A typical post picks up 104 interactions against 1.2M followers, an engagement rate of 0.008%. Measured over 34 original posts, its engagement rate beats 32% of 3,809 tracked accounts of a similar size, which puts it in the middle of its size range rather than at either end. Posts are seen about 21K times each, and 0.49% of those impressions turn into an interaction. That is about 1.70% of the follower count, which is the gap between an audience on paper and an audience in a timeline. Posting runs at about 1.1 post a day over the last 30 days, with activity on roughly 67% of days. Most posts go out around 22:00 UTC, and Thursday is the busiest day of the week. Of the 34 posts sampled, 85% carry an image or video and 24% link out. The account's strongest tracked post pulled 426 interactions, about 4.1x its own typical post.

Compared with accounts its own size

Andrew Zimmern's engagement rate beats 32% of the tracked X accounts closest to it in follower count (3,809 accounts, accounts of similar size (decile 9 of 10)). A percentile is spread evenly by construction, so 50 really is the middle of that group and 90 really is its top tenth.

On engagement per impression rather than per follower it beats 32% of the same group. When those two numbers disagree, the gap is about how far its posts travel rather than how people react to them.

Where this sits in the catalog

At 0.008%, Andrew Zimmern sits above the 10th percentile of the 36,852 accounts in this comparison. That places it in the bottom 25% band, which runs below 0.012%.

This account posts most often around 22:00 UTC, and Thursday is its busiest day of the week. The bars below are the catalog-wide pattern, with this account's own busiest slot marked. They do not show how this account performs at each hour: we keep one aggregate per account, not one per hour, so that measurement does not exist in our data.

No one wants another loaf of zucchini bread. You need this instead. First, it’s a couple from the farmer’s market. Then your neighbor leaves a bag on your porch. Then your garden decides you’re responsible for feeding a small village. Fortunately, the Italians solved this problem a long time ago. And thanks to Stanley Tucci, a whole new generation of home cooks discovered just how good this pasta really is. Want the recipe? Check the link in my bio.

This is a very good reason to skip takeout. Green mango salad and lemongrass chicken are two Vietnamese classics that belong in your regular rotation. The salad takes about five minutes. The chicken needs a good marinade, a hot grill or pan and enough restraint to let the edges get properly dark and sticky. Want the recipes? Check the link in my bio.

Some recipes don't need reinventing. Moules Marinière is one of them. Butter. Shallots. Garlic. White wine. Parsley. Fresh mussels. That's it. Shoutout to @taylorshellfish for giving me the excuse to bring one of my all-time favorite meals back to the table. Grab the recipe by using the link in my bio, pick up a loaf of crusty bread and don't waste a drop of that broth.

A little char on mortadella goes a long way. At least my friends and family think so whenever they try this at my house, Put it on the grill until the edges get crisp, pile it onto toasted focaccia with pistachio pesto, burrata, grilled onions, arugula and Calabrian chile oil. And PLEASE don’t ruin it at the finish line. A good serrated knife matters. My @ShunCutlery bread knife cuts cleanly through the focaccia without crushing everything you just built because it is designed perfectly. Salty, creamy, crunchy, spicy, smoky, cool, crisp, warm... Exactly what a sandwich should be. Check out the link in my bio for the recipe.

Why hasn’t takikomi gohan become an American weeknight staple? This Japanese one-pot rice dish has been solving the dinner problem for centuries, and I’ve been making it for decades. Rice, dashi, soy, sake, mirin and whatever good things you have hanging around come together in one pot. Mushrooms, seafood, dried fish, kombu, vegetables, pickles... the pot is remarkably forgiving. Want the full recipe? Check the link in my bio.

A lobster roll without the lobster-roll price tag? I’m listening. Grilled shrimp, lump crab meat, celery for crunch, chives, lemon, mayo, mustard and a little hot sauce. Seafood Salad doesn’t need much more than that The knife matters. My @ShunCutlery knife gives me the control to coarsely chop the shrimp, finely slice the chives and prep everything cleanly without turning that beautiful seafood into mush. Crab and shrimp for the win. Trust me on this one. Check out the link in my bio for the free recipe.

THIS IS NOT A GENERIC SPICY CHICKEN SALAD. Kǒushuǐ jī is a Sichuan classic, one of the great cold chicken dishes of the world. Gently poached chicken, chilled until it takes on that wonderful slippery texture, then covered in Sichuan chile oil, black vinegar, soy, sesame, peanuts and Sichuan peppercorns. Cool, hot, savory, sour, sweet, fragrant and numbing all at once. The name is usually translated as “mouthwatering chicken,” which sounds a little odd until you eat it. Then it feels remarkably precise. Want the recipe? Check out the link in my bio.

Stop pretending salads have to be virtuous. This one starts with crispy pork belly, then piles on lime, fish sauce, fresh herbs, toasted rice powder and enough heat to wake up every taste bud you've got. It's loud, unapologetic and exactly the kind of dish that reminds you why Thai food is one of the world's great cuisines. Want the recipe? Check out the link in my bio.

This is the sandwich I wait all year to make. When tomatoes are this good, just don’t screw them up. Slice them cleanly with a sharp @ShunCutlery knife... there are few things more satisfying than cutting a perfectly ripe tomato with the new Shiranami line. Season them properly and let them be the star. Want the recipe? Check the link in my bio.

What is Andrew Zimmern's engagement rate on X?
Andrew Zimmern (@andrewzimmern) has an engagement rate of 0.008%, based on the median interactions across 34 original posts from the last 30 days against 1,245,433 followers. Replies, reposts and quote-posts of other people are excluded from that sample.
Is that a good engagement rate?
At 0.008%, Andrew Zimmern sits above the 10th percentile of the 36,852 accounts in this comparison. Those comparison accounts are all large ones, because our scanning cadence is weighted towards big accounts, so this is a ranking among peers of similar scale rather than a ranking across X.
Does @andrewzimmern have real engagement?
Its engagement rate beats 32% of the tracked X accounts closest to it in follower count (3,809 accounts), which puts it in the middle of its size range group. Ranking inside a size band matters because engagement rate falls as accounts grow, so a raw rate would mostly re-measure the follower count. It is a starting point for a look at follower quality, not a verdict on it.
When does @andrewzimmern post?
Most posts go out around 22:00 UTC, and Thursday is its busiest day, at roughly 1.13 posts per day across the measured window.
