Letโs give credit where credit is due. Dr. Bayo Ojulari, @BBOjulari, is changing NNPCL in ways Nigerians should pay attention to. An organisation that was for years associated with opacity, bureaucracy and questions around accountability is gradually becoming more transparent, commercially driven and focused on profitability. This is not just about changing policies or making noise. It is about building systems, cutting waste, improving efficiency and making NNPCL operate like the commercially driven energy company it was meant to be. And the beautiful thing is that the results are beginning to show. Dr. Ojulari deserves commendation for bringing a different mindset to the leadership of NNPCL. Nigerian tycoon Kola Karim lands $500 million from Qatar to double oil production! Kola Karim has secured a $500 million Islamic financing package arranged by Qatar Islamic Bank to fund a drilling programme meant to lift output from one of Nigeria's largest onshore oil blocks above 100,000 barrels a day by the end of 2027, The money goes into OML 30 in the Niger Delta, held by Shoreline Natural Resources, the upstream arm of Karim's group.
