A typical post picks up 1.1K interactions against 1.9M followers, an engagement rate of 0.059%. Measured over 22 original posts, its engagement rate beats 72% of 983 tracked accounts of a similar size, which puts it in the middle of its size range rather than at either end. Posts are seen about 67K times each, and 1.68% of those impressions turn into an interaction. That is about 3.54% of the follower count, which is the gap between an audience on paper and an audience in a timeline. Posting runs at about 0.73 post a day over the last 30 days, with activity on roughly 60% of days. Most posts go out around 14:00 UTC, and Tuesday is the busiest day of the week. Of the 22 posts sampled, 18% carry an image or video. The account's strongest tracked post pulled 15K interactions, about 13x its own typical post.

Compared with accounts its own size

Sen. Ledama Olekina's engagement rate beats 72% of the tracked X accounts closest to it in follower count (983 accounts, accounts of similar size (decile 8 of 10)). A percentile is spread evenly by construction, so 50 really is the middle of that group and 90 really is its top tenth.

On engagement per impression rather than per follower it beats 69% of the same group. When those two numbers disagree, the gap is about how far its posts travel rather than how people react to them.

Where this sits in the catalog

At 0.059%, Sen. Ledama Olekina sits above the 50th percentile of the 9,668 accounts in this comparison. That places it in the above the median band, which runs 0.046% to 0.318%.

This account posts most often around 14:00 UTC, and Tuesday is its busiest day of the week. The bars below are the catalog-wide pattern, with this account's own busiest slot marked. They do not show how this account performs at each hour: we keep one aggregate per account, not one per hour, so that measurement does not exist in our data.

Formats this account uses

Its own posting mix on the left, and what each of those formats does across every account we track on the right. Only formats where the effect clears our publish test appear here, so an empty row is a format we could not measure rather than one that does nothing.

  • 18% of this account's sampled posts carry an image or video. Across the catalog, posts with an image or video run 79% above the same accounts' other posts.
  • 0% of its posts carry a link off X. Across the catalog, posts with an outbound link run 49% below the same accounts' other posts.
  • Its average post runs 487 characters, which falls in the over 280 characters band. Across the catalog, posts over 280 characters run 12% above the same accounts' other posts.

These are catalog-wide differences applied to this account's own posting mix, not a measurement of how each format performs for this account specifically. We keep one median per account, not one per format per account, so the second thing is not something this data can tell you.

Olkalau has exposed the truth: this is not chess, it is raw numbers. The outcome confirms what many have refused to admit the Kikuyu vote will not carry President Ruto in 2027. But Kenya is bigger than one region. Across the country, millions who are seeing real development and feeling the impact of his leadership will have the final say and they will vote him back.

Shame on the DCP and @rigathi Profiling Kikuyus in Narok Town and Naivasha stuffing them into trucks like sacks of potatoes, and dumping them in Nairagie Enkare to stage a fraudulent show of support in Maasai land is pathetic politics. This kind of deception insults the people and exposes a leadership that is empty, desperate, and terrified of real support. Wake up, Kenyans. You will remain poor if this is the kind of politics you continue to tolerate.

The day we stop insulting each other, stop crying that government has failed, and start cleaning our filthy cities, putting ambulances in every county, ending off-budget spending, dropping our entitlement, and letting Ruto lead, that is the day Kenya changes. Until then, we are doomed. No opposition candidate will save us. That is a lie. Wake up, Kenyans. Ruto is not the problem. Our lack of vision and sense of entitlement are.

President Ruto’s affordable housing, stadiums, airports, convention centres and roads are transforming Kenya. Critics can rubbish the work all they like. But the design and amenities in these housing projects are on a level above what you find in Boston or New York. Until they travel and see real transformation, they will never understand what is being built here.

If campaigns continue in the manner we saw in Olkalau, this country will be dragged into deeper laziness, poverty, and mental slavery. Such politics is not only backward but dangerously divisive. We must confront and end this rot decisively. It is time to restore discipline, integrity, and purpose in our politics.

Running a government is far harder than many people pretend. It requires tough, often unpopular decisions that will test your beliefs and principles to the core. We can easily promise the electorate a government that “listens to the people” but what does that actually mean in practice?

When I become President of Kenya, I will strictly limit the official campaign period to a maximum of three months. Endless, unregulated campaigns have become a NATIONAL DISEASE. They breed goonism, insults, violence, and division all of which actively sabotage the hard work of building this country. IEBC must find the courage to enforce the law and impose real punitive measures. Without firm regulation, we risk having no country left to govern by next August. Kenya needs leaders focused on development, not perpetual political warfare.

Reading these numbers

What is Sen. Ledama Olekina's engagement rate on X?
Sen. Ledama Olekina (@ledamalekina) has an engagement rate of 0.059%, based on the median interactions across 22 original posts from the last 30 days against 1,898,389 followers. Replies, reposts and quote-posts of other people are excluded from that sample.
Is that a good engagement rate?
At 0.059%, Sen. Ledama Olekina sits above the 50th percentile of the 9,668 accounts in this comparison. Those comparison accounts are all large ones, because our scanning cadence is weighted towards big accounts, so this is a ranking among peers of similar scale rather than a ranking across X.
Does @ledamalekina have real engagement?
Its engagement rate beats 72% of the tracked X accounts closest to it in follower count (983 accounts), which puts it in the middle of its size range group. Ranking inside a size band matters because engagement rate falls as accounts grow, so a raw rate would mostly re-measure the follower count. It is a starting point for a look at follower quality, not a verdict on it.
When does @ledamalekina post?
Most posts go out around 14:00 UTC, and Tuesday is its busiest day, at roughly 0.73 posts per day across the measured window.
