Matt Huang engagement report
@matthuang - 248K followers on X
Measured over 6 original posts from a 30-day window, last computed on September 9, 2026.
Engagement
Early reading. We have captured 6 original posts for this account, below the 8 we require before treating a median as settled. The numbers above describe what we have seen so far, not a finished profile of the account.
A typical post picks up 269 interactions against 248K followers, an engagement rate of 0.109%. Posts are seen about 42K times each, and 0.635% of those impressions turn into an interaction. That is about 17.1% of the follower count, which is the gap between an audience on paper and an audience in a timeline. Posting runs at about 0.63 post a day over the last 30 days, though only 43% of days saw any activity at all. Most posts go out around 16:00 UTC, and Tuesday is the busiest day of the week. Of the 6 posts sampled, 33% carry an image or video and 50% link out. The account's strongest tracked post pulled 4.3K interactions, about 16x its own typical post. Only 6 original posts have been captured so far, fewer than the 8 posts we want behind a median before treating it as settled. Read the figures above as an early measurement of this account, not as a finished profile of it.

Posting timing
This account posts most often around 16:00 UTC, and Tuesday is its busiest day of the week. The bars below are the catalog-wide pattern, with this account's own busiest slot marked. They do not show how this account performs at each hour: we keep one aggregate per account, not one per hour, so that measurement does not exist in our data.

Formats this account uses
Its own posting mix on the left, and what each of those formats does across every account we track on the right. Only formats where the effect clears our publish test appear here, so an empty row is a format we could not measure rather than one that does nothing.
| Format | This account | Catalog effect | 95% interval | Accounts behind it |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Image or video | 33% of posts | +111% | +108% to +115% | 34K |
| Outbound link | 50% of posts | -41% | -42% to -40% | 32K |
| Typical length | - | +15% | +14% to +16% | 32K |
- 33% of this account's sampled posts carry an image or video. Across the catalog, posts with an image or video run 111% above the same accounts' other posts.
- 50% of its posts carry a link off X. Across the catalog, posts with an outbound link run 41% below the same accounts' other posts, so a large share of this account's output sits in the weakest bucket we measure.
- Its average post runs 321 characters, which falls in the over 280 characters band. Across the catalog, posts over 280 characters run 15% above the same accounts' other posts.
These are catalog-wide differences applied to this account's own posting mix, not a measurement of how each format performs for this account specifically. We keep one median per account, not one per format per account, so the second thing is not something this data can tell you.

Kalshi raised $1B at a $22B valuation led by Coatue, with participation from Morgan Stanley, Sequoia, a16z, and others. In 2018, we were two kids who loved math, markets, and debate. And we had a dream: build the next generation financial market, where we capture a broader set of questions and harness the power of the masses to price them better than Wall Street. Kalshi was born to fulfill that dream. Today, most of these questions are traded indirectly, priced through imprecise proxies or negotiated bilaterally in opaque, restricted, relationship-driven markets. But thanks to our incredible community of users who make our markets work, Kalshi has the opportunity to change that by turning historically fragmented and untradeable risk into open, liquid, and standardized markets. We’ve seen this movie before. When interest rates, currencies, commodities, and crypto moved from dark to lit markets, volume did not just migrate: access expanded, new use cases emerged, and the opportunity grew by orders of magnitude. Today, Kalshi represents over 90% of US prediction market volume and the majority of activity globally, with annualized volume growing to $178B over the past 6 months. What started as retail is quickly becoming institutional — hedge funds, asset managers, prop firms, and insurers are beginning to trade, provide liquidity, and hedge real-world risk directly. The scope and scale of prediction markets are just beginning to take shape. We’re using this new capital to accelerate the institutional adoption underway — unlocking trillions in capital to facilitate active trading and risk management. Prediction markets are moving from early adoption to core financial infrastructure. This is just the beginning.

understanding progress on RSI is one of the most important things we can do to chart the future. @danrobinson and I made a game and explorer based on economic models of AI research, to make the inputs and constraints that define RSI more intuitive. https://t.co/w8qfDhnhqx

I’m excited to announce that I’m joining @Paradigm as an Investment and Research Partner. The half-life of our priors is shrinking. Multiple technological frontiers are advancing at once. AI is an undercurrent across many of them, changing what is technically and economically viable. As these frontiers interact, historical analogs become less useful as the range of plausible futures widens dramatically. Investing in this regime requires first-principles technical judgment - and the willingness to believe in futures that look nothing like the present. Paradigm pioneered this approach in crypto, a frontier where technical depth was essential and investing with conviction required imagining a system unlike anything that came before. I’m incredibly excited to work with @matthuang, @alanapalmedo, and the rest of the team to extend that approach across the broader technological frontier. https://t.co/gjbOcL057a

AI-soluble domains (cyber, math) now seem to be a dark forest where humming datacenters redeploy 10K agent swarms of compute toward the most worthy problems. Just knowing that a vulnerability exists or a math problem may be solvable is sufficient to attract such a swarm.
