Pakistan and Kuwait signed an agreement on Thursday expanding military cooperation, with Islamabad to provide training, capacity building and border-management assistance to the Gulf state as regional security ties deepen amid the prolonged conflict involving Iran, Arab News reported.. The new protocol builds on a 2023 defense cooperation agreement between the two countries and comes weeks after Kuwait ratified that pact and Pakistan joined Saudi Arabia and Türkiye in a separate mutual defense agreement against a backdrop of heightened Middle East tensions. Field Marshal Asim Munir today.. He was visiting Pakistan’s largest defence industrial complex, Pakistan Ordinance Factory (POF) in Wah. According to ISPR, COAS & CDF was presented with an overview on progress of the corporatization process following the enactment of the DIPRA Ordinance. The Field Marshal was also apprised about the ongoing indigenisation and upgradation efforts through the installation of two new industrial plants, which are likely to commence production by the end of current year. The visit underscored the military’s commitment to advancing self-reliance, indigenous production and technological innovation in Pakistan’s defence sector.
