Early reading. We have captured 3 original posts for this account, below the 8 we require before treating a median as settled. The numbers above describe what we have seen so far, not a finished profile of the account.

A typical post picks up 1.2K interactions against 469K followers, an engagement rate of 0.256%. Posts are seen about 37K times each, and 3.26% of those impressions turn into an interaction. That is about 7.84% of the follower count, which is the gap between an audience on paper and an audience in a timeline. Posting runs at about 0.17 posts a day over the last 30 days, though only 10% of days saw any activity at all. Most posts go out around 13:00 UTC, and Wednesday is the busiest day of the week. Of the 3 posts sampled, 33% carry an image or video and 33% link out. The account's strongest tracked post pulled 190K interactions, about 158x its own typical post. Only 3 original posts have been captured so far, fewer than the 8 posts we want behind a median before treating it as settled. Read the figures above as an early measurement of this account, not as a finished profile of it.

Engagement rate as a share of followers, across the 37,582 accounts we have scanned enough to measure. The axis is logarithmic, because the top and bottom of this population are about 105,409 times apart and a linear axis would flatten everything below the median into a single point.

Posting timing

This account posts most often around 13:00 UTC, and Wednesday is its busiest day of the week. The bars below are the catalog-wide pattern, with this account's own busiest slot marked. They do not show how this account performs at each hour: we keep one aggregate per account, not one per hour, so that measurement does not exist in our data.

I got to attend my friend Chris Mortensen’s funeral in Arkansas today. It was emotional, of course… a whole, full life summed up in just a couple hours. But I was struck by a few things: 1) No one mentioned a single TV report he ever made. He was one of the best in his whole industry, gave his whole working life to ESPN, but not one person brought up his actual work, only the way he treated people while he was doing it. 2) Every single person mentioned the way he talked about his family while he was at work… the way he esteemed his wife, Micki and how proud he was of Alex. 3) He was very matter of fact about his faith, but never pushy. He would ask you how your faith was but never judged, and never made you feel ashamed for where you were at. He just wanted to talk about it because it mattered to him. 4) He was hilarious. The only person he made fun of more than you was himself. 😂 Singing Great is Thy Faithfulness with his friends, family and colleagues is something I will treasure until it’s my time to go too. You did well, Mort. ❤️

I take the subway multiple times a day, every day, with my 3 kids. Every single day we encounter several clearly unwell and violent men. I’ve taught my kids not to make eye contact, to switch train cars even when it’s not our stop & to never get on a nearly empty train. All split second decisions as we try to gauge whether an obviously sick person is going to hurt someone or just continue screaming, knocking things over, etc. The horrific video of Iryna’s murder has confirmed my belief that we HAVE to get these men off the streets. Our DAs and judges have failed us. They show the illusion of empathy for the mentally ill… but it is neither loving nor safe to continue to let career criminals roam the streets. @NYCMayor

Asked Scottie Scheffler about the Olympic experience, about being among iconic athletes of his era, and if he thinks about legacy and his place in sports. He shrugged, said, nah, not really, explained his indifference, and concluded, "Ultimately, we'll be forgotten." OK then.
