A typical post picks up 23 interactions against 168K followers, an engagement rate of 0.014%. Measured over 30 original posts, its engagement rate beats 26% of 14,930 tracked accounts of a similar size, which puts it in the middle of its size range rather than at either end. Posts are seen about 5.2K times each, and 0.443% of those impressions turn into an interaction. That is about 3.09% of the follower count, which is the gap between an audience on paper and an audience in a timeline. Posting runs at about 1.2 post a day over the last 30 days, with activity on almost every day in the window. Most posts go out around 16:00 UTC, and Monday is the busiest day of the week. Of the 30 posts sampled, 47% carry an image or video and 97% link out. The account's strongest tracked post pulled 82 interactions, about 3.6x its own typical post.

Compared with accounts its own size

Mutual UFO Network's engagement rate beats 26% of the tracked X accounts closest to it in follower count (14,930 accounts, accounts of similar size (decile 8 of 10)). A percentile is spread evenly by construction, so 50 really is the middle of that group and 90 really is its top tenth.

On engagement per impression rather than per follower it beats 25% of the same group. When those two numbers disagree, the gap is about how far its posts travel rather than how people react to them.

Where this sits in the catalog

At 0.014%, Mutual UFO Network sits above the 10th percentile of the 151,559 accounts in this comparison. That places it in the bottom 25% band, which runs below 0.021%.

Formats this account uses

Its own posting mix on the left, and what each of those formats does across every account we track on the right. Only formats where the effect clears our publish test appear here, so an empty row is a format we could not measure rather than one that does nothing.

  • 47% of this account's sampled posts carry an image or video. Across the catalog, posts with an image or video run 111% above the same accounts' other posts.
  • 97% of its posts carry a link off X. Across the catalog, posts with an outbound link run 41% below the same accounts' other posts, so a large share of this account's output sits in the weakest bucket we measure.
  • Its average post runs 610 characters, which falls in the over 280 characters band. Across the catalog, posts over 280 characters run 15% above the same accounts' other posts.

These are catalog-wide differences applied to this account's own posting mix, not a measurement of how each format performs for this account specifically. We keep one median per account, not one per format per account, so the second thing is not something this data can tell you.

DEPARTMENT OF WAR UFO DISCLOSURE NDA Waiver for whistleblowers PURSUE Immediate Release Sept. 14, 2026 https://t.co/RlIptMCKd2 In direct alignment with President Trump's mandate for comprehensive transparency on Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena (UAP), the Department of War (DOW) today announced the issuance of a targeted legal waiver. This waiver establishes an authorized, legally protected disclosure mechanism for current and former personnel to provide UAP-related National Defense Information (NDI) to designated representatives of the PURSUE effort. Under this directive, all current and former DOW service members, civilian personnel, and contractors holding or previously granted access to UAP-related National Defense Information (NDI) are authorized to disclose protected information directly to official PURSUE representatives. The waiver supersedes civil and administrative enforcement provisions contained within Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs) and Special Access Program Indoctrination Agreements (SAPIAs) previously executed within the United States, strictly for communications directed to the PURSUE team. This targeted legal relief establishes an authorized pipeline for systematic review, security evaluation, and potential declassification of historical and ongoing UAP data in furtherance of national mission objectives. Historically, individuals with direct knowledge of UAP-related programs cited concerns regarding potential legal liability, loss of clearances, or administrative prosecution stemming from standard NDAs and SAP indoctrination terms. This waiver removes those barriers by explicitly authorizing covered disclosures to PURSUE representatives without triggering breach-of-agreement penalties or standard NDA violations.

For years, MUFON (the Mutual UFO Network) has compiled detailed intelligence briefings on UFO/UAP activity and shared them with select members of Congress, including individuals serving on House and Senate intelligence committees. This report offers a rare look at the type of information being delivered directly to lawmakers as the conversation around UAPs continues to evolve. Mutual UFO Network Case of The Week – September 11, 2026 By Bob Spearing MUFON’s Project Aquarius Library contains over 2 Terabytes of Historical Data including the Norwegian UFO Database donated to us by the Archives for the Unexplained in Sweden. This report, from their database, translated by MUFON, and previously never available to the North American UFO audience, is numbered UFO nr. 4 2001 and it occurred exactly on October 30, 1943 near Tromsdalen, Norway. It was evening and the event lasted 30 minutes. The Project Aquarius Digital Library is available via a 50 dollar per year library card that can be purchased at https://t.co/FZEq9mPjv9 The account: Olaf Østli (93 y/o in 2001) sent us about a strange experience he had in Tromsdalen in Troms sometime during the Second World War. The incident came to the attention of the Reporting Center in autumn 2001, and although the story is many years old, it is so special that we include it in Rapportnytt. Olaf Østli lived in Tromsdalen from the autumn of 1943 to the autumn of 1944. At the family home where he was staying, a 6-year-old boy fell ill. (Østli remembers the date well, 30 October 1943). In the afternoon, a doctor arrived from Tromsø, and he wrote out a prescription for medication that the boy had to have that evening. Østli, who was a guest in the house, offered to collect the medicines from the pharmacy in Tromsø. But the family had no bicycle, and Østli asked if he could ride with the doctor. But the doctor had several patients to visit, and was not back in Tromsø until late in the evening. He specified once again that the boy had to have the medicine immediately! Then there was only one thing to do; to go to Tromsø (on foot to the ferry and back). It was 14 kilometers from the family's home to the ferry dock in Tromsdalen. The weather was good, clear stars with no moon, and the temperature was approx. 3 degrees Celsius. It was easy to walk, and Østli was in good shape both physically and mentally. There were no cars or other traffic on the road. The walk went well, and he arrived at the ferry dock in a few hours. The ferry trip across the strait between Tromsdalen and Tromsø took only a few minutes. Once in Tromsø, he collected the medicines from the pharmacy and took the ferry back. It could have been somewhere between 19:00 and 20:00 when he set off on the 14 kilometers back to his family. After Østli had walked nearly 4 kilometers something strange happened. In front of him on the road suddenly stood a "luminous wall". The wall was approx. 2 meters high, stretched out on both sides of the roadway, and shone in all the colors of the rainbow. The area above the "wall" had a grey-green color, Østli stopped abruptly, and wondered what he was going to do. But he had the medicine for the boy in his pocket, and they had to have it that night. He started walking again, and the strange thing was that the wall of light began to move. It moved in front of him at the same speed that Østli was walking. The distance to the light wall was approx. 6 meters. He never got any closer. On the right side of the road were several small houses. All the houses were illuminated by the light from the strange light wall, yes it was as bright as on a sunny day. Østli could actually see the blackout curtains in the windows of the houses. The wall of light followed him for approx. 2 kilometers further up the road. Then there was a faint clap, as if someone had clapped their hands together, and the wall of light went out. It was as dark as a sack. Østli had to take a short break to regain his night vision before continuing home to the family he was staying with. He told the people in the house, mother, two sons, and a daughter (all adults) what he had experienced on the way home. The housewife looked at Østli and slowly shook her head, one of the sons burst out laughing while the other son and daughter just stared and didn't say a word. If no one believed what Østli had experienced, fortunately the sick boy recovered.

What is Mutual UFO Network's engagement rate on X?
Mutual UFO Network (@mufon) has an engagement rate of 0.014%, based on the median interactions across 30 original posts from the last 30 days against 167,706 followers. Replies, reposts and quote-posts of other people are excluded from that sample.
Is that a good engagement rate?
At 0.014%, Mutual UFO Network sits above the 10th percentile of the 151,559 accounts in this comparison. Those comparison accounts are all large ones, because our scanning cadence is weighted towards big accounts, so this is a ranking among peers of similar scale rather than a ranking across X.
Does @mufon have real engagement?
Its engagement rate beats 26% of the tracked X accounts closest to it in follower count (14,930 accounts), which puts it in the middle of its size range group. Ranking inside a size band matters because engagement rate falls as accounts grow, so a raw rate would mostly re-measure the follower count. It is a starting point for a look at follower quality, not a verdict on it.
When does @mufon post?
Most posts go out around 16:00 UTC, and Monday is its busiest day, at roughly 1.2 posts per day across the measured window.
