A typical post picks up 487 interactions against 1.3M followers, an engagement rate of 0.038%. Measured over 41 original posts, its engagement rate beats 56% of 3,739 tracked accounts of a similar size, which puts it in the middle of its size range rather than at either end. Posts are seen about 42K times each, and 1.16% of those impressions turn into an interaction. That is about 3.24% of the follower count, which is the gap between an audience on paper and an audience in a timeline. Posting runs at about 2.3 posts a day over the last 30 days, with activity on almost every day in the window. Most posts go out around 17:00 UTC, and Monday is the busiest day of the week. Of the 41 posts sampled, 24% carry an image or video and 7% link out. The account's strongest tracked post pulled 43K interactions, about 89x its own typical post.

Compared with accounts its own size

Dan Held's engagement rate beats 56% of the tracked X accounts closest to it in follower count (3,739 accounts, accounts of similar size (decile 9 of 10)). A percentile is spread evenly by construction, so 50 really is the middle of that group and 90 really is its top tenth.

On engagement per impression rather than per follower it beats 55% of the same group. When those two numbers disagree, the gap is about how far its posts travel rather than how people react to them.

Where this sits in the catalog

At 0.038%, Dan Held sits above the 25th percentile of the 36,378 accounts in this comparison. That places it in the below the median band, which runs 0.012% to 0.08%.

Posting timing

This account posts most often around 17:00 UTC, and Monday is its busiest day of the week. The bars below are the catalog-wide pattern, with this account's own busiest slot marked. They do not show how this account performs at each hour: we keep one aggregate per account, not one per hour, so that measurement does not exist in our data.

It might seem hypocritical that Variety praises Moana for respecting Polynesian culture while attacking you for wanting Nolan’s Odyssey to respect Greek culture. But there’s actually a consistent moral through-line: They just hate White people. https://t.co/IrMfEXOvDA

BREAKING: The US Government officially posts its largest July budget deficit in history, at -$432 billion, due to an acceleration in federal spending. Interest on US debt rose +$26 billion from last July's levels to an alarming $118 billion for the month. This puts total interest expense for FY2026 up to $1.17 trillion in FY2026. As a result, interest expense has officially surpassed both National Defense and Medicare spending. In other words, the US government now spends more money just on interest than it does to fund the entire US Military or to provide healthcare for seniors. We cannot afford higher interest rates.

for anyone in tech with money: the annual percentage they want to take from you each year via asset seizure is what you should be plowing into super pacs, NGOs, and media influencers right now to beat back marxism. the hour's late, and nobody else is coming to save you.

In 10 years it won't matter if you bought Bitcoin at $30,000 or $60,000. The most important thing is that you bought.

When I promoted @Ledger as a self custody solution years ago, I got a mountain of criticism from Bitcoin puritan plebs and podcasters. They claimed it was a shitcoin company, and wasn’t secure because of that, and I was a “scammer” for recommending it. However, Ledger was and is a highly competent and technical organization with hundreds of employees. This was obvious to anyone with a couple brain cells. All while those same puritans were shilling an amateur solution built by 5 guys in a garage in Canada. But if you dared criticize cold card you’d have a legion of puritans shouting in your replies. No humility. All trust, and no verify. The opposite of what they preached. This is a wake up call that Bitcoin only or Bitcoin puritan companies often are of poorer quality than other crypto companies. The best of the best employees and most of the funding will go to companies that just focus on execution, not being virtuous. Finally, you don’t buy Apple products because they align with your political beliefs, you buy Apple because it’s built by a great company. Focus on competent companies, not virtuous ones. [I’m going to preemptively cover this before 80IQ plebs hit the replies: Ledger’s email database leaks are not even remotely equivalent to a catastrophic seed generation exploit]

What is Dan Held's engagement rate on X?
Dan Held (@danheld) has an engagement rate of 0.038%, based on the median interactions across 41 original posts from the last 30 days against 1,292,026 followers. Replies, reposts and quote-posts of other people are excluded from that sample.
Is that a good engagement rate?
At 0.038%, Dan Held sits above the 25th percentile of the 36,378 accounts in this comparison. Those comparison accounts are all large ones, because our scanning cadence is weighted towards big accounts, so this is a ranking among peers of similar scale rather than a ranking across X.
Does @danheld have real engagement?
Its engagement rate beats 56% of the tracked X accounts closest to it in follower count (3,739 accounts), which puts it in the middle of its size range group. Ranking inside a size band matters because engagement rate falls as accounts grow, so a raw rate would mostly re-measure the follower count. It is a starting point for a look at follower quality, not a verdict on it.
When does @danheld post?
Most posts go out around 17:00 UTC, and Monday is its busiest day, at roughly 2.33 posts per day across the measured window.
