A typical post picks up 298 interactions against 2.7M followers, an engagement rate of 0.011%. Measured over 96 original posts, its engagement rate beats 47% of 3,791 tracked accounts of a similar size, which puts it in the middle of its size range rather than at either end. Posts are seen about 23K times each, and 1.28% of those impressions turn into an interaction. That is about 0.865% of the follower count, which is the gap between an audience on paper and an audience in a timeline. Posting runs at about 4.7 posts a day over the last 30 days, with activity on roughly 77% of days. Most posts go out around 14:00 UTC, and Thursday is the busiest day of the week. Of the 96 posts sampled, 32% carry an image or video and 78% link out. The account's strongest tracked post pulled 28K interactions, about 95x its own typical post.

Compared with accounts its own size

Newt Gingrich's engagement rate beats 47% of the tracked X accounts closest to it in follower count (3,791 accounts, accounts of similar size (decile 10 of 10)). A percentile is spread evenly by construction, so 50 really is the middle of that group and 90 really is its top tenth.

On engagement per impression rather than per follower it beats 63% of the same group. When those two numbers disagree, the gap is about how far its posts travel rather than how people react to them.

Where this sits in the catalog

At 0.011%, Newt Gingrich sits above the 10th percentile of the 36,759 accounts in this comparison. That places it in the bottom 25% band, which runs below 0.012%.

This account posts most often around 14:00 UTC, and Thursday is its busiest day of the week. The bars below are the catalog-wide pattern, with this account's own busiest slot marked. They do not show how this account performs at each hour: we keep one aggregate per account, not one per hour, so that measurement does not exist in our data.

Jon Ossoff owes Natalie Harp a personal apology for having smeared her. If a conservative Republican had attacked a liberal Democrat working professional woman the way Ossoff smeared Natalie Harp there would be cries to kick them off the ticket and reject this kind of misogynistic language diminishing and smearing someone who is simply doing their job. But then Ossoff routinely lies as the Jewish leaders in Atlanta pointed out recently and we should accept that he is a profoundly dishonest politician with no sense of honor.

There is something deeply sick about an American legal system which is setting the date for the trial of the terrorist leader of the 9/11 attacks 25 years- a quarter century-after the attack. Congress should profoundly overhaul a Justice system so out of touch with reality.

President Trump is already one of the most consequential presidents in American history. He has taken on the entire left, including its propaganda media, and he is clearly grinding them down and steadily making policy gains that would have been thought impossible a decade ago. https://t.co/3UEAGSGiga

Republicans have an opportunity to win a historic victory this fall, but only if we define what the election is about. The choice should be clear: big government socialism and weird values, or a Republican Party focused on creating a better future for every American. This must be a team election. Every Democratic candidate should have to answer for the party they will empower in Washington. If Republicans make the midterms a choice about America’s future, we can win big. https://t.co/ynqzuSVCMf

Democratic Senate candidate in Michigan Abdul El-Sayed was deliberately lying on Jesse Waters when he compared circumcision to castration. Waters was asking about passing a law to stop young boys from being castrated and El-Sayed, who like all good big government socialists has to be fanatically pro transgender, knew that he could not say he was willing to outlaw castration for young boys and he knew most Michiganders would oppose someone who thought it was ok to castrate young boys so he simply lied and drew a false analogy to hide his real beliefs. We are going to see a lot of this from leftwing candidates all across America this fall—when in doubt lie is their basic game plan.

The Republican Party should be the American Party, and that means building things in America again. President Trump’s plan to rebuild the U.S. Navy and our shipbuilding industrial base means more American shipyards, American workers, American supply chains, and a stronger American military. This is exactly the kind of positive, pro-America agenda Republicans should be campaigning on. https://t.co/tpD7n6UO9H

Republicans have an enormous opportunity in 2026, but we will not win by chasing every headline or reacting to every controversy. We have to understand where the American people are actually moving, make this election a choice about the future, and win the argument. That is what this "How to Win 2026" series is about. Younger Americans are being drawn to socialism because too many believe the economy is no longer working for them. When young people graduate into a world where housing is unaffordable and good, career-track jobs seem out of reach, we should not be surprised that they are looking for an alternative. But big government socialism is not the answer. History has shown us where that road leads. https://t.co/QFL77NH54O

Reading these numbers

A typical post picks up 298 interactions against 2.7M followers, an engagement rate of 0.011%. What is Newt Gingrich's engagement rate on X?
Newt Gingrich (@newtgingrich) has an engagement rate of 0.011%, based on the median interactions across 96 original posts from the last 30 days against 2,688,149 followers. Replies, reposts and quote-posts of other people are excluded from that sample.
Is that a good engagement rate?
At 0.011%, Newt Gingrich sits above the 10th percentile of the 36,759 accounts in this comparison. Those comparison accounts are all large ones, because our scanning cadence is weighted towards big accounts, so this is a ranking among peers of similar scale rather than a ranking across X.
Does @newtgingrich have real engagement?
Its engagement rate beats 47% of the tracked X accounts closest to it in follower count (3,791 accounts), which puts it in the middle of its size range group. Ranking inside a size band matters because engagement rate falls as accounts grow, so a raw rate would mostly re-measure the follower count. It is a starting point for a look at follower quality, not a verdict on it.
When does @newtgingrich post?
Most posts go out around 14:00 UTC, and Thursday is its busiest day, at roughly 4.7 posts per day across the measured window.
