A typical post picks up 1.6K interactions against 1.2M followers, an engagement rate of 0.137%. Measured over 41 original posts, its engagement rate beats 75% of 21,185 tracked accounts of a similar size. Comparing inside a size band matters here: engagement rate falls as accounts grow, so a raw rate would mostly just re-measure the follower count. Posts are seen about 34K times each, and 4.74% of those impressions turn into an interaction. That is about 2.89% of the follower count, which is the gap between an audience on paper and an audience in a timeline. Posting runs at about 3.1 posts a day over the last 30 days, with activity on roughly 73% of days. Most posts go out around 04:00 UTC, and Tuesday is the busiest day of the week. Of the 41 posts sampled, 59% carry an image or video and 17% link out. The account's strongest tracked post pulled 67K interactions, about 41x its own typical post. Recurring topics include #abhijeetdipke, #chalodilli, #cpim.

Compared with accounts its own size

Derek O'Brien | ডেরেক ও'ব্রায়েন's engagement rate beats 75% of the tracked X accounts closest to it in follower count (21,185 accounts, accounts of similar size (decile 10 of 10)). A percentile is spread evenly by construction, so 50 really is the middle of that group and 90 really is its top tenth.

On engagement per impression rather than per follower it beats 88% of the same group. When those two numbers disagree, the gap is about how far its posts travel rather than how people react to them.

Where this sits in the catalog

At 0.137%, Derek O'Brien | ডেরেক ও'ব্রায়েন sits above the 25th percentile of the 212,270 accounts in this comparison. That places it in the below the median band, which runs 0.025% to 0.146%.

Engagement rate as a share of followers, across the 212,270 accounts we have scanned enough to measure. The axis is logarithmic, because the top and bottom of this population are about 22,455 times apart and a linear axis would flatten everything below the median into a single point.

They do not show how this account performs at each hour: we keep one aggregate per account, not one per hour, so that measurement does not exist in our data.

Formats this account uses

Its own posting mix on the left, and what each of those formats does across every account we track on the right. Only formats where the effect clears our publish test appear here, so an empty row is a format we could not measure rather than one that does nothing.

  • 59% of this account's sampled posts carry an image or video. Across the catalog, posts with an image or video run 111% above the same accounts' other posts.
  • 17% of its posts carry a link off X. Across the catalog, posts with an outbound link run 41% below the same accounts' other posts.
  • Its average post runs 290 characters, which falls in the over 280 characters band. Across the catalog, posts over 280 characters run 15% above the same accounts' other posts.

These are catalog-wide differences applied to this account's own posting mix, not a measurement of how each format performs for this account specifically. We keep one median per account, not one per format per account, so the second thing is not something this data can tell you.

When CJP was granted permission to protest, many were quick to float conspiracy theories that we were planted by the BJP. Yesterday, the INDIA bloc held a massive protest, but there was no crackdown like the one we witnessed on October 10. This is exactly how the govt plays us against each other. By treating different protests differently, they create suspicion and mistrust among people who are ultimately fighting for the same cause. My only request to everyone is to see through these tactics. Today, they may allow one protest and crush another. Tomorrow, they could reverse the roles. The idea is to keep us doubting each other instead of questioning those in power. Don’t let conspiracy theories divide us. Don’t fall into the trap of fighting among ourselves when we should be standing together. The fight is against Gyanesh Kumar and those protecting him. Don’t lose sight of that.

UNDECLARED EMERGENCY: THOSE DEFENDING DEMOCRACY ARE DETAINED, WHILE THOSE BETRAYING IT ARE PROTECTED! The Union BJP Government has detained Former Chief Ministers Com. @PinarayiVijayan, Thiru. @ArvindKejriwal, @MamataOfficial and Com. Manik Sarkar, @CPIMSpeak General Secretary @MABabyCPIM and leaders of various student organisations who are fighting to protect the people's right to vote, while CEC Gyanesh Kumar, who should be facing trial for his act of treason, is roaming freely with Z+ security! What a disgrace! The conspiracy behind SIR has been completely exposed. There is no hiding it anymore! Barricading #Delhi, shutting down the internet and detaining political leaders cannot crush the uprising of India's youth. How long can the Union Government keep an entire nation under siege? Meanwhile, the Kakistocratic TVK Government in Tamil Nadu is desperately trying to please its Delhi masters by detaining activists protesting against #SIR and demanding #GyaneshKumar's resignation. All those detained must be released immediately. Gyanesh Kumar must be sacked, SIR must be halted, and everyone responsible for betraying the people of India must be held accountable! @CockroachIsBack @SFI_CEC @abhijeet_dipke @AISA_Official_ @Aishe_Ghosh @SauravDassss @Neha_AISA @AshutoshRanka @Dhruv_Rathee

Opposition boycotting elections = BJP wins all seats. Once that happens, they amend the Constitution to legalize all their crimes. Also not contesting elections means betraying the lakhs of workers who are on the ground, fighting with their lives. That is why it is important to fight elections to protect democratic rights, while also fighting for free and fair elections

Derek O'Brien | ডেরেক ও'ব্রায়েন (@derekobrienmp) has an engagement rate of 0.137%, based on the median interactions across 41 original posts from the last 30 days against 1,188,872 followers. Replies, reposts and quote-posts of other people are excluded from that sample.
Is that a good engagement rate?
At 0.137%, Derek O'Brien | ডেরেক ও'ব্রায়েন sits above the 25th percentile of the 212,270 accounts in this comparison.
