Falleció Eduardo Emilio Vilarete, uno de los grandes goleadores del fútbol colombiano en las décadas de los 70 y 80, recordado también por su extraordinaria capacidad en el juego aéreo y por ser uno de los mejores cabeceadores de su época. Se destacó en varios equipos del fútbol colombiano, entre ellos Atlético Nacional y Unión Magdalena, además de vestir la camiseta de la Selección Colombia. Acompañamos a sus familiares y seres queridos en este triste momento. Paz en su tumba.

Qué buena noticia, @avianca inicia desde el 1 de noviembre vuelos diarios de Guayaquil a Cuenca y de Cuenca a Guayaquil. Al fin! Era increíble, hace 50 años, Tame y SAN hacían vuelos diarios en esa ruta. Por lo menos habían dos vuelos al dia. Ese retroceso de 50 años parecería llegar a su fin. Ojalá con la nueva ley de aviación se puedan conectar rutas que vinculen a Guayaquil con Latacunga, lo cual facilitaría traslados a esa ciudad, Ambato, Riobamba y Baños. Por qué no, vuelos directos al Oriente, especialmente a Coca en la Prov de Orellana, para hacer turismo en el Parque Nacional Yasuní, una maravilla natural. También los aeropuertos de Manta y Santa Rosa deben tener más actividad. El de Santa Rosa no solo acerca a Machala si no a Pasaje, la frontera o El Oro Alto. Tanto en Latacunga como en Santa Rosa debe exigirse un parque rent-automotor para que el uso del aeropuerto buscando otras ciudades sea más efectivo.

Todo indica que CR7 culminó su brillante ciclo en la Selección de Portugal. Ha abandonado hoy la concentración lusa en claro escenario de conflicto con compañeros, entrenador y dirigentes. En el mundial 2026 fue evidente el distanciamiento con sus compañeros. Tuvieron un comportamiento totalmente opuesto al de los jugadores argentinos con Messi. Ronaldo es el jugador más importante de Portugal y de su Selección. El máximo goleador, campeón de europa y Liga de Naciones, solo con la frustración de no haber ganado una copa del mundo. La Selección ya fue. No tiene ambiente y tampoco su presente da para más. Su único objetivo en este momento debería ser los 20 y pico de goles que le faltan para llegar al gol #1000. Ojalá este año pueda anotar 6 a 8 goles más, para que el 2027 lo tome con tranquilidad y llegue sin problemas. A la par, ya debe ir organizando su despedida, sea con giras, con un partido final o un evento especial. Se me ocurre un cuadrangular entre: Real Madrid, Manchester United, Sporting de Lisboa donde debutó y el equipo árabe donde se retirará. Sería un mini torneo de mucha expectativa y en donde se garantice que CR7 juegue la final con cualquiera de los 4. Preferiblemente con el Madrid. Aún recuerdo la despedida de Pelé en un juego entre Cosmos y Santos en New York, con el Rey jugando un tiempo para cada equipo. CR7 ya está en el aterrizaje de su carrera, es cuestión de pensar en sacar el tren y ya no de intentar seguir volando alto.

Al fin un oasis en este año, para Enner. Su brillante actuación de anoche le otorga una gran dosis de confianza, revierte esa sensación de contratación fracasada y le puede enderezar el camino para las próximas jornadas. Ojalá entre en esa racha de gol que ha tenido muchas veces en su carrera: opacidad, brillantez, opacidad, brillantez. Nunca fue un goleador continuo pero cuando ha entrado en racha, sea de la mala o la buena, la hace sentir. Ahora: varias consideraciones. 1) la posición de Enner en nuestro fútbol es inalterable. Eso no significa que Enner no merezca un gran partido de despedida con la selección. Ojalá lo tenga. Hay que acompañarlo a Enner Valencia a que avance hasta donde pueda internacionalmente previo a su retorno final al balompié nacional. Mientras tanto, aplaudir y celebrar la jornada de ayer que le da un vuelco importante al ambiente que vivía Enner en el mundo Boca.

Con el 5% escrutado en Brasil, Bolsonaro tiene el 50% y Lula el 41%. El resto para otras opciones. Es una muestra muy pequeña aún y sobretodo no repartida con el peso demográfico necesario para hacer una proyección final. En la elección de hace 4 años, Lula comenzó a remontar a partir del 60% del escrutinio. Pero igual es una señal importante en favor de Bolsonaro arrancar con una ventaja significativa. Esta elección sacará chispas sin duda.

Es increíble lo de Enner. Volvió a anotar esta noche ante Instituto. Es el delantero más "rachero" que conocí en el fútbol. Tiene constantes ciclos de buena y mala racha. Cuando le entre una, le entran varias durante un tiempo. Luego cuando no le entra, pasan largos momentos de abstinencia con el gol. Lástima que le tocó esta última en el mundial.

Nacido en Jujuy, fue uno de los volantes ofensivos extraordinarios de la década del 70. Nacido en Jujuy, debutó en Gimnasia de esa ciudad luego fue a Talleres donde se convirtió en ídolo. En algún momento armó una gran dupla con la "pepona" Reinaldi. Menotti lo llamó a la selección para el 78, fue uno de los enlaces que dejó afuera ni más ni menos que a Maradona y Bochini. Fue parte importante de ese primer campeonato del mundo para Argentina. También jugó el Mundial 82 junto a Maradona y Kempes. Es uno de los 4 campeones del mundo que llegaron a Ecuador, lo hizo para Liga de Quito en 1986; los otros tres fueron Moacyr Pinto traído por Everest, Jairzihno incorporado a 9 de Octubre y Marcelo Trobbiani contratado por Barcelona. Leo por ahí que escriben de favoritismo a Barcelona porque no se juega al medio día ante Liga. Pobre Barcelona! Le dan palo por cualquier cosa. Pregunto: se está jugando ordinariamente al medio día en Quito o en alguna ciudad, incluida la costa? R: No, con excepción de 2 o 3 partidos en el año. A qué hora comienzan las programaciones? R: a la 1y30pm en adelante. Si los partidos comienzan al inicio de la tarde, es ilógico pensar que al no poderse jugar en horario nocturno, se juegue a las 4y30pm? R: No es ilógico que jueguen a las 4y30pm. Por qué no es ilógico? Porque es un partido de alta sintonía y asistencia. Cómodo para los que lo ven después de almorzar, completan la tarde con el partido y para los que van, almuerzan en casa y van tranquilo al estadio. Supongo que eso es lo lógico. Favorece deportivamente a los equipos de la sierra jugar a esa hora contra lo de la costa? Puede favorecerles algo pero cuando Barcelona o Emelec han tenido buenos años, han quedado hasta campeones en partidos al medio dia: 1960, 1987, 1988, 1989, 1995, 20015, 2016. En el caso de Barcelona anda tan mal que pierde en el Monumental a las 7pm, así que, salvo un batacazo, da lo mismo a la hora que juegue. Qué obsesión por Dios.
