A typical post picks up 122 interactions against 276K followers, an engagement rate of 0.044%. Measured over 36 original posts, its engagement rate beats 47% of 15,519 tracked accounts of a similar size, which puts it in the middle of its size range rather than at either end. Posts are seen about 13K times each, and 0.913% of those impressions turn into an interaction. That is about 4.82% of the follower count, which is the gap between an audience on paper and an audience in a timeline. Posting runs at about 4.4 posts a day over the last 30 days, with activity on roughly 77% of days. Most posts go out around 16:00 UTC, and Wednesday is the busiest day of the week. Of the 36 posts sampled, 67% carry an image or video, 17% are part of a thread and 58% link out. The account's strongest tracked post pulled 7.9K interactions, about 65x its own typical post. Recurring topics include #建房实录, #美国建房, #建房更新.

Compared with accounts its own size

Inconvenient Truths — Jennifer Zeng Reports's engagement rate beats 47% of the tracked X accounts closest to it in follower count (15,519 accounts, accounts of similar size (decile 9 of 10)). A percentile is spread evenly by construction, so 50 really is the middle of that group and 90 really is its top tenth.

On engagement per impression rather than per follower it beats 43% of the same group. When those two numbers disagree, the gap is about how far its posts travel rather than how people react to them.

Where this sits in the catalog

At 0.044%, Inconvenient Truths — Jennifer Zeng Reports sits above the 25th percentile of the 156,969 accounts in this comparison. That places it in the below the median band, which runs 0.022% to 0.128%.

Engagement rate as a share of followers, across the 156,969 accounts we have scanned enough to measure. The axis is logarithmic, because the top and bottom of this population are about 26,068 times apart and a linear axis would flatten everything below the median into a single point.

Formats this account uses

Its own posting mix on the left, and what each of those formats does across every account we track on the right. Only formats where the effect clears our publish test appear here, so an empty row is a format we could not measure rather than one that does nothing.

This account's posting mix compared with catalog-wide effects

  • 67% of this account's sampled posts carry an image or video. Across the catalog, posts with an image or video run 111% above the same accounts' other posts.
  • 58% of its posts carry a link off X. Across the catalog, posts with an outbound link run 41% below the same accounts' other posts, so a large share of this account's output sits in the weakest bucket we measure.
  • Its average post runs 478 characters, which falls in the over 280 characters band. Across the catalog, posts over 280 characters run 15% above the same accounts' other posts.

These are catalog-wide differences applied to this account's own posting mix, not a measurement of how each format performs for this account specifically. We keep one median per account, not one per format per account, so the second thing is not something this data can tell you.

🚨 More than 100 students and faculty from ten American universities—including Harvard, Columbia and the University of Chicago—just attended a briefing with a senior Chinese Communist Party official. On September 3, CCP International Department Vice Minister Lu Kang met the group in Qufu, China. The agenda included Beijing’s Five-Year Plan and its global foreign-policy initiatives. The Party’s readout says Lu wanted the visitors to develop: “a true, multidimensional and comprehensive understanding of China” It then attributes this assessment to the American students: “China’s development achievements have attracted worldwide attention.” And says they expressed willingness to: “contribute their youthful energy” …to promoting U.S.–China relations. Those are claims published by the Chinese Communist Party about its own outreach to people from American universities. The event’s named organizers were the China NGO Network for International Exchanges and the Chinese Association for International Understanding. The CCP identifies prominent American universities and explicitly includes faculty among the participants—but names none of those professors. Harvard, Columbia and the University of Chicago should release their participants’ roles and explain how this visit was arranged.

Another example of amazing CCP propaganda: The PLA soldiers finally arrived at the disaster zone FORTY-EIGHT hours after the mudslide on the Nepal-China border. They tapped the ice with sticks and shouted in unison: “Is anyone in there?” You tell me—was there anyone inside? https://t.co/uFlHZt5qOJ

CCP China. Some fell to the ground. No one cares. The lady recording this video asked why nobody has called 110 (police number) yet, others asked her to call, and she said she was not local and didn’t know the location of this place… https://t.co/BSpdE9cxdW

https://t.co/rafYYefgQQ 🤫Who says CCP China has lost its ability to innovate? Behold, a brand-new industry: the “charging girl” (充电媛). The business model is apparently simple: a guy pulls in at night to charge his EV. The battery needs an hour. So while the car gets charged, the driver can get… “charged” too. Now that’s what you call a full-service charging station.

Xi Jinping arrived in Bishkek aboard his special aircraft to attend the 2026 Shanghai Cooperation Organization summit. As Xi stepped off the plane, his face appeared pale and swollen. His gait looked unsteady, and the right side of his body appeared noticeably less mobile. He tightly held Peng Liyuan’s right hand with his left. By the time they were descending the aircraft stairs, Peng had quietly slipped her right arm under Xi’s left arm, appearing to support him with some effort. Xi’s legs seemed visibly unstable as he walked. His condition increasingly brings to mind Mao Zedong in his later years. Perhaps constantly worrying that people around him are forming factions, paying lip service while acting otherwise, and ultimately threatening his power and position has already left him exhausted. Meanwhile, the disaster in Tibet seems to have been pushed completely out of his mind. Xi may not even have a basic understanding of what is actually happening there.

https://t.co/HGPMf3zLt0 😮Absolutely astonishing! I had only seen Chinese people going to IKEA to enjoy the free air conditioning before. Now even ordinary supermarkets that mainly sell groceries are being “occupied” like this! I guess supermarkets like these probably don’t have the resources to hire security guards to keep people from doing this either. What can they do? The CCP boasts every day about how wonderfully it has built and developed the country. Yet now these retired elderly people have been reduced to seeking refuge from the heat in supermarkets just to enjoy the air conditioning. How embarrassing!

What is Inconvenient Truths — Jennifer Zeng Reports's engagement rate on X?
Inconvenient Truths — Jennifer Zeng Reports (@jenniferzeng97) has an engagement rate of 0.044%, based on the median interactions across 36 original posts from the last 30 days against 276,370 followers. Replies, reposts and quote-posts of other people are excluded from that sample.
Is that a good engagement rate?
At 0.044%, Inconvenient Truths — Jennifer Zeng Reports sits above the 25th percentile of the 156,969 accounts in this comparison. Those comparison accounts are all large ones, because our scanning cadence is weighted towards big accounts, so this is a ranking among peers of similar scale rather than a ranking across X.
Does @jenniferzeng97 have real engagement?
Its engagement rate beats 47% of the tracked X accounts closest to it in follower count (15,519 accounts), which puts it in the middle of its size range group. Ranking inside a size band matters because engagement rate falls as accounts grow, so a raw rate would mostly re-measure the follower count. It is a starting point for a look at follower quality, not a verdict on it.
When does @jenniferzeng97 post?
Most posts go out around 16:00 UTC, and Wednesday is its busiest day, at roughly 4.43 posts per day across the measured window.
