A typical post picks up 836 interactions against 223K followers, an engagement rate of 0.374%. Measured over 43 original posts, its engagement rate beats 81% of 20,444 tracked accounts of a similar size. Comparing inside a size band matters here: engagement rate falls as accounts grow, so a raw rate would mostly just re-measure the follower count. Posts are seen about 7.1K times each, and 11.7% of those impressions turn into an interaction. That is about 3.20% of the follower count, which is the gap between an audience on paper and an audience in a timeline. Posting runs at about 1.7 posts a day over the last 30 days, with activity on roughly 77% of days. Most posts go out around 17:00 UTC, and Wednesday is the busiest day of the week. Of the 43 posts sampled, 88% carry an image or video and 23% link out. The account's strongest tracked post pulled 7.2K interactions, about 8.6x its own typical post.

Compared with accounts its own size

Medea Benjamin's engagement rate beats 81% of the tracked X accounts closest to it in follower count (20,444 accounts, accounts of similar size (decile 9 of 10)). A percentile is spread evenly by construction, so 50 really is the middle of that group and 90 really is its top tenth.

On engagement per impression rather than per follower it beats 98% of the same group. When those two numbers disagree, the gap is about how far its posts travel rather than how people react to them.

Where this sits in the catalog

At 0.374%, Medea Benjamin sits above the 50th percentile of the 205,374 accounts in this comparison. That places it in the above the median band, which runs 0.143% to 0.678%.

They do not show how this account performs at each hour: we keep one aggregate per account, not one per hour, so that measurement does not exist in our data.

Formats this account uses

Its own posting mix on the left, and what each of those formats does across every account we track on the right. Only formats where the effect clears our publish test appear here, so an empty row is a format we could not measure rather than one that does nothing.

  • 23% of its posts carry a link off X. Across the catalog, posts with an outbound link run 41% below the same accounts' other posts.
  • Its average post runs 369 characters, which falls in the over 280 characters band. Across the catalog, posts over 280 characters run 15% above the same accounts' other posts.

These are catalog-wide differences applied to this account's own posting mix, not a measurement of how each format performs for this account specifically. We keep one median per account, not one per format per account, so the second thing is not something this data can tell you.

“How did the war with Iraq turn out?” This video is from 2018, but watch it again in 2026. Eight years ago, CODEPINK’s Medea Benjamin confronted Trump’s Iran envoy Brian Hook over a policy of sanctions, threats and escalation toward Iran. Today, after months of war with Iran, the U.S. is once again threatening further escalation. And this week, U.S. troops completed their withdrawal from Iraq after more than two decades of war and occupation. How many wars will it take before Washington learns that bombs, sanctions and regime-change policies do not bring peace? The year was 2018. The warning could have been delivered today. NO MORE WAR. PEACE WITH IRAN.

Whole Foods sells stolen Dead Sea salts labeled "Made in Israel." Israel's theft of Palestine's natural resources is accelerating the ecological collapse of the Dead Sea, and these products are funding it. Today, we moved the Dead Sea salts at our local store to tell Whole Foods: get these products off your shelves!

Ms. Rachel, we have some little voices we’d LOVE for you to hear! You’ve shown the world what it looks like to use your platform to stand up for children. Now we’re asking you to turn your attention just 90 miles from the U.S. To the children of Cuba, who are suffering under the devastating U.S. blockade. Let’s make sure she sees this! TAG @msrachelforlittles in the comments. Once, twice, a hundred times! And if you haven’t signed the petition yet, add your name and help us get Ms. Rachel’s attention! 👉 https://t.co/vmeotM4T3L We love you Ms. Rachel!

Yesterday we went to Whole Foods to ask why they’re selling Israeli Dead Sea products. Today, we took the complaint directly to the company. We were pleasantly surprised that someone actually answers the phone and takes down the complaint. So please call! Tell them the names of the products (Dead Sea salts). If they ask for UPC number, the Whole Foods product is 9948245392 and the Dead Sea warehouse brand is 5603500101. Tell them that you have 2 complaints: 1. They are made with resources from the Dead Sea that belong to the Palestinians, but Israel denies the Palestinians access, and 2. This intensive mineral extraction is contributing to the ecological destruction of the Dead Sea. Whole Foods told us they’re forwarding our concerns to their global purchasing team. Keep the pressure on. Corporations should not profit from occupation, exploitation, and environmental destruction. Read Medea Benjamin’s article at https://t.co/hZuD7UWXOQ to learn more.

Imagine celebrating your daughter’s wedding and suddenly U.S. missiles strike. This week, a U.S. attack hit a wedding party in Iran, killing four people, including a young child and a 16-year-old, and wounding more than 60. The U.S. military says it doesn’t target civilians. But civilians are being killed. First an elementary school. Now a wedding. These are not targets. These are families. These are children. These are people whose lives are being destroyed by a war they did not choose. Why is the U.S. killing people in Iran? Why is this war still going on? Stop bombing Iran.

From Cuba to Palestine, Iran to our own communities, our struggles are connected. Cuban doctors who have saved lives around the world are smeared as “slaves.” Young people standing with Palestine are branded “terrorists.” Meanwhile, the U.S. pours unimaginable resources into war, sanctions, and militarization while people here struggle for healthcare and basic needs. Medea reminds us that we have to reject this upside-down morality and fight for a world built on peace, cooperation, dignity, and care for one another and our planet.

What is Medea Benjamin's engagement rate on X?
Medea Benjamin (@medeabenjamin) has an engagement rate of 0.374%, based on the median interactions across 43 original posts from the last 30 days against 223,342 followers. Replies, reposts and quote-posts of other people are excluded from that sample.
Is that a good engagement rate?
At 0.374%, Medea Benjamin sits above the 50th percentile of the 205,374 accounts in this comparison. Those comparison accounts are all large ones, because our scanning cadence is weighted towards big accounts, so this is a ranking among peers of similar scale rather than a ranking across X.
Does @medeabenjamin have real engagement?
Its engagement rate beats 81% of the tracked X accounts closest to it in follower count (20,444 accounts), which puts it in the top quarter for its size group. Ranking inside a size band matters because engagement rate falls as accounts grow, so a raw rate would mostly re-measure the follower count. It is a starting point for a look at follower quality, not a verdict on it.
When does @medeabenjamin post?
Most posts go out around 17:00 UTC, and Wednesday is its busiest day, at roughly 1.73 posts per day across the measured window.
