The Lagos State Govt engagement report
@followlasg - 1.1M followers on X
Measured over 256 original posts from a 30-day window, last computed on October 23, 2026.
Engagement
A typical post picks up 14 interactions against 1.1M followers, an engagement rate of 0.001%. Measured over 256 original posts, its engagement rate beats 13% of 19,932 tracked accounts of a similar size. That is a reason to look at how the audience behaves - reply depth, saves, whether the followers are recent - rather than a conclusion about it on its own. Posts are seen about 5.7K times each, and 0.238% of those impressions turn into an interaction. That is about 0.513% of the follower count, which is the gap between an audience on paper and an audience in a timeline. Posting runs at about 9 posts a day over the last 30 days, with activity on almost every day in the window. Most posts go out around 19:00 UTC, and Thursday is the busiest day of the week. Of the 256 posts sampled, 100% carry an image or video and 48% link out. The account's strongest tracked post pulled 6.4K interactions, about 454x its own typical post. Recurring topics include #agreaterlagosrising, #lasg, #accountability.

Compared with accounts its own size
The Lagos State Govt's engagement rate beats 13% of the tracked X accounts closest to it in follower count (19,932 accounts, accounts of similar size (decile 10 of 10)). A percentile is spread evenly by construction, so 50 really is the middle of that group and 90 really is its top tenth.
On engagement per impression rather than per follower it beats 17% of the same group. When those two numbers disagree, the gap is about how far its posts travel rather than how people react to them.
Where this sits in the catalog
At 0.001%, The Lagos State Govt sits below the 10th percentile of the 201,130 accounts in this comparison. That places it in the bottom 25% band, which runs below 0.024%.

Formats this account uses
Its own posting mix on the left, and what each of those formats does across every account we track on the right. Only formats where the effect clears our publish test appear here, so an empty row is a format we could not measure rather than one that does nothing.
| Format | This account | Catalog effect | 95% interval | Accounts behind it |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Image or video | 100% of posts | +111% | +108% to +115% | 34K |
| Outbound link | 48% of posts | -41% | -42% to -40% | 32K |
| Typical length | - | +15% | +14% to +16% | 32K |
- 100% of this account's sampled posts carry an image or video. Across the catalog, posts with an image or video run 111% above the same accounts' other posts.
- 48% of its posts carry a link off X. Across the catalog, posts with an outbound link run 41% below the same accounts' other posts, so a large share of this account's output sits in the weakest bucket we measure.
- Its average post runs 989 characters, which falls in the over 280 characters band. Across the catalog, posts over 280 characters run 15% above the same accounts' other posts.
These are catalog-wide differences applied to this account's own posting mix, not a measurement of how each format performs for this account specifically. We keep one median per account, not one per format per account, so the second thing is not something this data can tell you.

On this special occasion of Iṣẹ̀ṣe Day, I extend warm greetings and best wishes to all Lagosians across the five IBILE divisions — Ikeja, Badagry, Ikorodu, Lagos Island and Epe. Iṣẹ̀ṣe Day is an opportunity to celebrate our rich Yoruba heritage, culture and traditions, as well as the values that have shaped us as a people. It is also a reminder of the importance of preserving our heritage and passing it on to the generations coming after us. As Lagos continues to grow as a global city, we must continue to hold on to the history, culture and traditions that make our state unique. Our diversity and heritage remain an important part of what makes Lagos the vibrant city that it is today. May this Iṣẹ̀ṣe Day bring peace, unity and prosperity to our communities. May Lagos continue to witness progress, while our rich cultural heritage remains a source of pride for generations to come. Happy Iṣẹ̀ṣe Day to all Lagosians! Ẹ kú ọjọ́ Iṣẹ̀ṣe! CONSUMER AWARENESS IN SCHOOLS KNOW YOUR RIGHTS AS A PARENT/GUARDIAN You enrol your child in a school. After completing the admission process, the school provides a list of books, stationery and uniforms to purchase. You find the same approved and equivalent items at another shop at a lower price and decide to buy them there. But the school tells you: “No. You must buy them from us. We don’t accept books or uniforms purchased elsewhere.” ⚠️ KNOW THIS: Where equivalent approved products are reasonably available elsewhere, parents and guardians should generally be free to choose where to purchase them. A school should not unnecessarily restrict parents from buying equivalent approved books, uniforms or stationery from other suppliers. YOU HAVE A CHOICE. KNOW YOUR RIGHTS. SPEAK UP. That BRT you enter, that street light that makes your street safe at night, that manhole cover that keeps your child safe na our property be that. Every damaged streetlight, broken traffic sign, or vandalized bus stop costs Lagosians twice: first through public funds used for repairs, and second through the risks created for everyone. We paid for them. Government maintains them. And when one person vandalizes them, we all pay the price. Protect Lagos today, so our children can inherit a better Lagos tomorrow. Public infrastructure is not “government property” alone it’s our shared property. If you see something say something. Protect it. Report vandalism. Help keep Lagos safe for all. @jidesanwoolu @gbenga_omo @gboyegaakosile @LanreBajulaiye @BarrBimbola @Mr_JAGs @Riddwane #AGreaterLagosRising #LASG #ProtectLagos #OurLagos #PublicProperty #KeepLagosSafe #OwnYourEnvironment #StopVandalism #CivicResponsibility

SANWO-OLU TARGETS 3,000MW ELECTRICITY SUPPLY FOR LAGOS BY MARCH 2027 As part of efforts to end blackouts and build a 24-hour power economy in the state, the Lagos State Government has announced plans to increase electricity supply to the state to above 3,000 megawatts from the current level of below 1,000 megawatts by March 2027. Governor Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu disclosed this on Saturday at the Fourth Lagos Business School Africa Energy Conference (AEC 2026), with the theme, “Securing Nigeria’s Energy Future: Policy Reform, Capital Mobilisation, and Pathways to a Sustainable Power and Energy Market,” held at the Honeywell Auditorium, Lagos Business School (LBS), Lekki-Epe Expressway, Lagos. Sanwo-Olu, who was represented by his Deputy, Dr. Kadri Obafemi Hamzat said the state is working to mobilise an additional 2,000MW through national grid resources, independent power projects, energy hubs, power barges, energy traders, and embedded generation supply. He stated that achieving the target would require coordinated improvements across the electricity value chain, including generation, transmission, distribution, gas supply, and metering. To achieve the target, the governor outlined a seven-point action plan focused on making the Lagos Electricity Market fully functional, increasing electricity generation, strengthening distribution capacity, reinforcing transmission infrastructure, improving networks and metering, strengthening gas-to-power arrangements, and enhancing information technology and market visibility. He noted that the state is working to strengthen its transmission network, improve substations and distribution feeders, and expand metering coverage to reduce estimated billing and improve service delivery, adding that the government is working to establish clear contractual obligations, strengthen coordination among electricity market operators and regulators, and create a commercially viable environment capable of attracting private investment. The Governor further emphasised the importance of reliable gas supply to power plants and the deployment of digital systems, including Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA), Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) and the Lagos Electricity Intelligence Platform, to improve monitoring, accountability and transparency. He noted that Lagos had also recorded progress in renewable-energy interventions, with about 42,000 of the approximately 50,000 streetlights earmarked for solarisation completed, alongside solarisation projects in 175 public schools, with another 100 ongoing. Sanwo-Olu, therefore, called on investors, financial institutions, energy operators and development partners to collaborate with the state in delivering the plan, noting that reliable electricity is essential to industrial growth, job creation, business competitiveness and improved living standards. He said the focus is now on disciplined implementation and measurable results that would support the development of a sustainable electricity market and strengthen Lagos’s economic growth. @jidesanwoolu @drobafemihamzat @gbenga_omo @gboyegaakosile @BarrBimbola @Mr_JAGs @Riddwane #AGreaterLagosRising #LASG

Reading these numbers
- What is The Lagos State Govt's engagement rate on X?
- The Lagos State Govt (@followlasg) has an engagement rate of 0.001%, based on the median interactions across 256 original posts from the last 30 days against 1,105,384 followers. Replies, reposts and quote-posts of other people are excluded from that sample.
- Is that a good engagement rate?
- At 0.001%, The Lagos State Govt sits below the 10th percentile of the 201,130 accounts in this comparison. Those comparison accounts are all large ones, because our scanning cadence is weighted towards big accounts, so this is a ranking among peers of similar scale rather than a ranking across X.
- Does @followlasg have real engagement?
- Its engagement rate beats 13% of the tracked X accounts closest to it in follower count (19,932 accounts), which puts it in the bottom quarter for its size group. Ranking inside a size band matters because engagement rate falls as accounts grow, so a raw rate would mostly re-measure the follower count. It is a starting point for a look at follower quality, not a verdict on it.
- When does @followlasg post?
- Most posts go out around 19:00 UTC, and Thursday is its busiest day, at roughly 8.97 posts per day across the measured window.
