A typical post picks up 9 interactions against 197K followers, an engagement rate of 0.005%. Measured over 41 original posts, its engagement rate beats 16% of 20,444 tracked accounts of a similar size. That is a reason to look at how the audience behaves - reply depth, saves, whether the followers are recent - rather than a conclusion about it on its own. Posts are seen about 1.3K times each, and 0.702% of those impressions turn into an interaction. That is about 0.651% of the follower count, which is the gap between an audience on paper and an audience in a timeline. Posting runs at about 2.4 posts a day over the last 30 days, with activity on roughly 63% of days. Most posts go out around 05:00 UTC, and Friday is the busiest day of the week. Of the 41 posts sampled, 78% carry an image or video, 54% are part of a thread and 34% link out. The account's strongest tracked post pulled 82 interactions, about 9.1x its own typical post.

Compared with accounts its own size

WPBeginner's engagement rate beats 16% of the tracked X accounts closest to it in follower count (20,444 accounts, accounts of similar size (decile 9 of 10)). A percentile is spread evenly by construction, so 50 really is the middle of that group and 90 really is its top tenth.

On engagement per impression rather than per follower it beats 34% of the same group. When those two numbers disagree, the gap is about how far its posts travel rather than how people react to them.

Where this sits in the catalog

At 0.005%, WPBeginner sits above the 10th percentile of the 204,694 accounts in this comparison. That places it in the bottom 25% band, which runs below 0.024%.

Its own posting mix on the left, and what each of those formats does across every account we track on the right. Only formats where the effect clears our publish test appear here, so an empty row is a format we could not measure rather than one that does nothing.

Yesterday I got a demo of the new https://t.co/3QOiqxWlRq feature which I believe will be the future of WordPress site management in the AI era. If you're a WordPress agency or someone who manages multiple WordPress sites, this is going to be a game changer for your workflow ๐Ÿ˜ It's called Fleet Management - I think we probably got to work on the name. Basically it allows you to manage and update multiple WordPress sites from a single chat interface inside ChatGPT, Claude, Cursor, etc. Think of it as a free ManageWP alternative except right inside your favorite AI tool. You simply connect WPVibe and ask: "what needs updating across my sites". A list of every connected site renders in the chat: pending plugin, theme and core updates, with version numbers. Simply select the sites you want to update, confirm the plan and it runs in the background. Per site, in order: 1. Recheck what's pending right before touching it, in case something changed since the list rendered. 2. Update. 3. Verify the new version number actually landed. 4. If a site fails, that site stops. The rest keep going. For WordPress core updates, it pauses for a browser approval, because core can't be rolled back from WPVibe and we'd rather you click to be safe. No more host execution timeout limits either. The background job can handle: a search-replace across a big database, hundreds of spam comments deletion, a few hundred trashed posts, stale users. Each task the agent does, it leaves a record of exactly what was done, so you have it for your record. If you're an agency, freelancer, or someone who manages multiple WordPress sites, give it a try -- you're going to love it. This feature was built with feedback from our agency users. What it doesn't do yet: backups or uptime monitoring ... at least not yet ๐Ÿ˜‰ Check out everything we added in WPVibe 1.1.6 - https://t.co/cJLTbO0Caa @johnturner is absolutely crushing it!!

๐Ÿ›‘ Stop falling for the "build your website from scratch with AI" hype! If you try to build a custom website entirely with AI, you usually end up falling into a massive trap. Here is what happens: ยท You use AI to generate a site, but soon realize you can't easily edit it... so you build your own custom CMS. ยท You realize you need to rank on Google, so you code your own SEO tools. ยท You need to keep the site safe, so you try to develop your own backup and security systems (leaving dangerous security holes unless you are an expert developer!). In real, you are wasting time building a fragile version of something that already exists: WordPress. ๐Ÿ˜ If you are a business owner, your goal should be getting clients and generating revenue. Not spending months coding website features from scratch. Here is the RIGHT way to do it: 1. Pick a proven CMS first (WordPress). 2. Use existing, powerful plugins for the heavy lifting (like All in One SEO (@aioseopack) for website traffic, @DuplicatorWP for backups, and @easywpforms for lead generation). 3. Use AI to design and build on top of that solid foundation. Don't reinvent the wheel. Build a high-converting website so you can get back to actually running your business! ๐Ÿ‘‡ Follow WPBeginner if you want to see how it's done. We have upcoming videos showing you exactly how to build beautiful, high-converting WordPress websites using AI the right way!

๐Ÿšจ WordPress just shipped 7.1.2, and it patches a critical vulnerability. Update right away. This one is serious. An unauthenticated attacker could abuse page template resolution to pull in a readable local PHP file from outside your active theme, which can lead to remote code execution on vulnerable setups. The fix has been backported to every branch still eligible for security fixes, going all the way back to WordPress 4.7. If you have automatic background updates enabled, your site has likely already updated. That is the email you see in the video. Here is what you need to know: ๐Ÿ”ด The severity: 1 critical vulnerability, tracked as CVE-2026-87902. ๐Ÿ•’ The timing: It landed a few hours ago, so patch now instead of waiting for your next maintenance window. ๐Ÿ’พ Back up first: Take a fresh backup with a tool like DuplicatorWP before you click update, so you can roll back in seconds if anything breaks. ๐Ÿงฉ Who is affected: Any site on an older release, which is why the fix went back as far as 4.7. ๐Ÿ› ๏ธ How to update: Go to your Dashboard, click Updates, then Update Now. It takes 30 seconds. โœ… Set it and forget it: Turn on automatic updates for minor releases so the next patch lands without you lifting a finger. Have you checked your version yet?

Reading these numbers

What is WPBeginner's engagement rate on X?
WPBeginner (@wpbeginner) has an engagement rate of 0.005%, based on the median interactions across 41 original posts from the last 30 days against 196,889 followers. Replies, reposts and quote-posts of other people are excluded from that sample.
Is that a good engagement rate?
At 0.005%, WPBeginner sits above the 10th percentile of the 204,694 accounts in this comparison. Those comparison accounts are all large ones, because our scanning cadence is weighted towards big accounts, so this is a ranking among peers of similar scale rather than a ranking across X.
Does @wpbeginner have real engagement?
Its engagement rate beats 16% of the tracked X accounts closest to it in follower count (20,444 accounts), which puts it in the bottom quarter for its size group. Ranking inside a size band matters because engagement rate falls as accounts grow, so a raw rate would mostly re-measure the follower count. It is a starting point for a look at follower quality, not a verdict on it.
When does @wpbeginner post?
Most posts go out around 05:00 UTC, and Friday is its busiest day, at roughly 2.43 posts per day across the measured window.
