A typical post picks up 32 interactions against 154K followers, an engagement rate of 0.02%. Measured over 22 original posts, its engagement rate beats 28% of 20,444 tracked accounts of a similar size, which puts it in the middle of its size range rather than at either end. Posts are seen about 1.6K times each, and 1.99% of those impressions turn into an interaction. That is about 1.03% of the follower count, which is the gap between an audience on paper and an audience in a timeline. Posting runs at about 1.1 post a day over the last 30 days, with activity on roughly 67% of days. Most posts go out around 15:00 UTC, and Wednesday is the busiest day of the week. Of the 22 posts sampled, 68% carry an image or video and 45% link out. The account's strongest tracked post pulled 92 interactions, about 2.9x its own typical post. Recurring topics include #unga81, #24horas, #africanunionday.

Compared with accounts its own size

María Fernanda Espinosa's engagement rate beats 28% of the tracked X accounts closest to it in follower count (20,444 accounts, accounts of similar size (decile 8 of 10)). A percentile is spread evenly by construction, so 50 really is the middle of that group and 90 really is its top tenth.

On engagement per impression rather than per follower it beats 61% of the same group. When those two numbers disagree, the gap is about how far its posts travel rather than how people react to them.

Where this sits in the catalog

At 0.02%, María Fernanda Espinosa sits above the 10th percentile of the 204,956 accounts in this comparison. That places it in the bottom 25% band, which runs below 0.024%.

Formats this account uses

Its own posting mix on the left, and what each of those formats does across every account we track on the right. Only formats where the effect clears our publish test appear here, so an empty row is a format we could not measure rather than one that does nothing.

  • 68% of this account's sampled posts carry an image or video. Across the catalog, posts with an image or video run 111% above the same accounts' other posts.
  • 45% of its posts carry a link off X. Across the catalog, posts with an outbound link run 41% below the same accounts' other posts, so a large share of this account's output sits in the weakest bucket we measure.
  • Its average post runs 518 characters, which falls in the over 280 characters band. Across the catalog, posts over 280 characters run 15% above the same accounts' other posts.

These are catalog-wide differences applied to this account's own posting mix, not a measurement of how each format performs for this account specifically. We keep one median per account, not one per format per account, so the second thing is not something this data can tell you.

From serving as Minister of Defense to presiding over the UN General Assembly, I have learned what it means to take on difficult responsibilities. Renewed leadership must rebuild bridges, restore trust, and strengthen the United Nations as the shared space where Member States listen, engage in dialogue, and act collectively to prevent conflict and sustain peace.

The United Nations needs a Secretary-General who can unite Member States, lead reform with credibility, and restore confidence in the Organization. That was the commitment I shared during the UN Town Hall. I am ready to take that responsibility, guided by the UN Charter and committed to serving all Member States

Yesterday, I began my visit to Africa at the African Union Commission, paying tribute to the strength of African unity and the African Union’s central role in shaping the continent’s future and in supporting multilateral systems. We are all heirs to the legacy of the peoples of Africa; their struggles for freedom, dignity, equality, and self-determination. Nelson Mandela gave that legacy a universal voice. Honoring it today means ensuring that Africa’s voice, leadership, and rightful representation shape global decisions. Central to this is deepening the UN–African Union partnership, while securing adequate, predictable, and sustainable financing for African Union-led peace support operations. We must also work together to advance Agenda 2063, expand access to development and climate finance, and create better opportunities, especially for women and young people. Peace and security, sustainable development, and human rights are inseparable. Together, they are the foundations of the Africa We Want, and of a stronger United Nations. @_AfricanUnion

Yesterday in Monrovia, I paid tribute to the remarkable legacy of Angie Elisabeth Brooks. In 1969, at the age of 41, she was elected President of the United Nations General Assembly, becoming the first African woman and, at the time, the second-youngest person to hold that office. To this day, she remains the only African woman to have presided over the General Assembly. I visited two places that embody the breadth of her legacy: the Angie Brooks International Center for Women’s Empowerment, Leadership Development, International Peace and Security (ABIC) and the University of Liberia. Brooks was Liberia’s first woman lawyer and first woman Assistant Attorney General, and later the first woman to serve as an Associate Justice of the country’s Supreme Court. Today, ABIC carries her vision forward by advancing women’s leadership and participation in peacebuilding. I was deeply honored to be received by ABIC’s senior leadership: the Chair of the Board, Hon. Olubanke King-Akerele, and its Executive Director, Cllr. Dr. Yvette Chesson-Gibson — two remarkable advocates for women’s empowerment and peacebuilding. Hon. King-Akerele served as Liberia’s Minister of Foreign Affairs and Minister of Commerce and Industry. Cllr. Chesson-Gibson initiated the Women’s Situation Room, an award-winning early-warning and rapid-response mechanism that has helped prevent and mitigate electoral violence in Liberia and across several African countries. It is especially meaningful that two such powerful and inspiring women are leading an institution dedicated to carrying forward Angie Brooks’s legacy. I am grateful to the Government of Liberia for making this tribute possible, and to the women and men who have preserved and carried forward Angie Brooks’s extraordinary legacy. @Mofa_Liberia

Since Saturday, I have been immersed in an intense agenda around #UNGA81. This afternoon, I met @Big_O_cean and, amid the intensity of these days, meeting them brought me joy and inspiration. Their talent, warmth and commitment are exceptional. As the world’s first K-pop group whose members have hearing loss, Big Ocean is pioneering a new path, using music, sign language and technology to break barriers and advance accessibility and inclusion. They are a powerful reminder that young people are not only the future; they are already transforming our present. The UN must renew itself with their energy, courage and creativity, placing young people—and the values of accessibility and inclusion—at the heart of everything it does.

What is María Fernanda Espinosa's engagement rate on X?
María Fernanda Espinosa (@mfespinosaEC) has an engagement rate of 0.02%, based on the median interactions across 22 original posts from the last 30 days against 154,165 followers. Replies, reposts and quote-posts of other people are excluded from that sample.
Is that a good engagement rate?
At 0.02%, María Fernanda Espinosa sits above the 10th percentile of the 204,956 accounts in this comparison. Those comparison accounts are all large ones, because our scanning cadence is weighted towards big accounts, so this is a ranking among peers of similar scale rather than a ranking across X.
Does @mfespinosaEC have real engagement?
Its engagement rate beats 28% of the tracked X accounts closest to it in follower count (20,444 accounts), which puts it in the middle of its size range group. Ranking inside a size band matters because engagement rate falls as accounts grow, so a raw rate would mostly re-measure the follower count. It is a starting point for a look at follower quality, not a verdict on it.
When does @mfespinosaEC post?
Most posts go out around 15:00 UTC, and Wednesday is its busiest day, at roughly 1.07 posts per day across the measured window.
