A typical post picks up 1.1K interactions against 645K followers, an engagement rate of 0.163%. Measured over 8 original posts, its engagement rate beats 78% of 20,444 tracked accounts of a similar size. Comparing inside a size band matters here: engagement rate falls as accounts grow, so a raw rate would mostly just re-measure the follower count. Posts are seen about 155K times each, and 0.676% of those impressions turn into an interaction. That is about 24.1% of the follower count, which is the gap between an audience on paper and an audience in a timeline. Posting runs at about 2.1 posts a day over the last 30 days, with activity on almost every day in the window. Most posts go out around 14:00 UTC, and Monday is the busiest day of the week. Of the 8 posts sampled, 38% carry an image or video, 13% are part of a thread and 63% link out. The account's strongest tracked post pulled 1.1M interactions, about 439x its own typical post.

Compared with accounts its own size

Joe Kent's engagement rate beats 78% of the tracked X accounts closest to it in follower count (20,444 accounts, accounts of similar size (decile 10 of 10)). A percentile is spread evenly by construction, so 50 really is the middle of that group and 90 really is its top tenth.

On engagement per impression rather than per follower it beats 38% of the same group. When those two numbers disagree, the gap is about how far its posts travel rather than how people react to them.

Where this sits in the catalog

At 0.163%, Joe Kent sits above the 50th percentile of the 204,798 accounts in this comparison. That places it in the above the median band, which runs 0.143% to 0.678%.

Engagement rate as a share of followers, across the 204,798 accounts we have scanned enough to measure. The axis is logarithmic, because the top and bottom of this population are about 22,879 times apart and a linear axis would flatten everything below the median into a single point.

Formats this account uses

Its own posting mix on the left, and what each of those formats does across every account we track on the right. Only formats where the effect clears our publish test appear here, so an empty row is a format we could not measure rather than one that does nothing.

  • 38% of this account's sampled posts carry an image or video. Across the catalog, posts with an image or video run 111% above the same accounts' other posts.
  • 63% of its posts carry a link off X. Across the catalog, posts with an outbound link run 41% below the same accounts' other posts, so a large share of this account's output sits in the weakest bucket we measure.
  • Its average post runs 396 characters, which falls in the over 280 characters band. Across the catalog, posts over 280 characters run 15% above the same accounts' other posts.

These are catalog-wide differences applied to this account's own posting mix, not a measurement of how each format performs for this account specifically. We keep one median per account, not one per format per account, so the second thing is not something this data can tell you.

After much reflection, I have decided to resign from my position as Director of the National Counterterrorism Center, effective today. I cannot in good conscience support the ongoing war in Iran. Iran posed no imminent threat to our nation, and it is clear that we started this war due to pressure from Israel and its powerful American lobby. It has been an honor serving under @POTUS and @DNIGabbard and leading the professionals at NCTC. May God bless America.

Mark Levin’s stepson, David Milstein, who serves as an advisor to the U.S. ambassador to Israel, is soliciting cash gifts from Israeli citizens. On its face, this is just blatantly corrupt considering his official position, and invites a litany of counterintelligence threats. It also gives us a glimpse into how the pro-Israel echo chamber operates— Levin’s stepson and his boss, US ambassador to Israel Mike Huckabee, are given Israeli talking points by Israeli officials. For example: “Iran is about to develop a nuclear weapon & we must attack now! Should only take 3-4 weeks for the regime to collapse…” Huckabee & Milstein then deliver these Israeli talking points via official US gov channels. Milstein also sends the talking points to his stepdad, Israel-first Fox News host Mark Levin, currently a favorite of President Trump’s. President Trump is briefed on the Israeli taking points from the State Department via the official channels, then tunes into Levin on Fox and hears the same talking points(!). Now, Milstein is offering people a chance to buy his attention with a nice cash “gift,” and then maybe he’ll help them get their talking points to his stepdad & in front of President Trump. Until we make accepting money from any entity or person loyal to any nation other than the United States legitimately and unbearably toxic for our leaders, this problem will persist and our policies will continue to be influenced by the interests of those who continue to put America last. This cannot stand.

If this report is true, it means we are using U.S. troops to escort oil tankers through the SOH, where oil had been flowing freely before we started this disastrous war of choice at the behest of the Israelis. This a reckless and frivolous gamble with American lives, which we are foolishly opting to put at risk—not to thwart active terrorist threats to the homeland, but as an attempt to mitigate the damage we inflicted on ourselves & the global economy. Attaching U.S. military personnel to civilian ships makes those ships legitimate targets. This increases the threat level for all vessels and adds an even risker layer of complexity to the already challenging conditions we created in the SOH. It’s time to walk away now. End this war—any effort to use military force to secure a “win” will not have a meaningful lasting impact. It’s not worth the cost to our troops or inviting further escalation in this foolish war. https://t.co/Bm0QEpVCd0

What is Joe Kent's engagement rate on X?
Joe Kent (@joekent16jan19) has an engagement rate of 0.163%, based on the median interactions across 8 original posts from the last 30 days against 644,728 followers. Replies, reposts and quote-posts of other people are excluded from that sample.
Is that a good engagement rate?
At 0.163%, Joe Kent sits above the 50th percentile of the 204,798 accounts in this comparison. Those comparison accounts are all large ones, because our scanning cadence is weighted towards big accounts, so this is a ranking among peers of similar scale rather than a ranking across X.
Does @joekent16jan19 have real engagement?
Its engagement rate beats 78% of the tracked X accounts closest to it in follower count (20,444 accounts), which puts it in the top quarter for its size group. Ranking inside a size band matters because engagement rate falls as accounts grow, so a raw rate would mostly re-measure the follower count. It is a starting point for a look at follower quality, not a verdict on it.
When does @joekent16jan19 post?
Most posts go out around 14:00 UTC, and Monday is its busiest day, at roughly 2.13 posts per day across the measured window.
