Afişini ilk kez gördüğümde küçük bir şok geçirdiğimi hatırlıyorum. Nasıl yani, Karajan ve Bernstein arasında geçen kurgusal bir sohbeti konu alan bir tiyatro oyunu İstanbul’da mı sahnelenecekti? Bu enteresan konu, Peter Danish tarafından on yıl önce yazılmaya başlanmış ve henüz üç yıl önce dünya prömiyeri yapılmıştı. Danish, “Devlerin Savaşı” adını vereceği oyununun ilhamını, klasik müziğin başkenti Viyana’nın, klasik müzik sanatının devlerinin de uğrak yerlerinden biri olan efsanevi Hotel Sacher’in barında otururken almıştı. Oyunu dün akşam Ataşehir DasDas sahnesinde izledim. Tek aralı oyun yaklaşık 90 dakika sürdü. Bu içerikte bir oyunun Türkiye’de bu kadar beğenilmesi ve sahne üstüne sahne alması çok şaşırtıcı ve geleceğe dair umut verici. Tabii bu başarıda, Türkiye’de geniş kesimlerce hemen hiç tanınmayan klasik müziğin bu iki efsanevi isminin, ülkemizin iki popüler ve çok sevilen tiyatro sanatçısı tarafından sahnede canlandırılması da büyük bir etken diye düşünüyorum. Sırf bu nedenden dolayı, klasik müziğe yazar, yayıncı ve daha başka alanlarda 30 yılını vermiş biri olarak, oyunu Türkçeye, ülkemize ve izleyicilerimize kazandıran tüm bu ekibe teşekkür, takdir ve minnetimi sunmak isterim. Bizim gibi bu alanın yayıncılık, yazarlık ve belgeselcilik gibi taraflarında çalışan emekçilerin 30 yılda yapamadığını veya yapamayacağını, iyi yazılmış ve iyi sahnelenmiş bir oyunla yapabildikleri için bu ekibe şapka çıkarıyorum. İşte tiyatro sanatının ve tiyatrocuların gücü! Hem mükemmel bir oyunculuk gösterisi izlemek hem de klasik müziğin iki efsane ismini, kurgusal da olsa öne çıkan özellikleriyle yakından tanımak ve orkestra şefliğinin o gizemli ve çok az tanınan dünyasının perdelerini aralamak isteyenler Devlerin Savaşı’nı mutlaka izlemeliler.
