Engagement
Early reading. We have captured 2 original posts for this account, below the 8 we require before treating a median as settled. The numbers above describe what we have seen so far, not a finished profile of the account.
A typical post picks up 2.1K interactions against 81K followers, an engagement rate of 2.53%. Posts are seen about 99K times each, and 2.07% of those impressions turn into an interaction. That is about 122.4% of the follower count, which is the gap between an audience on paper and an audience in a timeline. Posting runs at about 0.07 posts a day over the last 30 days, though only 7% of days saw any activity at all. Most posts go out around 01:00 UTC, and Tuesday is the busiest day of the week. Of the 2 posts sampled, 50% carry an image or video and 50% link out. The account's strongest tracked post pulled 112K interactions, about 55x its own typical post. Only 2 original posts have been captured so far, fewer than the 8 posts we want behind a median before treating it as settled. Read the figures above as an early measurement of this account, not as a finished profile of it.

Formats this account uses
Its own posting mix on the left, and what each of those formats does across every account we track on the right. Only formats where the effect clears our publish test appear here, so an empty row is a format we could not measure rather than one that does nothing.
| Format | This account | Catalog effect | 95% interval | Accounts behind it |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Image or video | 50% of posts | +111% | +108% to +115% | 34K |
| Outbound link | 50% of posts | -41% | -42% to -40% | 32K |
| Typical length | - | +15% | +14% to +16% | 32K |
- 50% of this account's sampled posts carry an image or video. Across the catalog, posts with an image or video run 111% above the same accounts' other posts.
- 50% of its posts carry a link off X. Across the catalog, posts with an outbound link run 41% below the same accounts' other posts, so a large share of this account's output sits in the weakest bucket we measure.
- Its average post runs 1009 characters, which falls in the over 280 characters band. Across the catalog, posts over 280 characters run 15% above the same accounts' other posts.
These are catalog-wide differences applied to this account's own posting mix, not a measurement of how each format performs for this account specifically. We keep one median per account, not one per format per account, so the second thing is not something this data can tell you.

#METALSLUG #PixelArt #retrogaming

#MetalSlug

English translation below: 【The "Hairdryer" in R-TYPE】 In Stage 1 of the original R-TYPE, there is a strange object that looks like it is about to do something, and it almost looks like a hairdryer. In fact, that was a gimmick that ended up unfinished because we ran out of time. The planner ABIKO told me, "You can make Stage 1 however you like, including the boss," so I wanted to create a small highlight before the boss. As shown in the video, I wanted to have the scrolling stop when the hairdryer blocking your path appeared on screen, and then have the player endure for a certain amount of time. Basically, I wanted to do something like the famous "volcano" sequence in Gradius. As a Gradius freak, I felt that there should be a difficult section like that before the boss. But I was too busy to make it work, so it was left untouched and ended up becoming nothing more than a mysterious obstacle. #RType #GameDev #PixelArt

English below: The “Level Armor” used by the Morden Army in METAL SLUG 3 is actually an homage to the Armored Trooper (AT) from Armored Trooper VOTOMS. There is no advanced pilot authentication system built into it, so basically anyone can operate one. That’s why Marco and the others are able to take over abandoned units without much trouble. Scenes where characters seize enemy weapons and go on a rampage are a classic trope often seen in movies, and it was a situation I had always wanted to try using in one of my own games someday. The Level Armor’s standby pose, with its legs folded to make boarding and disembarking easier, is also the same idea used for ATs, so some of you may have been reminded of the Scopedog. I wanted this machine to have that cool, inorganic AT-like design, but whenever I draw it, it somehow ends up looking a bit goofy and cute instead. The stage itself is a Level Armor factory. Pick one up, steal it, and when it breaks, move on to the next. This rough, almost careless treatment of machines, this sense of disposable aesthetics, is really what takes center stage in this area. I also like the flow where the boss of a small robot factory turns out to be an antique, oversized robot. I did think about having Level Armors pour out of the boss’s body, almost like a “surprise mecha of the week,” but I stopped myself, feeling that making that boss any more vicious would have been too much. At the concept stage, I imagined much more intense battles over these machines. When your unit is falling apart, you ram it straight into an enemy Level Armor. At point-blank range, you eliminate only the pilot with a Vulcan cannon, then jump into the brand-new machine just before your own explodes. I was planning to make that dirty, desperate “steal to survive” action, very much like Chirico, the core of the gameplay. But perhaps my image didn’t come across very well, because it feels like that kind of “stealing” play never really came to the forefront. Or maybe that’s just how it looks to me. On top of that, I also thought it would have been interesting to place a wider variety of prototype units around the factory, such as close-combat types with a pile bunker on the right arm, and let players customize on the spot as they progressed. Looking back now, the climax of this stage feels a little underwhelming. The way the difficulty ramps up is somewhat vague, and I wish the level design had been bolder and more clearly defined. As it stands, the stage can be cleared quite smoothly even without stealing new machines. I can’t help but feel a bit of regret that we didn’t push further into that battle style of a “warrior who doesn’t value machines,” constantly swapping units as shields while forcing their way deeper into the factory against overwhelming numbers, letting players really savor that disposable, Chirico-like feeling. #METALSLUG #GameDev #PixelArt #RetroGaming #VOTOMS

[Unexpected Alliance] At the end of Metal Slug 2, the aliens, who appear to be cooperating with Morden’s Army, suddenly turn on them, capturing Morden with a tractor beam and attacking both forces. Faced with a common enemy, the two sides, who had been locked in a fierce battle just moments before, immediately join forces. The Regular Army and Morden’s Army launch a full-scale assault on the massive alien UFO, the “City Destroyer.” This storyline was a special idea I had been nurturing long before I took charge of planning for Metal Slug 2. It was something I had always hoped to bring to life. Because the game was built around three core pillars, including player transformations like becoming a mummy or turning “fat,” as well as the climactic alliance with Morden’s Army, I had no hesitation in taking the game’s tone in a bold new direction. When I first came up with these ideas, I was genuinely excited and convinced they would surprise fans of the series. Even now, I receive many comments saying, “This is the most emotional scene in the entire series!” I’m simply grateful for that response.
