notch engagement report
@notch - 3.2M followers on X
Measured over 12 original posts from a 30-day window, last computed on September 1, 2026.
Engagement
A typical post picks up 819 interactions against 3.2M followers, an engagement rate of 0.025%. Measured over 12 original posts, its engagement rate beats 62% of 3,739 tracked accounts of a similar size, which puts it in the middle of its size range rather than at either end. Posts are seen about 126K times each, and 0.648% of those impressions turn into an interaction. That is about 3.89% of the follower count, which is the gap between an audience on paper and an audience in a timeline. Posting runs at about 0.47 posts a day over the last 30 days, though only 30% of days saw any activity at all. Most posts go out around 13:00 UTC, and Monday is the busiest day of the week. Of the 12 posts sampled, 17% carry an image or video and 8% are part of a thread. The account's strongest tracked post pulled 78K interactions, about 95x its own typical post.

Compared with accounts its own size
notch's engagement rate beats 62% of the tracked X accounts closest to it in follower count (3,739 accounts, accounts of similar size (decile 10 of 10)). A percentile is spread evenly by construction, so 50 really is the middle of that group and 90 really is its top tenth.
On engagement per impression rather than per follower it beats 45% of the same group. When those two numbers disagree, the gap is about how far its posts travel rather than how people react to them.
Where this sits in the catalog
At 0.025%, notch sits above the 25th percentile of the 36,261 accounts in this comparison. That places it in the below the median band, which runs 0.012% to 0.08%.

Posting timing
This account posts most often around 13:00 UTC, and Monday is its busiest day of the week. The bars below are the catalog-wide pattern, with this account's own busiest slot marked. They do not show how this account performs at each hour: we keep one aggregate per account, not one per hour, so that measurement does not exist in our data.

Sandy's an idiot. Piracy is actually good. Not joking. Look up old quotes of mine if you want proof I've always had this opinion.

DLSS fundamentally makes no sense. Because the graphics card is too slow to run the game at reasonable speeds, you use THE SAME HARDWARE to run a neural network to generate frames in between the existing ones.

I've been avoiding doing this joke because it felt a bit too political, but I'm starting to realize that's exactly what they/them want.

Jakob, who I founded Mojang with, got his twitter account hacked, and "he"'s posting stuff in defense of AI programming. This is further evidence that the AI programming hype is being falsely inflated by people who desperately want to change the narrative.

Oh god, is this how it starts? I'm already coming up with use cases, such as converting all my typescript into javascript. Sure, claude, let's see what you got! Can I still make fun of vibe coders if I become one?

I just might give vibe coding a shot. Not because I don't like to do programming, but because I've been having a lot of trouble hiring talented programmers, and I'll probably feel less bad about firing a chat bot. I'm thinking it could make the dull tools I'd need to make myself to make this darn game. Like a map editor, or a node graph visualizer. Bonus points if they can be used to bounce esoteric ideas at. Like what the canonical simplest trinary logic gate should be. What options should I look into? Oh and if anyone tips on restaurants that serve crow, that could come in handy.

- What is notch's engagement rate on X?
- notch (@notch) has an engagement rate of 0.025%, based on the median interactions across 12 original posts from the last 30 days against 3,247,177 followers. Replies, reposts and quote-posts of other people are excluded from that sample.
- Is that a good engagement rate?
- At 0.025%, notch sits above the 25th percentile of the 36,261 accounts in this comparison. Those comparison accounts are all large ones, because our scanning cadence is weighted towards big accounts, so this is a ranking among peers of similar scale rather than a ranking across X.
- Does @notch have real engagement?
- Its engagement rate beats 62% of the tracked X accounts closest to it in follower count (3,739 accounts), which puts it in the middle of its size range group. Ranking inside a size band matters because engagement rate falls as accounts grow, so a raw rate would mostly re-measure the follower count. It is a starting point for a look at follower quality, not a verdict on it.
- When does @notch post?
- Most posts go out around 13:00 UTC, and Monday is its busiest day, at roughly 0.47 posts per day across the measured window.
