I received news of the shooting with deep concern, but also relief that @POTUS @realDonaldTrump, other dignitaries, and journalists present were unharmed. Political violence is the epitome of cowardice. It undermines nations and deepens existing divisions. The fact that this incident follows two prior attacks on @POTUS @realDonaldTrump is especially alarming. It raises serious questions about the message behind such acts and must be treated as a clear warning. At a time when the world is already facing too much violence, Serbia firmly opposes all forms of it and promotes dialogue as the cornerstone of any true democracy and the only viable path to resolving disagreements.
