A League of Legends account is priced by its rank, its level, its champion pool and its skin collection. Level, ranked Solo/Duo and Flex tier, LP, wins and losses, mastery score, champions played and the last-active date on every listing are read from Riot's API and printed with a date; the seller's rank, region and level fields are prefilled from that read and locked. Riot's Terms of Service prohibit transferring an account, so escrow protects you against the seller, not against Riot.
- Step 1
Ownership is proven with a profile icon change
Our server picks a starter profile icon the account is not wearing, the seller equips it in the client, and we read the new icon back through Riot's API within seconds.
- Step 2
Payment sits in escrow
You fund PlayerSells escrow first. The Riot account username, which is different from the Riot ID shown in game, the password and the email on the account are handed over inside the logged deal chat.
- Step 3
You confirm, then the seller is paid
Move the email to your own address, change the password, set up your own two-factor and confirm. A seller who keeps the recovery email has not delivered.
League of Legends Account Buying FAQ
Is buying a League of Legends account allowed by Riot?
Buying or selling a League of Legends account is prohibited by Riot's Terms of Service, which forbid selling, sharing or transferring accounts, and Riot can suspend or ban an account it finds in breach. PlayerSells escrow protects the transaction between you and the seller: payment is held until you control the account. It cannot protect you against Riot enforcing its own terms.
What does PlayerSells verify on a League of Legends listing?
PlayerSells reads the summoner level, region, profile icon, ranked Solo/Duo tier, division, LP, wins and losses, ranked Flex tier, mastery score, the number of champions with mastery, the top champions and the last-active date from Riot's API, and prints them with the date they were read. The seller's rank, region and level fields are prefilled from that read and locked, so they cannot be typed over.
How does the seller prove they own the League account?
A League seller proves ownership by equipping a profile icon our server names: one of the starter icons every account owns that the account is not currently wearing. The target is signed into a token, so the seller cannot name an icon the account already has, and we read the change back through Riot's summoner API within seconds of the client saving it.
What do I sign in with after buying a League of Legends account?
You sign in with the Riot account username, the login name chosen when the account was created, which is different from the Riot ID and tag line shown in the client. The handover includes that username, the password and the email on the account, and the buyer should move the email, change the password and set up two-factor before confirming in the deal chat.
