À Lingwala, le ministre provincial des Infrastructures, Travaux publics et Reconstruction, Alain Tshilungu, accélère les travaux de construction et de réhabilitation de plusieurs voies d’accès au centre-ville de Kinshasa. Huit avenues sont concernées par les travaux : Avenue Nyangwe : 1,17 km, de Huileries à Libération ; Avenue Kalembelembe : 1,18 km, de Huileries à Libération ; Avenue Kabinda : 3,77 km, de Libération à Flambeau ; Avenue Itaga : 2,05 km, du Haut Commandement à Huileries ; Avenue Basankusu : 640 mètres, de Libération à Mushie ; Avenue Kigoma 1 : 502 mètres, de Huileries à Mushie ; Avenue Mont des Arts : de Huileries à Libération ; Avenue Isangi : de Huileries à Libération. Sur plusieurs de ces axes, le choix du béton armé doit permettre de garantir une meilleure résistance aux intempéries et une durée de vie estimée entre 30 et 40 ans. Au-delà de la modernisation de la voirie, les autorités communales insistent sur la nécessité de préserver ces ouvrages. La population est ainsi appelée au civisme, notamment en évitant de jeter des déchets dans les caniveaux, afin de prévenir leur obstruction et de maintenir un bon drainage des eaux de pluie.
