This loss feels deeply personal. He loved three generations of the Mukesh family, and I often told him that he bridged the void of me never having met my grandfather. My grandfather, Mukesh ji, lent his voice for Dharam ji’s first on-screen debut film song “Mijhko is raat ki…” from the film “Dil Bhi Tera Hum Bhi Tere”, and years later, I had the privilege of making my own debut in Johnny Gaddar with him. Today, my heart feels heavier as I write this msg for my most beloved Tai, Asha Bhosle ji , a woman who was not just an icon to the world, but family to us. To me, she was like a grandmother. Warm, loving, full of grace, and always blessing us with her presence . Her voice has touched generations. The Mukesh family has been truly fortunate to receive her love and affection across four generations. That kind of bond is rare, and we will cherish it forever. Her laughter, her stories, her music, and her blessings were an inseparable part of our lives. Especially during our Ganpati celebrations. Asha Tai’s presence brought a divine energy that can never be replaced. The house will feel quieter, the celebrations a little less complete… but her love and her music will continue to echo in our hearts forever. We will miss you, Tai. Always and forever. A lifetime of love. A legacy that will live forever. My beloved grandfather, the legendary Mukesh Ji, left us 50 years ago today… and yet, it feels like he is amongst us. I never had the privilege of meeting him in person, but I have grown up surrounded by his divine voice, music, memories and the incredible legacy he left behind. I feel deeply honoured and immensely proud to be his grandson. To be able to carry his and my beloved father , @singernitinm Ji’s legacy forward is a blessing.
