A typical post picks up 15 interactions against 170K followers, an engagement rate of 0.009%. Measured over 9 original posts, its engagement rate beats 22% of 20,444 tracked accounts of a similar size. That is a reason to look at how the audience behaves - reply depth, saves, whether the followers are recent - rather than a conclusion about it on its own. Posts are seen about 3.9K times each, and 0.387% of those impressions turn into an interaction. That is about 2.29% of the follower count, which is the gap between an audience on paper and an audience in a timeline. Posting runs at about 2.1 posts a day over the last 30 days, though only 17% of days saw any activity at all. Most posts go out around 09:00 UTC, and Sunday is the busiest day of the week. Of the 9 posts sampled, 100% carry an image or video. The account's strongest tracked post pulled 1.7K interactions, about 110x its own typical post. Recurring topics include #nwscbaraza, #tugendetukole, #waterman.

Compared with accounts its own size

NWSC ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ฌ's engagement rate beats 22% of the tracked X accounts closest to it in follower count (20,444 accounts, accounts of similar size (decile 9 of 10)). A percentile is spread evenly by construction, so 50 really is the middle of that group and 90 really is its top tenth.

On engagement per impression rather than per follower it beats 22% of the same group. When those two numbers disagree, the gap is about how far its posts travel rather than how people react to them.

Where this sits in the catalog

At 0.009%, NWSC ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ฌ sits above the 10th percentile of the 208,041 accounts in this comparison. That places it in the bottom 25% band, which runs below 0.025%.

Mbale water project hits 97% as testing and commissioning begin Mbale, Uganda The Government of Uganda @GovUganda , through the National Water and Sewerage Corporation is constructing the Mbale Water Supply and Sanitation Project. The Project has reached 97% physical completion following a two-day monitoring mission and monthly progress review. The exercise brought together the consultant, the contractor and NWSCโ€™s project and Area teams to review progress and prepare for testing, commissioning and handover. The team inspected the Namatalaโ€“Bungokho pipeline, Musola Reservoir, Bungokho Water Treatment Plant and Manafwa Water Treatment Plant. Most components are substantially complete. The IUIU sewerage network, sewer rehabilitation, Busoba Reservoir, public sanitation facilities and distribution lines are all at 100%. Namatala Water Treatment Plant is at 98%, while Manafwa Water Treatment Plant stands at 93.3%. Remaining work is largely finishing, testing and snag closure. At Manafwa WTP, this includes pipe and pump testing, water-tightness tests and minor finishing works. Stakeholders agreed that a joint inspection should be carried out before final handover. Once commissioned, the project is expected to improve access to safe water and sanitation in Mbale and surrounding towns. #NwscUpdates @NWSCMD

Hoima Water Supply Improvement Project Takes Shape. The Government of Uganda @GovUganda , through NWSC, is constructing the Hoima Water Supply Project. This is part of the governmentโ€™s strategic investment in critical infrastructure to support AFCON and the continued growth of the Albertine Region as Ugandaโ€™s oil and gas hub. The project will draw water from the River Kafu in Kikuube District, treat it at a new conventional water treatment plant, and transmit it to Hoima City through a bulk water transfer system. It will deliver a treatment plant with capacity to produce 2 million litres of water daily, about 25 kilometres of transmission and distribution pipelines, and a 300-cubic-metre elevated steel reservoir at Musaijamukulu Hill, along with associated pumping, electrical and storage infrastructure. The Hoima 2 water supply project will augment the existing Hoima 1 system, which has served the city for many years but can no longer meet demand amid rapid urbanisation, population growth and rising industrial activity linked to the oil and gas sector. NWSC and the Government of Uganda are also finalising designs for the longer-term Hoima 3 Water Supply system, which would substantially expand water production, transmission and storage capacity. The two systems would eventually be integrated into a unified network for greater efficiency and resilience. @NWSCMD

NWSC Completes Major Works at Awoja Plant, Boosting Daily Water Production Capacity to 10 Million Litres Soroti, Uganda โ€” Major improvement works at the Awoja Water Treatment Plant are nearing completion, with key infrastructure now operational and the plant positioned to increase water production from 7 million to 10 million litres per day. The project, implemented by the National Water and Sewerage Corporation (NWSC), aims to improve the reliability, adequacy and coverage of water supply across Soroti City and surrounding districts including Soroti, Kalaki, Kaberamaido and Amuria. Greater Gweri and other underserved communities are also set to benefit from expanded distribution networks. According to the latest progress update, substantial milestones have already been achieved. A second raw water pipeline measuring 700 metres of 14-inch pipe has been fully laid, with 65 out of 74 supporting pedestals cast. This is expected to strengthen the volume of raw water delivered to the plant. On the treatment side, three major new units are complete and fully operational: a 454.5 cubic metre clarifier, an 18 square metre rapid filter, and a 34.65 cubic metre flocculator. These have been successfully interconnected with the existing treatment network, marking a significant step toward the higher production target. At the raw water intake and pumping facilities, a new DN300 suction line has been installed, and all three high-lift pumps are in place. The installation of three new low-lift submersible pumps is expected to be completed by the end of October 2026. The 13.5-kilometre DN300 transmission main is fully laid, and the anchoring of both the DN300 transmission main and DN350 distribution line at Opiyai Rock has been completed, securing the pipelines along the rocky section. Distribution network expansion is also advancing to bring water closer to consumers. Completed or ongoing works include: - 5.3 km of 3-inch pipeline in Aukot Sub-county - 3 km of pipeline at Asukut Trading Centre, Awalwal Sub-county - 19 km of 6-inch main pipeline in Awalwal and surrounding areas - 5 km of 4-inch pipeline in Takaramiam - 4 km of 3-inch pipeline in Omugenya - 6 km of 2-inch pipeline serving Takaramiam and Damasco - 2.5 km of 1-inch pipeline in Damasco Remaining distribution works are targeted for completion by the end of the 2026/2027 financial year. Once fully commissioned, the combined interventions are expected to raise daily production by 3 million litres, strengthen supply reliability across the service area, reduce the distances communities travel to collect water, and support public health and socioeconomic development. The additional treatment capacity, upgraded pumping systems, strengthened transmission infrastructure and extended distribution network are designed to meet current demand while creating room for future growth in Soroti City and the wider region. @NWSCMD

The dry spell and rapidly rising demand in the Kampala Metropolitan Service Area, as well as in a few other areas of our operations, have taken a toll on our water supply systems. Subsequently, customers in our areas of operation, especially those on the periphery of our network, have experienced water supply challenges. We want to assure you that the Government of Uganda, through NWSC, is taking action and investing in new infrastructure across the Kampala water supply network. In Kampala, NWSC is implementing the Katosi Package 2B project, among other interventions, to stabilise water supply in the Kampala Metropolitan Service Area. We are working towards a more reliable water supply and easing these challenges, with a number of projects nearing completion. Water supply across the Greater Kampala Metropolitan Area will soon return to normal, with a more steady and reliable flow. We appreciate your patience and understanding as we work to improve water supply reliability.

What is NWSC ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ฌ's engagement rate on X?
NWSC ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ฌ (@nwscug) has an engagement rate of 0.009%, based on the median interactions across 9 original posts from the last 30 days against 169,654 followers. Replies, reposts and quote-posts of other people are excluded from that sample.
Is that a good engagement rate?
At 0.009%, NWSC ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ฌ sits above the 10th percentile of the 208,041 accounts in this comparison. Those comparison accounts are all large ones, because our scanning cadence is weighted towards big accounts, so this is a ranking among peers of similar scale rather than a ranking across X.
Does @nwscug have real engagement?
Its engagement rate beats 22% of the tracked X accounts closest to it in follower count (20,444 accounts), which puts it in the bottom quarter for its size group. Ranking inside a size band matters because engagement rate falls as accounts grow, so a raw rate would mostly re-measure the follower count. It is a starting point for a look at follower quality, not a verdict on it.
When does @nwscug post?
Most posts go out around 09:00 UTC, and Sunday is its busiest day, at roughly 2.13 posts per day across the measured window.
