TikTok trends: the accounts and categories actually rising

This is not a hashtag board. TikTok shows a logged-out reader no post data, so nobody scraping from outside has real hashtag numbers, and we will not print invented ones. What we do have is our own crawler taking a daily follower reading on every account in the PlayerSells TikTok catalog, which is enough to say precisely who is growing and in what. Over the last 7 days the fastest riser we track is Megan Thee Stallion, up 632,173 followers, 3.43% of where it started.

Measured over 11,403 accounts with at least two daily follower readings between 2026-09-07 and 2026-09-14, drawn from the 22,325 active accounts in the PlayerSells TikTok catalog.

Which categories are rising

The median account in each category, over the same 7-day window. The median rather than the average, because one runaway account drags an average somewhere no real creator in that category is.

What this board measures

The PlayerSells TikTok catalog holds 22,325 active accounts, and our crawler stores a follower, likes and video reading for each of them every day. Over the last 7 days 11,403 of those accounts had at least two readings, which is the minimum this board will rank an account on.

Growth is the difference between an account's first and last reading inside the window rather than a sum of daily changes, because a missed crawl would otherwise surface as a one-day jump. The number of readings behind each row is shown in the table, so a figure built on two readings is visibly different from one built on thirty.

By category, News leads over the last 7 days: the median account in it grew 0.23%, across 251 measured accounts. The median is reported rather than the average, because a single runaway account pulls an average somewhere no real creator in that category is.

Accounts our classifier flags as adult are excluded here, as they are everywhere else in the TikTok directory. Categories come from that same classifier, which reads the account's bio and name, so an account whose bio says nothing about its subject sits in the unclassified bucket rather than being assigned a guess.

Measured on 2026-09-14. The board is recomputed hourly.

What this cannot tell you

It is a sample, not a census. The catalog is built by a crawler that grows outward from a seed list, so it is large and it is broad, but an account it has never reached cannot appear here however fast it is growing. Read the board as “the fastest risers among the accounts we track”, which is the claim it actually supports.

It measures followers, and followers are not reach. An account can add followers steadily while its videos are watched less than they were last month, and nothing on this page would show it. For reach you need per-post data, which is the thing TikTok does not give an outside reader.

It cannot tell you why an account is growing. A jump could be one video breaking out, a press mention, a cross-post from another platform, or bought followers. The board says what moved and by how much; the reason is a question for the account.

Frequently asked questions

Does this show trending TikTok hashtags or sounds?

No, and it will not pretend to. TikTok publishes no per-post data to a logged-out reader, and our crawler stores nothing below account level, so we have no hashtag or sound measurements at all. A hashtag board here would be a guess wearing a chart. What we do measure is followers, daily, per account, which is what this page ranks.

Which accounts can appear on this board?

Accounts in the PlayerSells TikTok catalog with at least two daily follower readings inside the window. The catalog is built by our own crawler and grows from a seed list outward, so it is a large sample rather than all of TikTok, and an account that is not in it cannot appear here no matter how fast it is growing. The catalog size is printed under the table.

How is growth calculated?

The difference between an account's first and last daily follower reading inside the window. It is deliberately not a sum of daily changes: when our crawler misses a day, summing daily deltas across the gap manufactures a jump that never happened, whereas differencing the two ends simply covers a slightly shorter window and says how many readings it had.

Why does the percent board need 10,000 followers?

Because below that a percentage stops describing an audience. An account going from 40 followers to 120 is up 200%, which is true and useless. The floor keeps the fastest-percent board readable as what it is meant to be, which is a list of real accounts growing quickly rather than a list of accounts that were almost empty last week.

Why is a category sometimes marked as having too few accounts?

A median over a handful of accounts is noise with a decimal point on it. A category needs at least 25 measured accounts in the window before its median growth is reported. Below that the figure is withheld rather than rounded to zero, because a withheld measurement and a measurement of zero are completely different statements.

Why can I not always pick a 30-day window?

Until 2026-08-24 our crawler read TikTok's on-page follower counters, which are rounded to one decimal place and a unit, so a large account's stored count could be out by tens of thousands. Differencing two rounded readings invents growth, and it invents the most of it on exactly the accounts a rising board puts at the top. Windows therefore start no earlier than the day our counters became exact, and they lengthen on their own as clean days accumulate.

PlayerSells is not affiliated with TikTok. Every number on this page is our own measurement, taken by our crawler from public TikTok profiles once a day and summarised hourly. We do not measure hashtags, sounds, views or any per-post metric, and nothing here is an estimate of something we did not read.
