Wojciech Zaremba engagement report
@woj_zaremba - 168K followers on X
Measured over 1 original post from a 30-day window, last computed on September 21, 2026.
Engagement
Early reading. We have captured 1 original post for this account, below the 8 we require before treating a median as settled. The numbers above describe what we have seen so far, not a finished profile of the account.
A typical post picks up 304 interactions against 168K followers, an engagement rate of 0.185%. Posts are seen about 74K times each, and 0.409% of those impressions turn into an interaction. That is about 44.1% of the follower count, which is the gap between an audience on paper and an audience in a timeline. Posting runs at about 0.1 posts a day over the last 30 days, though only 7% of days saw any activity at all. Most posts go out around 20:00 UTC, and Friday is the busiest day of the week. Of the 1 posts sampled, 100% carry an image or video. The account's strongest tracked post pulled 4.9K interactions, about 16x its own typical post. Only 1 original post have been captured so far, fewer than the 8 posts we want behind a median before treating it as settled. Read the figures above as an early measurement of this account, not as a finished profile of it.

Posting timing
This account posts most often around 20:00 UTC, and Friday is its busiest day of the week. The bars below are the catalog-wide pattern, with this account's own busiest slot marked. They do not show how this account performs at each hour: we keep one aggregate per account, not one per hour, so that measurement does not exist in our data.

Formats this account uses
Its own posting mix on the left, and what each of those formats does across every account we track on the right. Only formats where the effect clears our publish test appear here, so an empty row is a format we could not measure rather than one that does nothing.
| Format | This account | Catalog effect | 95% interval | Accounts behind it |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Image or video | 100% of posts | +111% | +108% to +115% | 34K |
| Outbound link | 0% of posts | -41% | -42% to -40% | 32K |
| Typical length | - | +15% | +14% to +16% | 32K |
- 100% of this account's sampled posts carry an image or video. Across the catalog, posts with an image or video run 111% above the same accounts' other posts.
- 0% of its posts carry a link off X. Across the catalog, posts with an outbound link run 41% below the same accounts' other posts.
- Its average post runs 301 characters, which falls in the over 280 characters band. Across the catalog, posts over 280 characters run 15% above the same accounts' other posts.
These are catalog-wide differences applied to this account's own posting mix, not a measurement of how each format performs for this account specifically. We keep one median per account, not one per format per account, so the second thing is not something this data can tell you.

It’s rare for competitors to collaborate. Yet that’s exactly what OpenAI and @AnthropicAI just did—by testing each other’s models with our respective internal safety and alignment evaluations. Today, we’re publishing the results. Frontier AI companies will inevitably compete on capabilities. But this work with Anthropic is a small, meaningful pilot toward a “race to the top” in safety. The fact that competitors collaborated is more significant than the findings themselves, which are mostly basic. Transparency + accountability → safer AI. Read the report: https://t.co/eWLZY4gryC

It’s sad to see Mira, Bob, and Barret go—not only because they are excellent leaders but also because I will miss seeing them day to day. They are my friends. Their departures made me think about the hardships parents faced in the Middle Ages when 6 out of 8 children would die prematurely. Despite the profound loss, the parents had to accept it and find deep joy and satisfaction in the 2 who survived. OpenAI is not perfect, and that’s fine. In all sorts of ways, this is an opportunity. The organization has achieved a lot and has tremendous potential. I am amazed by the number of talented people around me in the organization. I am in awe of the sheer number of GPUs, users, and people whose lives ChatGPT have changed (there are even cases of people whose lives were saved by ChatGPT). With all its imperfections, OpenAI is extraordinarily amazing. Sam, despite all his shortcomings and mistakes, has created an incredible organization. I wish Mira, Bob, and Barret all the best in finding whatever brings them tremendous joy. That might mean spending time with their kids, starting something new as CEOs, or simply taking some time to chill. They have been sprinting an ultramarathon. Thank you, guys, for being my team and my co-workers. With each of you, I have collected cool memories — with Barret, when we had a fierce conflict about compute for what later became o1; with Bob, when he reprimanded me for doing a jacuzzi with a coworker; and with Mira, who witnessed my engagement. In the end, there is only love.

Life update — I’m moving to the OpenAI Foundation to lead AI resilience. AGI will bring tremendous benefits and potential disruptions, such as impacts on children and youth, model malfunctions, emergent bio-risks, and more. AI resilience is about minimizing these disruptions so society can fully realize the benefits. https://t.co/xCHIbaotfu

Where does the gap between perception and reality on AGI company safety come from? https://t.co/YVcowb1AR8 — Elon is very vocal about safety, but so far, no one at https://t.co/YVcowb1AR8 works on safety. Anthropic — just released a computer-using agent without any safety mitigations. I can only imagine the negative reactions if OpenAI made a similar release. OpenAI — on most safety benchmarks, our models are among the safest out there.

The OpenAI Foundation is joining Intercept as a founding partner through our AI resilience program. As AI accelerates advances in biology and medicine, we also need to prepare for the risks of misuse, including the potential for engineered outbreaks. Intercept Health Fund is working to end respiratory pandemics through a pathogen-agnostic approach, investing in broad-spectrum preventatives and non-pharmaceutical interventions that can protect against a wide range of threats and strengthen a new layer of resilience for humanity. https://t.co/tosS7zvXX1

REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS What do we need to build to prepare the world for advanced AI? >$25 billion is about to flow into AI resilience and AI-for-science from the OpenAI Foundation, the Chan Zuckerberg Initiative, and other major funders. But there's no shovel-ready list of the essential projects to build, and no critical mass of builders ready to execute. We're trying to fix that with The Launch Sequence, a collection of concrete projects to accelerate science, strengthen security, and adapt institutions to future advanced AI. We're opening up The Launch Sequence for new pitches. We'll help you develop your idea, connect you with funders, and get it built. $10,000 honorarium for published proposals. 🔗 Read the RFP and submit a short pitch (200–400 words): https://t.co/tcotJYYH2e We’re looking for short pitches in three areas: 1. Accelerating science: What do researchers need to make breakthroughs with AI that markets and conventional grants won’t fund fast enough? 2. Strengthening security: What tools, technologies, or orgs can help ensure rapid AI advances don't undermine national security and public safety? 3. Adapting institutions: How do our institutions need to evolve to help society adapt to AI-driven change while preserving human agency? Our advisory panel: – @woj_zaremba, OpenAI co-founder – @tkalil2050, CEO of Renaissance Philanthropy – @matthewclifford, Co-founder & Chair of Entrepreneurs First, founding Chair of ARIA On top of the $10,000 honorarium, we offer a $1,000 bounty for pitching an idea we hadn’t heard before (if we publish it), and for every successful referral. Submissions are rolling, but we'll prioritize early pitches (within the next few weeks) and start reviewing immediately.

AI is advancing quickly. Society’s ability to manage its risks must advance just as fast. Today we’re sharing our vision for AI Resilience, with more than $130M in initial grants underway across bio-resilience, cyber-resilience, AI model safety, and AI’s impact on young people: https://t.co/mXwqzIYAPm

A simple AGI safety technique: AI’s thoughts are in plain English, just read them We know it works, with OK (not perfect) transparency! The risk is fragility: RL training, new architectures, etc threaten transparency Experts from many orgs agree we should try to preserve it: 🧵
