في البداية، صعّد الإعلام السـ ـني خبر استشـ ـهاد العميد والمنتسب، رحمهما الله، في البوعيثة؛ لأن النمطية الإعلامية السنـ ـية اعتادت اتهام الفصـ ـائل بمثل هذه الحوادث، ومعها دعم المغفلين. وبعد أن تبيّن أن الحادث ارتكبـ ـته جماعة وافدة من مناطق اللطيفية والطارمية واليوسفية، سكت الإعلام السـ ـني، وكذلك سكت المغفلون الذين سارعوا في البداية إلى توجيه الاتهامات، بسبب النمطية التي فرضها الإعلام السـ ـني عليهم سابقا. إعلام مسعود بارزاني اعتمد هذه النمطية في بداية انتشار الخبر، وأعلن أن المتـ ـهم تابع للفصـ ـائل المسلحة، لكنه تراجع بعد ذلك، وبدأ يتحدث عن حصر السـ ـلاح بيد الدولة، لان الخبر البديل لا يخدم اجندة الـ بارزاني.. أما إعلام خميس، فبعد أن تيقن من محدودية اتهام الفصـ ـائل، وجّه أعضاء مؤسسته إلى مهاجمة الحكومة؛ لأنها لم تتخذ إجراءات رحيمة مع سكنة هذه المنطقة. هذه هي النمطية التي فرضتها وسائل الإعلام السـ ـنية والكردية؛ عناوين لا تحتاج إلى مراجعة: أراض زراعية، يعني فصـ ـائل مسـ ـلحة. طائرة مسيرة، يعني فصـ ـائل مسلـ ـحة. أرض زراعية، يعني سكانا عتاگة ولفو من المدن الشيـ ـعية. والمغفل الشيـ ـعي مربوط بهذه النمطية من عنقه، لا يستطيع حتى الالتفات لمعرفة الحقيقة. حتى لو صارحه الإعلام السـ ـني بالحقيقة، فأنه يهاجم هذا الإعلام ويعتمد على النمطية التي تدرب عليها سابقا على يد نفس هذا الإعلام..
