A typical post picks up 412 interactions against 267K followers, an engagement rate of 0.155%. Measured over 35 original posts, its engagement rate beats 69% of 6,874 tracked accounts of a similar size, which puts it in the middle of its size range rather than at either end. Posts are seen about 28K times each, and 1.45% of those impressions turn into an interaction. That is about 10.7% of the follower count, which is the gap between an audience on paper and an audience in a timeline. Posting runs at about 1.4 post a day over the last 30 days, though only 33% of days saw any activity at all. Most posts go out around 11:00 UTC, and Tuesday is the busiest day of the week. Of the 35 posts sampled, 17% carry an image or video and 11% link out. The account's strongest tracked post pulled 2.5K interactions, about 6.0x its own typical post.

Compared with accounts its own size

Uncle Bob Martin's engagement rate beats 69% of the tracked X accounts closest to it in follower count (6,874 accounts, accounts of similar size (decile 7 of 10)). A percentile is spread evenly by construction, so 50 really is the middle of that group and 90 really is its top tenth.

On engagement per impression rather than per follower it beats 57% of the same group. When those two numbers disagree, the gap is about how far its posts travel rather than how people react to them.

Where this sits in the catalog

At 0.155%, Uncle Bob Martin sits above the 50th percentile of the 66,258 accounts in this comparison. That places it in the above the median band, which runs 0.1% to 0.499%.

This account posts most often around 11:00 UTC, and Tuesday is its busiest day of the week. The bars below are the catalog-wide pattern, with this account's own busiest slot marked. They do not show how this account performs at each hour: we keep one aggregate per account, not one per hour, so that measurement does not exist in our data.

Formats this account uses

Its own posting mix on the left, and what each of those formats does across every account we track on the right. Only formats where the effect clears our publish test appear here, so an empty row is a format we could not measure rather than one that does nothing.

  • 17% of this account's sampled posts carry an image or video. Across the catalog, posts with an image or video run 111% above the same accounts' other posts.
  • 11% of its posts carry a link off X. Across the catalog, posts with an outbound link run 41% below the same accounts' other posts.
  • Its average post runs 239 characters, which falls in the 180 - 280 characters band. Across the catalog, posts of 180 to 280 characters match the same accounts' other posts almost exactly.

These are catalog-wide differences applied to this account's own posting mix, not a measurement of how each format performs for this account specifically. We keep one median per account, not one per format per account, so the second thing is not something this data can tell you.

For the past several months I've been working on this hypothesis that agents need to be constrained by a harness of deterministic tools that force them to follow a strict process. Gherkin, Code, Unit Tests, Crap, Mutation Tests, etc. But while I've been hammering away on that, the models have gotten astronomically better. I'm starting to think that I'm over constraining them. Perhaps vastly over constraining them.

Have you noticed that when you call businesses an AI sometimes answers? I called a plumber recently and “Rudy“ answered. Rudy was so friendly and effusive that I immediately suspected that it was an AI. So I asked it, point blank, are you an AI? Rudy answered “yes I’m your helpful AI assistant”. Then it and I had an extremely efficient, very pleasant, conversation about what I needed. It knew all the facts, had the schedule right there, I got an appointment confirmed within 90 seconds. I was not put on hold, I was not subjected to someone who could not speak the language, I was not subjected to someone who is so new to their job that they didn’t know how to find the keys on the keyboard. It was a remarkably good experience. Soon, everything is going to be like that. No more “Press one for…”.

It is very spooky how good @grok is getting. I'm having in-depth design discussions with it, and it is contradicting my incorrect assumptions, finding gaps in my reasoning, and showing an immense amount of insight into the issues. It's not hyper-creative, but there are hints of creativity. Spooky.

You may remember a video in which Charlie Kirk was debating a young college girl and the girl gradually exposed a nipple in an attempt to get Charlie Kirk in trouble — or something. I recently saw another video where that same young woman was interacting with a pro life advocate, and she said something to the effect that this advocate was so in love with Charlie Kirk that he wanted to F him in his neck hole. In my opinion, someone who says something like that is so mentally unstable that they require immediate and long-term institutionalization for their own protection, and for the protection of everyone else around them.

I love my cyber truck. I have a 98% full self driving record. I seldom touch the steering wheel. I just let it drive me wherever I want to go. And it’s better at driving than I am. It sees everything around it, has a very fast reaction time, never gets distracted, never gets tired, never gets overwrought, it just drives.

Reading these numbers

A typical post picks up 412 interactions against 267K followers, an engagement rate of 0.155%. Measured over 35 original posts, its engagement rate beats 69% of 6,874 tracked accounts of a similar size, which puts it in the middle of its size range rather than at either end. Posts are seen about 28K times each, and 1.45% of those impressions turn into an interaction. That is about 10.7% of the follower count, which is the gap between an audience on paper and an audience in a timeline. What is Uncle Bob Martin's engagement rate on X?
Uncle Bob Martin (@unclebobmartin) has an engagement rate of 0.155%, based on the median interactions across 35 original posts from the last 30 days against 266,658 followers. Replies, reposts and quote-posts of other people are excluded from that sample.
Is that a good engagement rate?
At 0.155%, Uncle Bob Martin sits above the 50th percentile of the 66,258 accounts in this comparison. Those comparison accounts are all large ones, because our scanning cadence is weighted towards big accounts, so this is a ranking among peers of similar scale rather than a ranking across X.
Does @unclebobmartin have real engagement?
Its engagement rate beats 69% of the tracked X accounts closest to it in follower count (6,874 accounts), which puts it in the middle of its size range group. Ranking inside a size band matters because engagement rate falls as accounts grow, so a raw rate would mostly re-measure the follower count. It is a starting point for a look at follower quality, not a verdict on it.
When does @unclebobmartin post?
Most posts go out around 11:00 UTC, and Tuesday is its busiest day, at roughly 1.4 posts per day across the measured window.
