Bugün TBMM Genel Kurulu’nda, Türkiye’nin geleceği açısından tarihi bir sorumluluğu konuşmak için söz aldım. Terörle mücadelede bugüne kadar güvenlik politikalarının tamamını denedik. Askerî, polisiye ve adli tedbirler uygulandı; OHAL dönemleri yaşandı. Ancak terörün gerekçelerini ortadan kaldırmadan kalıcı bir sonuç elde edemedik. Bugün artık meseleye yalnızca terörle mücadele olarak değil, terörizmin gerekçelerini ortadan kaldıracak bir devlet politikası olarak bakmak zorundayız. Çünkü güvenlik politikaları bir siyasi partinin politikası değil, Türkiye Cumhuriyeti Devleti’nin politikası olmalıdır. Ben Elâzığ milletvekiliyim. Türkiye’nin en milliyetçi kentlerinden birini temsil ediyorum. Buna rağmen bu meseleyi siyasi hesaplarla değil, devletin bekası ve Türkiye’nin geleceği açısından değerlendiriyorum. Bu bayrak hepimizin. Bu millet hepimizin. Türk, Kürt, Alevi, Sünni, Zaza, Çerkez, Laz, Gürcü olabiliriz. İnançlarımız, kökenlerimiz ve değerlerimiz farklı olabilir. Ama hepimizin bir tek ortak kimliği var: Türkiye Cumhuriyeti yurttaşı olmak. Bu nedenle, devlet bekası ve devlet meselesi olarak gördüğüm için bu kanuna “evet” oyu vereceğimi Genel Kurul’da ifade ettim. Ayrıca Sayın Devlet Bahçeli’ye de teşekkür etmek istiyorum. Kendi aramızda hep konuştuğumuz ancak bu kürsüde yeterince ifade edilmeyen bir gerçeği burada söylemek istiyorum: Sizin dışınızda kimse bu süreci başlatamazdı, kimse cesaret edemezdi, kimse gündeme getiremezdi. Geldiğimiz noktaya verdiğiniz katkı nedeniyle teşekkür ediyorum. Ne mutlu Türk’üm diyene!
