Sonia Shenoy engagement report
@_soniashenoy - 289K followers on X
Measured over 18 original posts from a 30-day window, last computed on October 21, 2026.
Engagement
A typical post picks up 358 interactions against 289K followers, an engagement rate of 0.124%. Measured over 18 original posts, its engagement rate beats 63% of 21,185 tracked accounts of a similar size, which puts it in the middle of its size range rather than at either end. Posts are seen about 41K times each, and 0.872% of those impressions turn into an interaction. That is about 14.2% of the follower count, which is the gap between an audience on paper and an audience in a timeline. Posting runs at about 0.87 post a day over the last 30 days, with activity on roughly 50% of days. Most posts go out around 07:00 UTC, and Wednesday is the busiest day of the week. Of the 18 posts sampled, 44% carry an image or video, 39% are part of a thread and 6% link out. The account's strongest tracked post pulled 3.4K interactions, about 9.6x its own typical post.

Compared with accounts its own size
Sonia Shenoy's engagement rate beats 63% of the tracked X accounts closest to it in follower count (21,185 accounts, accounts of similar size (decile 9 of 10)). A percentile is spread evenly by construction, so 50 really is the middle of that group and 90 really is its top tenth.
On engagement per impression rather than per follower it beats 39% of the same group. When those two numbers disagree, the gap is about how far its posts travel rather than how people react to them.
Where this sits in the catalog
At 0.124%, Sonia Shenoy sits above the 25th percentile of the 213,004 accounts in this comparison. That places it in the below the median band, which runs 0.025% to 0.147%.

Formats this account uses
Its own posting mix on the left, and what each of those formats does across every account we track on the right. Only formats where the effect clears our publish test appear here, so an empty row is a format we could not measure rather than one that does nothing.
| Format | This account | Catalog effect | 95% interval | Accounts behind it |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Image or video | 44% of posts | +111% | +108% to +115% | 34K |
| Outbound link | 6% of posts | -41% | -42% to -40% | 32K |
| Typical length | - | +15% | +14% to +16% | 32K |
- 44% of this account's sampled posts carry an image or video. Across the catalog, posts with an image or video run 111% above the same accounts' other posts.
- 6% of its posts carry a link off X. Across the catalog, posts with an outbound link run 41% below the same accounts' other posts.
- Its average post runs 765 characters, which falls in the over 280 characters band. Across the catalog, posts over 280 characters run 15% above the same accounts' other posts.
These are catalog-wide differences applied to this account's own posting mix, not a measurement of how each format performs for this account specifically. We keep one median per account, not one per format per account, so the second thing is not something this data can tell you.

nifty now down 330 points ! It seems like a vicious cycle now, FII outflows and higher oil prices leading to a fall in the rupee and the fall in the rupee causing more FIIs to withdraw money yesterdays sell number is not small, over 6000cr we all know the main reasons for FII selling India , not enough participation in global growing themes like AI etc but the rupee fall is a fresh trigger for sure with the rupee now at 97 to the dollar, India is now even more unattractive as an investment destination to foreign investors and remember the rupee is close to all time lows despite the RBI spending 50 bln$ of its reserves to defend it the other big problem is taxation, which should be addressed to allay concerns for foreign investors what really matters end of the day is post tax post currency returns FIIs have to pay long term capital gains tax, transaction tax , in some cases dividend withholding tax while if you compare it to investing in US and China, a foreign portfolio investor pays zero tax thats a huge difference its a perfect storm so if india wants to attract real global capital into the country , it has to fix a lot of issues, the rupee , taxation , innovation and growth.

“You have to be an optimist if you want to own a business. otherwise you own a fixed deposit it is impossible to be in equities if you are not an optimist" “ in my 35 year career, i have been through many such rough weathers , equity investing is not a linear smooth 45 degree angle" My chat with @rndx1 of Morgan Stanley was raw, unfiltered andinsightful I asked him about his perma bull status, his world view, how he looks at AI impacting jobs , what happens once the demographic dividend fades and how does he wade through long periods of consolidation in the markets. If you are someone who enjoys philosophy, the last 20 minutes will interest you the most. Thank you Ridham for your time and wisdom. @MorganStanley The full episode is out now on The Money Mindset. Congratulations to my friend and market wizard Vikas Khemani on the launch of his Mutual fund business, Carnellian Mutual fund. @vikaskhemani @carnelian_asset I sat down with him to understand why he launched a Small Cap fund first. His philosophy for starting with a small cap fund is simple: There is tremendous growth outside the index and all the growth within manufacturing , infra, financials is happening in smaller companies . He plans to cap the AUM at 5000cr in the small cap fund so it stays nimble and focussed Vikas is a die hard optimist and if you know Vikas you would agree that his optimism is infectious , sure he gets a lot of flak for that too 😆 but what you love about Vikas is he doesn't care about his nay sayers, he continues to put his head down and do the work. Not many know that Vikas also has a deep spiritual bent of mind and whenever I meet him, I try to extract some advice that can stay with me :D This time he told me, Sonia my biggest lesson in life is "Never focus on the output, its beyond your control anyway, you have to move from an output focussed approach to an input focussed approach in every area of your life and watch your life change" its a simple, easy practise but we almost always forget . Congratulations to Carnellian Mutual fund entire team for the launch! cant wait to see you do bigger and better things. Full episode out soon on The Money Mindset ! ✨

The sensex has now lost almost 3000 points in the last 5 days ! Most of us have watched this scary movie before. The worst but easiest thing to do in any market crash is sell your portfolio in panic. It is a very big behavioural bias that is led by one of the strongest emotions in investing: Loss Aversion Psychologically , the pain of losing money hurts twice as much as the joy of making the same amount 😅 it is loss aversion which causes impulsive decisions and that comes in the way of the wealth creation journey . we saw it play out in 2008, 2015 and 2020 There is also recency bias, which I definitely suffer from As an Investor, I have always given way too much weight to recent events, assuming that a market dropping today will keep crashing forever tomorrow. But learnt it the hard way that while panic causes very painful drawdowns in your portfolio, history has taught me that the long term trajectory of the market has always broken through to new highs. The only thing to do now is to diversify your portfolio if you haven't already. Asset allocation is the only way to get out of most market drawdowns. Diversifying assets into domestic equities, international equities, gold and debt is the only way to keep your portfolio hedged.

- What is Sonia Shenoy's engagement rate on X?
- Sonia Shenoy (@_soniashenoy) has an engagement rate of 0.124%, based on the median interactions across 18 original posts from the last 30 days against 289,250 followers. Replies, reposts and quote-posts of other people are excluded from that sample.
- Is that a good engagement rate?
- At 0.124%, Sonia Shenoy sits above the 25th percentile of the 213,004 accounts in this comparison. Those comparison accounts are all large ones, because our scanning cadence is weighted towards big accounts, so this is a ranking among peers of similar scale rather than a ranking across X.
- Does @_soniashenoy have real engagement?
- Its engagement rate beats 63% of the tracked X accounts closest to it in follower count (21,185 accounts), which puts it in the middle of its size range group. Ranking inside a size band matters because engagement rate falls as accounts grow, so a raw rate would mostly re-measure the follower count. It is a starting point for a look at follower quality, not a verdict on it.
- When does @_soniashenoy post?
- Most posts go out around 07:00 UTC, and Wednesday is its busiest day, at roughly 0.87 posts per day across the measured window.
