National Association for Gun Rights engagement report
@gunrights - 133K followers on X
Measured over 19 original posts from a 30-day window, last computed on October 1, 2026.
Engagement
A typical post picks up 283 interactions against 133K followers, an engagement rate of 0.217%. Measured over 19 original posts, its engagement rate beats 68% of 21,185 tracked accounts of a similar size, which puts it in the middle of its size range rather than at either end. Posts are seen about 5.8K times each, and 4.90% of those impressions turn into an interaction. That is about 4.35% of the follower count, which is the gap between an audience on paper and an audience in a timeline. Posting runs at about 2.5 posts a day over the last 30 days, though only 30% of days saw any activity at all. Most posts go out around 14:00 UTC, and Tuesday is the busiest day of the week. Of the 19 posts sampled, 84% carry an image or video, 21% are part of a thread and 16% link out. The account's strongest tracked post pulled 2.0K interactions, about 7.2x its own typical post.

Compared with accounts its own size
National Association for Gun Rights's engagement rate beats 68% of the tracked X accounts closest to it in follower count (21,185 accounts, accounts of similar size (decile 8 of 10)). A percentile is spread evenly by construction, so 50 really is the middle of that group and 90 really is its top tenth.
On engagement per impression rather than per follower it beats 86% of the same group. When those two numbers disagree, the gap is about how far its posts travel rather than how people react to them.
Where this sits in the catalog
At 0.217%, National Association for Gun Rights sits above the 50th percentile of the 213,004 accounts in this comparison. That places it in the above the median band, which runs 0.147% to 0.698%.

Posting timing
This account posts most often around 14:00 UTC, and Tuesday is its busiest day of the week. The bars below are the catalog-wide pattern, with this account's own busiest slot marked. They do not show how this account performs at each hour: we keep one aggregate per account, not one per hour, so that measurement does not exist in our data.

Formats this account uses
Its own posting mix on the left, and what each of those formats does across every account we track on the right. Only formats where the effect clears our publish test appear here, so an empty row is a format we could not measure rather than one that does nothing.
| Format | This account | Catalog effect | 95% interval | Accounts behind it |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Image or video | 84% of posts | +111% | +108% to +115% | 34K |
| Outbound link | 16% of posts | -41% | -42% to -40% | 32K |
| Typical length | - | +15% | +14% to +16% | 32K |
- 84% of this account's sampled posts carry an image or video. Across the catalog, posts with an image or video run 111% above the same accounts' other posts.
- 16% of its posts carry a link off X. Across the catalog, posts with an outbound link run 41% below the same accounts' other posts.
- Its average post runs 343 characters, which falls in the over 280 characters band. Across the catalog, posts over 280 characters run 15% above the same accounts' other posts.
These are catalog-wide differences applied to this account's own posting mix, not a measurement of how each format performs for this account specifically. We keep one median per account, not one per format per account, so the second thing is not something this data can tell you.

Today I sent a letter to President Trump and Vice President Vance urging action against ATF’s unlawful gun registry. This database — which has grown to more than 1.4 billion records — was built up over years in violation of the Firearm Owners’ Protection Act of 1986 and longstanding appropriations restrictions. The ATF has no authority to maintain a national registry of guns and gun owners. We are asking the administration to investigate the database, destroy any records kept illegally, and stop its expansion.

The attempted Australia-ification of the US continues. Giffords and David Hogg's former gun control group are backing a bill to regulate air guns the same as firearms. This isn't a shock. We've said for years they'll never stop at firearms. They constantly point to places like the UK, Germany, and Australia as the model we should follow. Places that regulate knives with a point and make you register airsoft guns with the government.

We seem to have upset @Everytown. One remark and they rushed their overpaid "journalists" out the door to write a whole article crying about it. Their defense of the idea that adults are not adults? A crime committed by a 22 year old. Someone the old rule wouldn't have touched. So which is it, Greg Lickenbrock? Do you want the age ban expanded to 22 and up? Or are numbers just not your strong suit?

Gavin Newsom wants a government censor inside every 3D printer in California. He signed AB 2047 on Sept. 26. Every single consumer 3D printer sold in the state will need software that detects and blocks gun files. There's no working standard for that software yet. Once the state writes one, any printer that can't run it gets banned from sale. They're willing to kill off an entire industry over a program that likely won't be able to tell the deference between a Glock switch and a drawer latch.

A right you have to ask permission for is a privilege. And the government only grants privileges it can take back.

Gun owners have been compromising since 1934. Every law since was sold as the reasonable middle ground. Every one became the starting line for the next demand. The NFA put a tax and a registry on machine guns, short-barreled rifles, and suppressors. The Gun Control Act built federal dealer licensing. 1986 closed the machine gun registry for good. Brady put a background check on every dealer sale. Then in 2022, Cornyn and 14 other Senate Republicans handed over $750 million to help states run "red flag" programs. That's what "compromise" means to them. Why we can never do it again.

🚨 BREAKING 2A: Connecticut's Glock ban is BLOCKED. A federal judge froze Ned Lamont's "convertible pistol" ban on Sept. 30, one day before it took effect. The judge ruled the ban likely violates the Second Amendment, calling these pistols "not only safe, but extremely popular for purposes of self-defense." She also noted Connecticut couldn't explain why a gun made Sept. 30 is safe to sell, but the same gun made 24 hours later is dangerous.

Convicted armed robber Grant Harden was banned from touching a gun for life. He still walked into a Charlotte arcade with a Glock and started a shootout. He got nine years for it. He'll be out sooner than that. Meanwhile they'll pass more laws that fail to stop the next Harden, but will disarm you.

- What is National Association for Gun Rights's engagement rate on X?
- National Association for Gun Rights (@gunrights) has an engagement rate of 0.217%, based on the median interactions across 19 original posts from the last 30 days against 132,825 followers. Replies, reposts and quote-posts of other people are excluded from that sample.
- Is that a good engagement rate?
- At 0.217%, National Association for Gun Rights sits above the 50th percentile of the 213,004 accounts in this comparison. Those comparison accounts are all large ones, because our scanning cadence is weighted towards big accounts, so this is a ranking among peers of similar scale rather than a ranking across X.
- Does @gunrights have real engagement?
- Its engagement rate beats 68% of the tracked X accounts closest to it in follower count (21,185 accounts), which puts it in the middle of its size range group. Ranking inside a size band matters because engagement rate falls as accounts grow, so a raw rate would mostly re-measure the follower count. It is a starting point for a look at follower quality, not a verdict on it.
- When does @gunrights post?
- Most posts go out around 14:00 UTC, and Tuesday is its busiest day, at roughly 2.47 posts per day across the measured window.
