🔷"Footpaths are exclusively for the safe and easy movement of pedestrians. Therefore, setting up shops and stalls, or creating obstacles in the path of pedestrians by keeping various types of materials on the footpaths will not be tolerated. Strict action against encroachers must continue," directed Municipal Commissioner Smt. Ashwini Bhide. 🔷The monthly review meeting of various departments of BMC held today at the Command and Control Centre in Worli, where Smt. Bhide gave these directives. 🔷In the first phase of the 'Pedestrian First' campaign, encroachments have been removed from 399 footpaths across 26 administrative wards of BMC in Mumbai. Through this action, roads spanning an impressive 500 kilometers have been made obstacle-free for pedestrians. So far, action has been taken to remove 2,803 encroachments and hawkers. 🔷Municipal Commissioner Smt. Bhide noted that this predominantly includes public places such as hospitals, schools, colleges and railway and bus stations. 🔷To prevent the defacement of the Mumbai metropolis and curb the practice of putting up unauthorized billboards in public places, the BMC has undertaken a comprehensive campaign. 🔷Sm. Bhide highlighted that Mayor of Mumbai Smt. Ritu Tawde has announced a special campaign - 'Shadu Bappa Ten Days - Flex-Free Mumbai 365 Days' and is personally stepping onto the streets to remove illegal flex banners, posters and stickers. 🔷Under the drive, 52,448 banners, flexes and posters have been removed from 1st January to 16th October 2026. 🔷Furthermore, in a special drive implemented over 9 days from 8th to 16th October 2026, 3,537 unauthorized advertising materials were confiscated from across Mumbai. Taking strict action, 4 FIRs have been registered and 333 written complaint letters have been submitted to police stations for legal action under the Maharashtra Prevention of Defacement of Property Act, 1995. "A strict stance should be taken against those violating rules by putting up unauthorized advertisements. The crackdown campaign against unauthorized billboards must continue," directed Mrs. Ashwini Bhide. 🔷During this meeting, a detailed review was conducted on issues including air pollution, Air Quality Index (AQI), effective implementation of the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) drafted to curb air pollution and the implementation of the e-office system from 1st December 2026. 🔷Additional Municipal Commissioner (Western Suburbs) Dr. Vipin Sharma, Additional Municipal Commissioner (Projects) Shri. Abhijit Bangar, Additional Municipal Commissioner (Eastern Suburbs) Dr. Avinash Dhakne, Joint Municipal Commissioner (Vigilance) Dr. M. Devender Singh and Deputy Commissioner (Municipal Commissioner's Office) Shri. 🔷बृहन्मुंबई महानगरपालिकेने हाती घेतलेल्या ‘पादचारी प्रथम’ (Pedestrian First) अभियानाच्या पहिल्या टप्प्यात २०० पदपथांपैकी १३४ पदपथांवरील अतिक्रमण हटविण्यात आले आहे. या कारवाईत १९७ किलोमीटर अंतर इतके पदपथ अडथळामुक्त करण्यात आले आहेत. 🔷महानगरपालिका आयुक्त श्रीमती अश्विनी भिडे यांनी 'पादचारी प्रथम' या अभियानाच्या काटेकोर अंमलबजावणीचे निर्देश प्रशासनाल दिले आहेत. प्रत्येक प्रशासकीय विभागाचा (वॉर्ड ऑफीस) आणि त्या विभागातील विविध खात्यांकडून सुरू असलेल्या कारवाईचा आढावा देखील आयुक्त श्रीमती भिडे यांच्याकडून दैनंदिन स्वरूपात घेण्यात येत आहे. 🔷या अभियान अंतर्गत भांडुप रेल्वे स्थानक (पश्चिम) परिसरातील पदपथांवर गत दोन दिवसांत ९४ अनधिकृत स्टॉल्सवर कारवाई करण्यात आली आहे. भांडुप परिसरात पहिल्या टप्प्यात १४ पदपथांवरील जवळपास ११ पदपथांवरील अतिक्रमण काढण्यात सुरुवात करण्यात आली आहे. या कारवाईमुळे भांडुप रेल्वे स्थानक परिसरातून लाल बहादूर शास्त्री मार्गाच्या दिशेने नागरिकांना आता अडथळामुक्त पदपथ मिळणार आहे. या कारवाईसाठी ५ जेसीबी, १० डंपर, ५० हून अधिक अधिकारी-कर्मचारी, १०० कामगार तसेच ७० हून अधिक पोलीस कर्मचारी तैनात करण्यात आले. 🔷अतिरिक्त महानगरपालिका आयुक्त (पूर्व उपनगरे) डॉ. अविनाश ढाकणे यांच्या मार्गदर्शनात , उप आयुक्त (परिमंडळ ६) श्री. संतोषकुमार धोंडे, सहायक आयुक्त (एस विभाग) श्रीमती समरीन सय्यद यांनी ही कारवाई करण्यात आली आहे. #MyBMCUpdates @CMOMaharashtra @mieknathshinde @SunetraA_Pawar @ShelarAshish @MPLodha @TawdeRitu @misanjayghadi

🔹सुगम्य पदपथ (Accessible Footpath) धोरणांतर्गत बृहन्मुंबई क्षेत्रात ‘पादचारी प्रथम’ (Pedestrian First) अभियान राबविण्यात येत आहे. तसेच, कचरा साचण्याची संवेदनशील ठिकाणे (Garbage Vulnerable Point) निर्मूलनाची मोहीम हाती घेण्यात आली आहे. या अनुषंगाने पूर्व उपनगरातील एन, एस व टी या विभागात (Ward) विविध ठिकाणी सुरू असलेल्या कार्यवाहीची महानगरपालिका आयुक्त श्रीमती अश्विनी भिडे यांनी आज सकाळी प्रत्यक्ष भेट देऊन पाहणी केली. सुमारे तीन तासाहून अधिक काळ चाललेल्या या पाहणी दौऱ्यात श्रीमती भिडे यांनी संबंधितांना विविध निर्देश दिले. 🔹‘टी’ विभागातील एकूण मार्गांपैकी १३ मार्ग ‘पादचारी प्रथम’ अभियानांतर्गत हाती घेण्यात आले आहेत. या १३ मार्गांवरील पदपथ अतिक्रमणमुक्त करण्यात येत आहेत. मुलुंड पश्चिम परिसरातील सरदार वल्लभभाई पटेल मार्गावरून दररोज मोठ्या प्रमाणात नोकरदार वर्ग तसेच, महाविद्यालयीन विद्यार्थ्यांची मोठ्या प्रमाणात ये-जा असते. त्यामुळे या मार्गावरील अतिक्रमणे हटविण्याकामी प्राधान्य देण्यात आले आहे. महानगरपालिका आयुक्त श्रीमती अश्विनी भिडे यांनी सरदार वल्लभभाई पटेल मार्गावरील पदपथांची पाहणी केली. 🔹भांडुप रेल्वे स्थानक (पश्चिम) येथे 'बेस्ट' बसेसच्या नियमित वाहतुकीसाठी आणि रस्ते वाहतूकीच्या अनुषंगाने 'अर्बन डिझायनर' च्या माध्यमातून वाहतूक आराखडा तयार करावा, अशा सूचना श्रीमती अश्विनी भिडे यांनी दिल्या.कांजूरमार्ग रेल्वे स्थानक (पश्चिम) परिसरातील १३ गाळे निष्कासन करून हा परिसर पादचाऱ्यांसाठी उपलब्ध करून देण्यात यावा, असे निर्देश श्रीमती भिडे यांनी दिले. या गाळेधारकांना पर्यायी जागा देऊन त्यांचे पुनर्वसन करावे, तसेच पदपथ मोकळा करण्यात यावा, अशाही सूचना त्यांनी दिल्या. 🔹'एन' विभागातील पंतनगर (घाटकोपर) येथील शिवाजी टेक्निकल शाळा परिसरातील पदपथांची आयुक्त श्रीमती अश्विनी भिडे यांनी पाहणी केली. या परिसरातील पाच ठिकाणी पदपथांवरील अतिक्रमण निष्कासन करण्याची कार्यवाही नियोजित करण्यात आली आहे.त्याचा आढावा श्रीमती भिडे यांनी घेतला. 🔹पदपथांवरील अनधिकृत फेरीवाले, अतिक्रमणे व इतर सर्व प्रकारचे अडथळे तत्काळ हटवून पदपथ पूर्णपणे अडथळामुक्त करावेत. तसेच, पदपथांची सुधारणा, सुशोभीकरण आणि सुरक्षिततेच्या दृष्टीने आवश्यक उपाययोजना तातडीने राबवाव्यात, असे सक्त निर्देश महानगरपालिका आयुक्त श्रीमती अश्विनी भिडे यांनी दिले. 🔹कचऱ्याच्या संवेदनशील ठिकाणांचे निर्मूलन करण्याच्या उद्देशाने मुलुंड पश्चिम येथील पंडित जवाहरलाल नेहरू मार्ग आणि भांडुप येथील बदवाईक रूग्णालय येथे नियमितपणे स्वच्छता करण्याचे निर्देश आयुक्त श्रीमती अश्विनी भिडे यांनी दिले. कचरा संकलनासाठी नियुक्त केलेल्या संस्थांनी स्थानिक परिसरात घरोघरी नियमितपणे कचरा संकलन करावा. तसेच स्थानिक रहिवाश्यांनी कचरा नियमितपणे योग्य ठिकाणी टाकून प्रशासनाला सहकार्य करावे, असे आवाहन आयुक्तश्रीमती भिडे यांनी केले. रस्त्यावरील कचरा टाकण्याच्या ठिकानांचे निर्मूलन करण्याच्या उद्देशाने नियमितपणे दंड वसूल करणे, सीसीटीव्ही कॅमेऱ्याच्या माध्यमातून निगराणी करणे, कचरा संकलन वाहनांद्वारे कचरा संकलन करणे आदी गोष्टी नियमितपणे करण्याच्या सूचना श्रीमती भिडे यांनी दिल्या. 🔹उपायुक्त (आयुक्त कार्यालय) श्री. प्रशांत गायकवाड,उपायुक्त (घनकचरा व्यवस्थापन) श्री. किरण दिघावकर,उपायुक्त (परिमंडळ- ६) श्री. संतोषकुमार धोंडे, सहायक आयुक्त ( टी विभाग) श्रीमती योगिता कोल्हे, सहायक आयुक्त (एस विभाग) श्रीमती समरीन सय्यद, सहायक आयुक्त (एन विभाग) श्री. जयदीप मोरे आदी उपस्थित होते. #PedestrianFirst #MyBMCUpdates @CMOMaharashtra @mieknathshinde @SunetraA_Pawar @ShelarAshish @MPLodha @TawdeRitu @misanjayghadi @AshwiniBhide
