terms.

12. Intellectual Property

All content, branding, and technology on PlayerSells - including logos, design, text, and software - are the property of PlayerSells or its licensors. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without prior written consent.

13. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless PlayerSells, its affiliates, and their respective officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or related to your listings, transactions, content, your use of the Services, your violation of these Terms or any law, or your infringement of any third-party right or third-party platform's terms.

14. Limitation of Liability

PlayerSells acts as an intermediary and is not responsible for the acts or omissions of buyers or sellers. To the maximum extent permitted by law, PlayerSells and its affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, data, goodwill, or account value, arising from or related to the Services, even if advised of the possibility of such damages. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total aggregate liability for any claim shall not exceed the greater of (a) the total service fees you paid to PlayerSells in the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) one hundred US dollars (USD 100). Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so some of the above may not apply to you.

15. Dispute Resolution & Arbitration

Transaction disputes between users are first handled through PlayerSells's internal dispute resolution process. Any dispute between you and PlayerSells that cannot be resolved informally shall be settled by binding individual arbitration in accordance with applicable law, rather than in court, except that either party may seek relief in a small-claims court or seek injunctive relief for intellectual-property or unauthorized-use matters. To the extent permitted by law, you and PlayerSells agree that disputes will be brought only in an individual capacity and waive the right to participate in any class, collective, or representative action.

16. Termination

PlayerSells may suspend or terminate your access at any time for violation of these Terms or for any reason at our sole discretion. Upon termination, any pending escrow transactions will be handled according to our dispute resolution process. Sections that by their nature should survive - including those relating to our role, assumption of risk, disclaimers, intellectual property, indemnification, limitation of liability, and dispute resolution - survive termination.

17. Force Majeure

PlayerSells is not liable for any failure or delay in performance caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including acts of God, natural disasters, war, terrorism, civil unrest, labor disputes, government action, changes in law, outages or failures of third-party platforms, payment providers, hosting, or telecommunications, or other force-majeure events.

18. General

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which the operator of PlayerSells is established, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles. If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full force, and the unenforceable provision will be applied to the maximum extent permitted by law. Our failure to enforce any right is not a waiver of it. You may not assign these Terms without our consent; we may assign them in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets. These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and any policies referenced here, constitute the entire agreement between you and PlayerSells regarding the Services.
