Winnie Byanyima engagement report
@Winnie_Byanyima - 338K followers on X
Measured over 16 original posts from a 30-day window, last computed on October 9, 2026.
Engagement
A typical post picks up 56 interactions against 338K followers, an engagement rate of 0.017%. Measured over 16 original posts, its engagement rate beats 41% of 21,624 tracked accounts of a similar size, which puts it in the middle of its size range rather than at either end. Posts are seen about 10K times each, and 0.549% of those impressions turn into an interaction. That is about 3.04% of the follower count, which is the gap between an audience on paper and an audience in a timeline. Posting runs at about 3.1 posts a day over the last 30 days, though only 33% of days saw any activity at all. Most posts go out around 04:00 UTC, and Thursday is the busiest day of the week. Of the 16 posts sampled, 69% carry an image or video and 56% link out. The account's strongest tracked post pulled 12K interactions, about 210x its own typical post. Recurring topics include #whs2026, #uhc, #bahamas.

Compared with accounts its own size
Winnie Byanyima's engagement rate beats 41% of the tracked X accounts closest to it in follower count (21,624 accounts, accounts of similar size (decile 10 of 10)). A percentile is spread evenly by construction, so 50 really is the middle of that group and 90 really is its top tenth.
On engagement per impression rather than per follower it beats 32% of the same group. When those two numbers disagree, the gap is about how far its posts travel rather than how people react to them.
Where this sits in the catalog
At 0.017%, Winnie Byanyima sits above the 10th percentile of the 218,393 accounts in this comparison. That places it in the bottom 25% band, which runs below 0.025%.

Posting timing
This account posts most often around 04:00 UTC, and Thursday is its busiest day of the week. The bars below are the catalog-wide pattern, with this account's own busiest slot marked. They do not show how this account performs at each hour: we keep one aggregate per account, not one per hour, so that measurement does not exist in our data.

Formats this account uses
Its own posting mix on the left, and what each of those formats does across every account we track on the right. Only formats where the effect clears our publish test appear here, so an empty row is a format we could not measure rather than one that does nothing.
| Format | This account | Catalog effect | 95% interval | Accounts behind it |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Image or video | 69% of posts | +111% | +108% to +115% | 34K |
| Outbound link | 56% of posts | -41% | -42% to -40% | 32K |
| Typical length | - | no effect | -2% to -1% | 42K |
- 69% of this account's sampled posts carry an image or video. Across the catalog, posts with an image or video run 111% above the same accounts' other posts.
- 56% of its posts carry a link off X. Across the catalog, posts with an outbound link run 41% below the same accounts' other posts, so a large share of this account's output sits in the weakest bucket we measure.
- Its average post runs 278 characters, which falls in the 180 - 280 characters band. Across the catalog, posts of 180 to 280 characters match the same accounts' other posts almost exactly.
These are catalog-wide differences applied to this account's own posting mix, not a measurement of how each format performs for this account specifically. We keep one median per account, not one per format per account, so the second thing is not something this data can tell you.

Baguma Richard — Rwatooro — has passed away this evening. One of his friends called me crying to break the news. I had spoken to him only yesterday, through another friend who was hosting him in Fort Portal; he had lost the password to his number. He seemed to be on the road to recovery. We joked and laughed. Rwatooro was joyous and optimistic. A mega heart. Boundless energy. Things of death are painful, random and arbitrary. You cannot make sense of them. I am speechless. Sad. But I am also grateful I knew such a beautiful soul. God bless his soul. Baguma was a tireless campaigner for social justice, a healthy environment and good governance.

The face of HIV in Africa is too often that of an adolescent girl. Last year, 3,000 adolescent girls and young women (aged 15–24 yrs) became infected with HIV in sub-Saharan Africa every week. Keeping girls in school helps protect them from HIV, gender-based violence and early marriage — yet tens of millions of adolescent girls are out of school in Africa. Ensuring girls can stay in school is crucial. Education is a right, an equaliser of opportunities, and it empowers girls for better life outcomes. Africa needs its youth in school to end AIDS. #InternationalYouthDay #YouthDay

Has the State resorted to eating its own children? Where are our People? @ODPPUGANDA @PoliceUg @MODVA_UPDF A citizen is taken in broad daylight by armed, plain-clothed men. Their family, a hotel, a market, a busload of passengers all bear witness. The state says, "we do not have him" while the country’s chief of defense forces boasts about having one of them and promising to break his legs. Sam Mugumya was abducted from a hotel in Nyamitanga on 26 August 2025, and over a year later the UPDF has told the High Court it does not hold him. John Bosco Ddamulira was taken from his shop in 2020, and his wife Sarah died this year still searching for him. Behind every name is a family still owed an answer, and a state still refusing to give one. Under the Constitution, an arrested person must be held in a gazetted place of detention, with access to a lawyer, doctor and next of kin. Every day a Ugandan stays missing is another day the state chooses impunity over the Constitution. We refuse to be diverted and silenced as we demand for the whereabouts of our people. Produce them before the relevant courts, obey court orders for habeas corpus and or release them. #FreeAllPoliticalPrisonersUg #EndEnforcedDisappearancesUg

Globally, new HIV infections fell by 42% since 2010. The progress is even greater in countries like Benin, Eswatini, Kenya, Lesotho, Nepal, Rwanda and Zimbabwe, where new HIV infections reduced by at least 78%, placing them on track towards the goal of a 90% reduction by 2030. https://t.co/BOnCnKBUSc

- What is Winnie Byanyima's engagement rate on X?
- Winnie Byanyima (@Winnie_Byanyima) has an engagement rate of 0.017%, based on the median interactions across 16 original posts from the last 30 days against 338,157 followers. Replies, reposts and quote-posts of other people are excluded from that sample.
- Is that a good engagement rate?
- At 0.017%, Winnie Byanyima sits above the 10th percentile of the 218,393 accounts in this comparison. Those comparison accounts are all large ones, because our scanning cadence is weighted towards big accounts, so this is a ranking among peers of similar scale rather than a ranking across X.
- Does @Winnie_Byanyima have real engagement?
- Its engagement rate beats 41% of the tracked X accounts closest to it in follower count (21,624 accounts), which puts it in the middle of its size range group. Ranking inside a size band matters because engagement rate falls as accounts grow, so a raw rate would mostly re-measure the follower count. It is a starting point for a look at follower quality, not a verdict on it.
- When does @Winnie_Byanyima post?
- Most posts go out around 04:00 UTC, and Thursday is its busiest day, at roughly 3.13 posts per day across the measured window.
