A typical post picks up 466 interactions against 56K followers, an engagement rate of 0.836%. Measured over 8 original posts, its engagement rate beats 82% of 20,445 tracked accounts of a similar size. Comparing inside a size band matters here: engagement rate falls as accounts grow, so a raw rate would mostly just re-measure the follower count. Posts are seen about 9.5K times each, and 4.88% of those impressions turn into an interaction. That is about 17.2% of the follower count, which is the gap between an audience on paper and an audience in a timeline. Posting runs at about 1 post a day over the last 30 days, with activity on roughly 57% of days. Most posts go out around 04:00 UTC, and Sunday is the busiest day of the week. Of the 8 posts sampled, 38% carry an image or video. The account's strongest tracked post pulled 5.4K interactions, about 12x its own typical post.

Compared with accounts its own size

Taimur Malik's engagement rate beats 82% of the tracked X accounts closest to it in follower count (20,445 accounts, accounts of similar size (decile 5 of 10)). A percentile is spread evenly by construction, so 50 really is the middle of that group and 90 really is its top tenth.

On engagement per impression rather than per follower it beats 84% of the same group. When those two numbers disagree, the gap is about how far its posts travel rather than how people react to them.

Where this sits in the catalog

At 0.836%, Taimur Malik sits above the 75th percentile of the 205,152 accounts in this comparison. That places it in the top 25% band, which runs 0.678% to 2.55%.

They do not show how this account performs at each hour: we keep one aggregate per account, not one per hour, so that measurement does not exist in our data.

Formats this account uses

Its own posting mix on the left, and what each of those formats does across every account we track on the right. Only formats where the effect clears our publish test appear here, so an empty row is a format we could not measure rather than one that does nothing.

  • 0% of its posts carry a link off X. Across the catalog, posts with an outbound link run 41% below the same accounts' other posts.
  • Its average post runs 381 characters, which falls in the over 280 characters band. Across the catalog, posts over 280 characters run 15% above the same accounts' other posts.

These are catalog-wide differences applied to this account's own posting mix, not a measurement of how each format performs for this account specifically. We keep one median per account, not one per format per account, so the second thing is not something this data can tell you.

My article today regarding steps that can be taken to improve access to justice in Pakistan. Many of these can be implemented without waiting for extensive legislative amendments. They just need to be implemented properly. #QanoonInsaafNizam https://t.co/mTFh5vUxBg

Dr Uzma Khan and Dr Faisal Sultan had little choice but to place yesterday’s events on the public record. In the face of the Government’s disregard of the Supreme Court’s express order and official statements this morning seeking to shape the narrative, the facts could not be left ambiguous until the next hearing. This is no longer just about Imran Khan’s medical treatment. It is about compliance with and the authority of the Supreme Court. The next hearing will now have to address the consequences of the Government’s non-compliance.

The late-night raids on the homes of Aleema Khan and Dr Uzma Khan, and the abduction of family members including Sakeena Niazi, Shahrez Khan and Shershah Khan, are deeply disturbing. Two female domestic staff members and a cook have also been taken away. Storming private homes in the middle of the night, with small children present, and taking away family members and household staff is an abuse of state power. Pakistan must be governed by law, not fear. We will take this blatant abuse of power to court. The judiciary must now act to uphold the rule of law and protect citizens against the unlawful exercise of state power.

Police remain outside Aleema Khan’s home, where Imran Khan’s two other sisters and members of our legal team are present. Moreover, Noreen Khan’s daughter and son-in-law have been taken into custody near the family home. The authorities must release them immediately. There can be no restriction on liberty or movement without due process. Arbitrary detention of family members cannot be allowed to become a means of pressure or a norm.

What is perhaps most troubling is the growing normalisation of all this. Midnight raids, preventive detentions, homes surrounded, family members and even household staff taken away and society gradually becomes numb. The rule of law cannot depend on whose home is being raided or whose political views we agree with. When arbitrary state power is tolerated because it is being exercised against someone else, the protections of law are weakened for everyone. A society that remains silent while legal boundaries are repeatedly crossed may eventually discover that those boundaries no longer protect anyone.

Re Dr Uzma Khan and Noreen Niazi’s unlawful MPO detention orders, Lahore High Court has admitted our petition today and sought report from the Government of Punjab. Hope a short date will be given by the Court and they will be released soon. @MudassarUmer4

We had challenged the various unlawful MPO detention orders through which around two dozen PTI supporters had been illegally detained in and around Multan. Justice Muhammad Waheed Khan of Lahore High Court Multan Bench has now given relief in multiple cases resulting in the MPO detention orders being declared as “illegal and without any lawful justification”. All the detained individuals have been released as well. Abdul Rauf Niazi Adv, Barrister Usman Dogar and Barrister @saraalisyed appeared in the cases.

Reading these numbers

A typical post picks up 466 interactions against 56K followers, an engagement rate of 0.836%. Comparing inside a size band matters here: engagement rate falls as accounts grow, so a raw rate would mostly just re-measure the follower count. That is about 17.2% of the follower count, which is the gap between an audience on paper and an audience in a timeline. What is Taimur Malik's engagement rate on X?
Taimur Malik (@taimur_malik) has an engagement rate of 0.836%, based on the median interactions across 8 original posts from the last 30 days against 55,587 followers. Replies, reposts and quote-posts of other people are excluded from that sample.
Is that a good engagement rate?
At 0.836%, Taimur Malik sits above the 75th percentile of the 205,152 accounts in this comparison. Those comparison accounts are all large ones, because our scanning cadence is weighted towards big accounts, so this is a ranking among peers of similar scale rather than a ranking across X.
Does @taimur_malik have real engagement?
Its engagement rate beats 82% of the tracked X accounts closest to it in follower count (20,445 accounts), which puts it in the top quarter for its size group.
