Is FunPay Legit? Payment Guarantee, Fees and the Best FunPay Alternatives
FunPay is a real, large peer-to-peer marketplace run by Funpay LTD, registered in the Seychelles, with a footer dated back to 2015. The buyer's payment goes to a payment operator and is not released to the seller until the buyer confirms receipt. What FunPay does not publish is a seller commission (its User Agreement says fees vary and "typically" stay under 20% at each stage) or a time limit for problems after the buyer confirms. The closest alternatives are G2G, Eldorado.gg and Z2U for games, and PlayerSells for social media accounts.

Is FunPay legit and safe to use?
FunPay's User Agreement is a public offer of Funpay LTD, registered in the Republic of Seychelles under number 241718, and its footer is dated 2015 to 2026. It calls its payment hold the Transaction Guarantee: the buyer's payment "will not be transferred to the Seller until the Buyer confirms receipt of the Goods". The agreement also says that neither FunPay, its service provider nor the payment operator "is a party to the Transaction between the Buyer and the Seller", and that goods are handed over directly between the two.
The important moment is the buyer's confirmation: after it, "the Transaction is closed and considered completed" and the seller can use the money. FunPay's rules still make the seller liable for a refund of up to 100% if the seller or original owner recovers the account, and up to 50% if the game bans it for being traded, but they publish no time limit and say each decision "may differ significantly". Fees are not one public number: they are calculated by location, provider and operator tariffs, and refunds are reduced by those fees.
How does FunPay compare with its alternatives?

Buyers paying by card, Apple Pay or crypto pay 8% + $0.30. | After the sale: Free 5-day TradeShield on account orders (up to 14 days on some), covering a seller taking the account back; 3 or 6 months for an extra fee on select offers. | Operator: GWD Processing FZCO, Dubai, United Arab Emirates |

| PlayerSells | Who holds the money: PlayerSells holds the payment until the buyer confirms access, then the seller's share clears to their balance after a security hold of 1 to 21 days (15 business days after delivery on a seller's first 3 sales). | Published fee: 15% of the sale, minimum $2.50, capped at $750, paid from the seller's side. Buyers pay the listed price. | After the sale: 30 days after completion to report lost access; if the seller's payment for that order is still held, it can be used to refund the buyer. | Operator: Duck Digital Ltd, England and Wales |
