Sridhar Vembu engagement report
@svembu - 433K followers on X
Measured over 16 original posts from a 30-day window, last computed on August 30, 2026.
Engagement
A typical post picks up 2.3K interactions against 433K followers, an engagement rate of 0.53%. Measured over 16 original posts, its engagement rate beats 91% of 3,899 tracked accounts of a similar size. Comparing inside a size band matters here: engagement rate falls as accounts grow, so a raw rate would mostly just re-measure the follower count. Posts are seen about 108K times each, and 2.12% of those impressions turn into an interaction. That is about 25.0% of the follower count, which is the gap between an audience on paper and an audience in a timeline. Posting runs at about 0.77 post a day over the last 30 days, though only 43% of days saw any activity at all. Most posts go out around 03:00 UTC, and Monday is the busiest day of the week. Of the 16 posts sampled, 19% carry an image or video and 19% link out. The account's strongest tracked post pulled 29K interactions, about 13x its own typical post.

Compared with accounts its own size
Sridhar Vembu's engagement rate beats 91% of the tracked X accounts closest to it in follower count (3,899 accounts, accounts of similar size (decile 7 of 10)). A percentile is spread evenly by construction, so 50 really is the middle of that group and 90 really is its top tenth.
On engagement per impression rather than per follower it beats 71% of the same group. When those two numbers disagree, the gap is about how far its posts travel rather than how people react to them.
Where this sits in the catalog
At 0.53%, Sridhar Vembu sits above the 75th percentile of the 37,701 accounts in this comparison. That places it in the top 25% band, which runs 0.439% to 2.10%.

This account posts most often around 03:00 UTC, and Monday is its busiest day of the week. The bars below are the catalog-wide pattern, with this account's own busiest slot marked. They do not show how this account performs at each hour: we keep one aggregate per account, not one per hour, so that measurement does not exist in our data.

Modi-ji appoints Nandan Nilekani, who contested the 2014 elections as a Congress Party candidate, because the government respects his experience leading Infosys and Aadhaar and so many other projects. Priyanka-ji attacks IIT Madras Director Prof Kamakoti, under whose leadership IIT Madras has emerged as the top tech institution in India and has spawned a vibrant startup ecosystem. One of them is a classy leader.

Japan was our first office outside India and the US. That was 2001. Yesterday, I visited our office in Yokohama and I'm reminded that we were a small unknown company from Chennai and we chose the hardest market first. Nobody in Japan buys because of a brand or a pitch. They watch how you behave when something breaks, and if you pass that test they stay with you for decades. That patience got into our engineering culture and never left. ありがとうございます 🙏

One of the Zoho group companiee, Vipus Advanced Materials, is focused on carbon fiber composites. A retired ISRO scientist is one of the key people behind it. Vipus has supplied advanced composite components to Skyroot Aerospace. So Skyroot's successful launch feels even more special! Vipus is among the fastest companies to qualify as a HAL Class I supplier, with orders for LCA Tejas aircraft structures, and is working with L&T Precision Engineering Systems. From semiconductor fabs to aerospace, the sheer scale of ambition unleashed in the past decade in India is awe-inspiring. Each step will now lead to a bigger, bolder step. Barriers that once seemed insurmountable are falling. We must also remember: it is all because we elected a leader and a government with the vision and the determination to get it done. Leadership matters. We have a lot more work ahead. We face forces that want to stop our rise. We will prevail. Thank you Modi-ji for inspiring so many of us 🙏

Genuine question, I have rarely seen children of commie leaders turning into ‘Sanghis’, for that matter @asadowaisi’s kids will never turn into woke liberals, but why do so many @BJP4India and even Sangh Swayamsevaks seem to be raising woke, entitled, abusive brats in their homes, who neither respect their parents nor the ideology they espouse? What’s going wrong?

Some facts: about 90% of our revenue comes from outside India, won against tough global competition. About 2% of our revenue is from the government and when we do business with the government, we always save the taxpayer money, which we have the utmost respect for. We are also among the largest tax payers in our region. I have never asked for a favor from the government and I never will. When asked for advice, I provide it and I do it independent of political ideology - the Kerala Startup Mission, when the Left Front government was in power, wanted my advice. I told them Keralam has the potential to be a major R&D hub of India. Since then, we have invested in numerous R&D driven statups in Keralam. In Tamil Nadu, our Chief Minister has made a great new beginning and I am happy to support his effort. It is not because of political ideology but because I want good things to happen in Tamil Nadu. I love our nation, and I speak my mind. I will not bow down to attacks nor threats. The attacks make us stronger and help us achieve greater success.

One of the suggestions I have for our Honourable Chief Minister Joseph Vijay is to consider Singapore like laws on drug dealing and high level corruption. Singapore awards the death penalty for drug dealing and for high level corruption. They do enforce these laws. In the Indian context, at the Ministerial level and at the all India services level (IAS, IPS etc) we must: 1. Drastically raise the pay. 2. Any future corruption should attract the death penalty. Raising the pay is equally important and we should declare an amnesty for past sins so we do not endlessly debate the past. The courts should enfoce it, after proper review and due process but due process can not mean 30 year delay. Sigapore courts are very efficient and we can learn from them. I have been an ardent fan of Lee Kuan Yew my entire adult life and I have read every one of his speeches! We must study his approach.

Prime Minister Modi-ji's Independence Day call to Indian companies to join the ranks of leading global companies is deeply inspiring. It means a stronger and deeper commitment to R&D at every level. Bharat must lead in algorithms and atoms, AI and photons, lenses and magnets, robots and rockets and all the technologies in between. We have the brains to do it! His bold vision inspires us to work harder at Zoho. Happy Independence Day! Jai Hind 🫡

- What is Sridhar Vembu's engagement rate on X?
- Sridhar Vembu (@svembu) has an engagement rate of 0.53%, based on the median interactions across 16 original posts from the last 30 days against 432,552 followers. Replies, reposts and quote-posts of other people are excluded from that sample.
- Is that a good engagement rate?
- At 0.53%, Sridhar Vembu sits above the 75th percentile of the 37,701 accounts in this comparison. Those comparison accounts are all large ones, because our scanning cadence is weighted towards big accounts, so this is a ranking among peers of similar scale rather than a ranking across X.
- Does @svembu have real engagement?
- Its engagement rate beats 91% of the tracked X accounts closest to it in follower count (3,899 accounts), which puts it in the top 10% for its size group. Ranking inside a size band matters because engagement rate falls as accounts grow, so a raw rate would mostly re-measure the follower count. It is a starting point for a look at follower quality, not a verdict on it.
- When does @svembu post?
- Most posts go out around 03:00 UTC, and Monday is its busiest day, at roughly 0.77 posts per day across the measured window.
