A typical post picks up 3 interactions against 1.5M followers, an engagement rate of 0%. Measured over 364 original posts, its engagement rate beats 6% of 3,739 tracked accounts of a similar size. That is a reason to look at how the audience behaves - reply depth, saves, whether the followers are recent - rather than a conclusion about it on its own. Posts are seen about 6.9K times each, and 0.043% of those impressions turn into an interaction. That is about 0.455% of the follower count, which is the gap between an audience on paper and an audience in a timeline. Posting runs at about 12.9 posts a day over the last 30 days, though only 30% of days saw any activity at all. Most posts go out around 10:00 UTC, and Monday is the busiest day of the week. Of the 364 posts sampled, 23% carry an image or video and 89% link out. The account's strongest tracked post pulled 152 interactions, about 51x its own typical post. Recurring topics include #marketswithmc, #business, #mcpersonalfinance.

Compared with accounts its own size

Moneycontrol's engagement rate beats 6% of the tracked X accounts closest to it in follower count (3,739 accounts, accounts of similar size (decile 10 of 10)). A percentile is spread evenly by construction, so 50 really is the middle of that group and 90 really is its top tenth.

On engagement per impression rather than per follower it beats 2% of the same group. When those two numbers disagree, the gap is about how far its posts travel rather than how people react to them.

Where this sits in the catalog

At under 0.001%, Moneycontrol sits below the 10th percentile of the 36,261 accounts in this comparison. That places it in the bottom 25% band, which runs below 0.012%.

#WATCH | Mumbai: Maharashtra FDA Commissioner Tukaram Munde has defended the department’s action against Guru Nanak Dairy & Sweets, saying the case involved food poisoning, those who consumed the products were hospitalised and the food sample was reported as “unsafe.” Munde said the FDA was surprised by the Bombay High Court’s order and would examine the written order before deciding on its legal course. “We stand by what we say,” he said, adding that the department would pursue the matter through available legal options. The remarks come after the Bombay High Court directed the Maharashtra FDA to pay ₹5 lakh compensation to the Pune-based sweets outlet and quashed the suspension of its licence. The court noted that the establishment had subsequently achieved 98% compliance during a reinspection, with 35 of 36 food-safety parameters met. The case comes amid a wider food-safety enforcement drive by the Maharashtra FDA under Munde, who took charge as commissioner in May. FDA teams have been conducting inspections and raids across the state targeting restaurants, eateries, dairies, food manufacturers, retailers and other food businesses, with licences suspended or products seized where serious violations were found. The crackdown has also extended to food advertising and school food safety, with the FDA taking action on surrogate advertising and issuing directions concerning the sale of certain unhealthy food products in schools. At the same time, the Bombay High Court has questioned the FDA’s approach in several cases involving licence suspensions, including whether establishments should be shut immediately when deficiencies have subsequently been rectified. The Guru Nanak Sweets case now puts the FDA’s increasingly aggressive food-safety enforcement under renewed scrutiny, with Munde maintaining that the department’s action was justified and legally defensible. #TukaramMunde #MaharashtraFDA #FoodSafety #FoodPoisoning #GuruNanakSweets #Maharashtra #Mumbai #Pune #Moneycontrol

₹32 crore could have made the difference between closure and survival for 100–125 Marathi-medium schools, according to Supreme Court Justice Prasanna B Varale. Speaking at an event in Maharashtra’s Dhule district, Justice Varale flagged the state’s shrinking education budget and questioned whether a fraction of spending on large public projects could have been redirected towards basic school infrastructure. He pointed to ₹32,000–34,000 crore allocated for the Nashik-Trimbakeshwar Simhastha Kumbh Mela, saying just 0.1% around ₹32 crore could have kept 100–125 Marathi-medium schools from shutting down. He also cited ₹11,000 crore allocated for a corridor project.

What is Moneycontrol's engagement rate on X?
Moneycontrol (@moneycontrolcom) has an engagement rate of 0%, based on the median interactions across 364 original posts from the last 30 days against 1,517,186 followers. Replies, reposts and quote-posts of other people are excluded from that sample.
Is that a good engagement rate?
At under 0.001%, Moneycontrol sits below the 10th percentile of the 36,261 accounts in this comparison. Those comparison accounts are all large ones, because our scanning cadence is weighted towards big accounts, so this is a ranking among peers of similar scale rather than a ranking across X.
Does @moneycontrolcom have real engagement?
Its engagement rate beats 6% of the tracked X accounts closest to it in follower count (3,739 accounts), which puts it in the bottom 10% for its size group. Ranking inside a size band matters because engagement rate falls as accounts grow, so a raw rate would mostly re-measure the follower count. It is a starting point for a look at follower quality, not a verdict on it.
When does @moneycontrolcom post?
Most posts go out around 10:00 UTC, and Monday is its busiest day, at roughly 12.93 posts per day across the measured window.
