A typical post picks up 123 interactions against 442K followers, an engagement rate of 0.028%. Measured over 19 original posts, its engagement rate beats 46% of 3,792 tracked accounts of a similar size, which puts it in the middle of its size range rather than at either end. Posts are seen about 4.3K times each, and 2.83% of those impressions turn into an interaction. That is about 0.983% of the follower count, which is the gap between an audience on paper and an audience in a timeline. Posting runs at about 0.67 post a day over the last 30 days, though only 40% of days saw any activity at all. Most posts go out around 10:00 UTC, and Wednesday is the busiest day of the week. Of the 19 posts sampled, 53% carry an image or video and 53% link out. The account's strongest tracked post pulled 4.2K interactions, about 35x its own typical post.

Measured over 19 original posts from a 30-day window, last computed on August 29, 2026.

Compared with accounts its own size

Arseniy Yatsenyuk's engagement rate beats 46% of the tracked X accounts closest to it in follower count (3,792 accounts, accounts of similar size (decile 7 of 10)). A percentile is spread evenly by construction, so 50 really is the middle of that group and 90 really is its top tenth.

On engagement per impression rather than per follower it beats 79% of the same group. When those two numbers disagree, the gap is about how far its posts travel rather than how people react to them.

Where this sits in the catalog

At 0.028%, Arseniy Yatsenyuk sits above the 25th percentile of the 36,654 accounts in this comparison. That places it in the below the median band, which runs 0.012% to 0.08%.

WATCH: I sat down with Arseniy Yatsenyuk @yatsenyuk_AP, the man who was Prime Minister of Ukraine when Russia seized Crimea and lit the fuse on the Russia-Ukraine war in 2014. He led Ukraine through revolution, invasion, and economic collapse — and he has receipts on every lie the Kremlin has told about Ukraine since. We talked about what Washington still gets wrong about the war, what Moscow fears most, and what it will actually take to end this war on terms that don’t reward Vladimir Putin and Russian aggression. Watch the full interview here:

Putin has ballistic missiles. We have none. Putin has hypersonic missiles. We have none. Putin has cruise missiles. We have virtually none. Putin has jet-powered drones. Ours are still under development. Today, Russian killers launched 24 ballistic missiles. Last month, intercepting 127 ballistic and hypersonic missiles required 254 Patriot interceptors (or at the very least, 127). And that was in just one month, at a time when the United States has only about 800 Patriot interceptors remaining. Annual production is only 650. The arithmetic is simple—and grim: Ukraine needs at least 1,500 Patriot interceptors a year. As things stand today, that is simply unrealistic. What is realistic is Tomahawk missiles, Ukrainian and partner-supplied ballistic missiles, jet-powered drones, other available air-defence capabilities, and an urgent increase in Patriot interceptor production. Putin will continue to destroy logistics hubs, warehouses, transport networks, fuel stations, and industry. This winter, he will target the power grid, water supply, and sewage systems. Putin will continue to kill Ukrainians. We need weapons capable of striking legitimate military targets inside Russia. Not to mention the issue of satellite constellation Russia is deploying as its own version of Starlink.

A Russian Oligarch as a Harbinger of Change @TheEconomist, a publication I have valued for decades, has published an article by Russian oligarch Andrey Melnichenko, featuring his photograph on the cover under the headline: “The Man Who Would Change Russia.” Why Melnichenko himself wanted to give this interview—and why he spent 60 hours talking to journalist Arkady Ostrovsky—is perfectly clear to me. A sanctioned billionaire from the Putin era, a quantum physicist by training, who, like everyone else in Russia, made his fortune by exploiting natural resources rather than by developing Russian artificial intelligence or a quantum computer, has been given a platform in one of the world’s leading publications—a platform that money alone could never buy—to present himself as the voice of reason. He expresses concern about Russia’s future and outlines four possible scenarios: Russia descends into chaos, becomes a vassal of the West, becomes a vassal of China, or turns into another North Korea. Like Putin, he argues that Russia needs sovereignty, although perhaps with different nuances. It is The Economist’s business whom it chooses to put on its cover and what headlines it decides to publish. It is my business, as a reader, to express my opinion about what I have read. The interviewee himself interests me very little, except for the fact that his mother is Ukrainian and that he spent two decades living in Switzerland, paying only brief visits to Russia between voyages on his expensive superyacht. What disappointed me was the publication of this article, as well as its lively discussion with the Editor-in-Chief @zannymb on The Insider podcast. Disappointed—not angered or shocked. No Melnichenko is going to bring change to Russia. That should be obvious to everyone. A symptomatic voice offering observations that are already obvious to everyone should not be mistaken for some kind of breakthrough. What disappointed me most was that the article contains not the slightest reference to Russia’s horrific and unjust war, to the suffering of millions, to the blood that has been shed, to the lives that have been lost, or to countless human tragedies. There is nothing about values. Nothing about humanity. Not the slightest trace of remorse. The fact that there is not a single critical word about Putin is, at least, understandable. He is afraid. And, in any case, it is difficult to imagine that such an interview could have been given without some form of permission. What also disappointed me was the continuing failure to understand Russia and Russian society. As someone with practical experience in the world of realpolitik, I will say just one thing: amorality and cynicism ultimately destroy individuals, nations, and states. Do not legitimize them. P.S. @olliecarroll Oliver Carroll, I fully share your take.

On the “medals starfall.” I am against Ukrainians renouncing the medals that Poland, as a state, has awarded them for their merits. We cannot correct one harmful and misguided decision by the current President of Poland with other misguided decisions of our own. A crisis is always an opportunity. If things continue this way, moscow and radical forces in Europe will take advantage of such crisis. I think the President of Ukraine should travel to Gdańsk and deliver a speech there that echoes the words of John Paul II. There, he should propose a broad and joint dialogue at both the central government and community levels. He should bring with him not only historians, but also military personnel, artists, entrepreneurs, and journalists. He should say that we understand the historical pain of our peoples, and that the best way to overcome the discord of the past is to unite for the sake of the future. We should invite the Polish intellectuals, business leaders, artists, and influential figures from both sides of the political spectrum to participate in this dialogue. This should not be a spontaneous statement, but a well-prepared project developed behind closed doors. We must keep a cool head. The fate of Ukraine, Poland, and Europe is at stake.

Reading these numbers

What is Arseniy Yatsenyuk's engagement rate on X?
Arseniy Yatsenyuk (@Yatsenyuk_AP) has an engagement rate of 0.028%, based on the median interactions across 19 original posts from the last 30 days against 442,429 followers. Replies, reposts and quote-posts of other people are excluded from that sample.
Is that a good engagement rate?
At 0.028%, Arseniy Yatsenyuk sits above the 25th percentile of the 36,654 accounts in this comparison. Those comparison accounts are all large ones, because our scanning cadence is weighted towards big accounts, so this is a ranking among peers of similar scale rather than a ranking across X.
Does @Yatsenyuk_AP have real engagement?
Its engagement rate beats 46% of the tracked X accounts closest to it in follower count (3,792 accounts), which puts it in the middle of its size range group. Ranking inside a size band matters because engagement rate falls as accounts grow, so a raw rate would mostly re-measure the follower count. It is a starting point for a look at follower quality, not a verdict on it.
When does @Yatsenyuk_AP post?
Most posts go out around 10:00 UTC, and Wednesday is its busiest day, at roughly 0.67 posts per day across the measured window.
