Vickie Remoe engagement report
@VickieRemoe - 102K followers on X
Measured over 30 original posts from a 30-day window, last computed on October 15, 2026.
Engagement
A typical post picks up 22 interactions against 102K followers, an engagement rate of 0.021%. Measured over 30 original posts, its engagement rate beats 26% of 20,444 tracked accounts of a similar size, which puts it in the middle of its size range rather than at either end. Posts are seen about 2.2K times each, and 0.993% of those impressions turn into an interaction. That is about 2.12% of the follower count, which is the gap between an audience on paper and an audience in a timeline. Posting runs at about 1.7 posts a day over the last 30 days, with activity on roughly 63% of days. Most posts go out around 11:00 UTC, and Thursday is the busiest day of the week. Of the 30 posts sampled, 70% carry an image or video, 13% are part of a thread and 10% link out. The account's strongest tracked post pulled 3.3K interactions, about 150x its own typical post. Recurring topics include #sierraleone, #diasporaweek, #breakingnews.

Compared with accounts its own size
Vickie Remoe's engagement rate beats 26% of the tracked X accounts closest to it in follower count (20,444 accounts, accounts of similar size (decile 7 of 10)). A percentile is spread evenly by construction, so 50 really is the middle of that group and 90 really is its top tenth.
On engagement per impression rather than per follower it beats 41% of the same group. When those two numbers disagree, the gap is about how far its posts travel rather than how people react to them.
Where this sits in the catalog
At 0.021%, Vickie Remoe sits above the 10th percentile of the 205,048 accounts in this comparison. That places it in the bottom 25% band, which runs below 0.024%.

Formats this account uses
Its own posting mix on the left, and what each of those formats does across every account we track on the right. Only formats where the effect clears our publish test appear here, so an empty row is a format we could not measure rather than one that does nothing.
| Format | This account | Catalog effect | 95% interval | Accounts behind it |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Image or video | 70% of posts | +111% | +108% to +115% | 34K |
| Outbound link | 10% of posts | -41% | -42% to -40% | 32K |
| Typical length | - | +15% | +14% to +16% | 32K |
- 70% of this account's sampled posts carry an image or video. Across the catalog, posts with an image or video run 111% above the same accounts' other posts.
- 10% of its posts carry a link off X. Across the catalog, posts with an outbound link run 41% below the same accounts' other posts.
- Its average post runs 364 characters, which falls in the over 280 characters band. Across the catalog, posts over 280 characters run 15% above the same accounts' other posts.
These are catalog-wide differences applied to this account's own posting mix, not a measurement of how each format performs for this account specifically. We keep one median per account, not one per format per account, so the second thing is not something this data can tell you.

Broadway now has its first play set entirely in Ghana. Jocelyn Bioh’s School Girls; Or, The African Mean Girls Play begins its official Broadway run at Manhattan Theatre Club on September 28, following previews that started September 8. Set in 1986 at Aburi Girls’ Boarding School, the comedy uses a Miss Ghana pageant to examine colorism, Western beauty standards, class, and adolescent identity. The limited engagement runs at the Samuel J. Friedman Theatre through November 1

Healthcare is increasingly becoming a data-driven field, yet many of the opportunities to use data to improve health systems remain underdeveloped in Sierra Leone and across much of Africa. Alhamdulillah, I’m grateful to be pursuing an MSc in Health Data Science at the University of St Andrews through the Commonwealth Scholarship. The programme sits at the intersection of healthcare and data science, with training in health data analysis, machine learning, biomedical imaging, and digital health. I’m super excited to learn how these modules can be applied to real-world healthcare challenges, while also understanding the governance and ethical considerations around health data. This opportunity aligns closely with the work I have already been doing in health informatics, AI, and evidence systems, and with my long-term goal of contributing to stronger, data-driven health systems in Sierra Leone. I hope to bring the knowledge and skills I gain back to the work we are already doing at IfD and help build solutions relevant to our context. None of this would be possible without the guidance and support of some incredible people. A lot of thanks and gratitude to @dsengeh and @BPbannerman for their continued mentorship, support and belief in me over the years. I can proudly say they’re the best mentors in the world. Massive thanks to my boss @Mdyillah and the entire team at @ifd_sl . Regina has consistently pushed me to grow, challenged me to think bigger and supported my development. I remain incredibly grateful to have a boss who genuinely wants to see her staff succeed. Special thanks to my former lecturers @OkraforNelson, @Tommykomba and @FrancisFmanna, and to @MGM_BLVCK and @FulaFeminist, both Chevening alumni, for their guidance and encouragement at different points along the way. And, of course, to the homies and day ones who have continued to be in my corner. This journey has taken longer and been more complicated than I imagined, but Alhamdulillah, I’m grateful for the opportunity to pursue this path. From my early interest in Bioinformatics and Biomedical Engineering to where I am today, the goal has always been to use technology, and science to solve problems that matter. I’m excited for this next chapter at St Andrews and for what lies ahead.

The Guardian’s article wasn't just badly written…it’s blackmail. It bothers me that so many people in the diaspora can’t see what it is and are falling for the usual trope. Obviously, the Dutch are trying to force the government to capitulate because their usual approach hasn't worked. They don’t want to spend the resources or risk sending their special forces to get their drug lord. Instead, we get a shoddy attempt at national blackmail. Trying to create a single narrative about Sierra Leone by labeling us the “first true narco-state” is a laughable label at best. A country that doesn’t even produce drugs is the "first true narco-state"? Komot! Is there a problem with Ngor Jos using Salone as a transshipment hub? Absolutely! If the Dutch want their man, duya una kam collect am. But any Sierra Leonean who allows the Dutch or their agents passing as journalists in the Guardian and elsewhere to own the narrative on Sierra Leone is a traitor to Salone. So many of y’all did not read Walter Rodney, and it shows. Or even an easy read like Confessions of an Economic Hitman. First Narco State my foot!

I won’t let her rewrite her story. Every morning I greet mommy she hypes me up. Nothing but compliments. But yesterday she went as far to say “I don’t know where you get this cuteness from…” I refused to let her continue because I know where she was and what she was doing and how she was looking. This woman was a bad girl, a big bum bum diplomatic baddie and I refuse to let her play in my face.

Today in Freetown: Cody’s and cocaine bibles As news of The Economist’s exposé on Jos spread yesterday, much of Freetown’s social media remained quiet. Facebook and TikTok were still on Makeni’s Princess Diana and rap beefs, but for Freetown’s elites, all focus was on getting behind The Economist’s paywall. The article, "He was one of the world’s most wanted men. So he bought a West African country: How Jos Leijdekkers turned Sierra Leone into a drug-dealer’s paradise" details extensively the start, rise, and explosion of Umar Sheriff, birth name Josef. For the first time, we learn how Dutch officials confirmed that it was indeed Jos who was in that now-infamous New Year’s church service video posted on Facebook by his step-mother-in-law. Someone who used to work for di first daughter e pikin e papa flipped.

Reading these numbers
- What is Vickie Remoe's engagement rate on X?
- Vickie Remoe (@VickieRemoe) has an engagement rate of 0.021%, based on the median interactions across 30 original posts from the last 30 days against 102,231 followers. Replies, reposts and quote-posts of other people are excluded from that sample.
- Is that a good engagement rate?
- At 0.021%, Vickie Remoe sits above the 10th percentile of the 205,048 accounts in this comparison. Those comparison accounts are all large ones, because our scanning cadence is weighted towards big accounts, so this is a ranking among peers of similar scale rather than a ranking across X.
- Does @VickieRemoe have real engagement?
- Its engagement rate beats 26% of the tracked X accounts closest to it in follower count (20,444 accounts), which puts it in the middle of its size range group. Ranking inside a size band matters because engagement rate falls as accounts grow, so a raw rate would mostly re-measure the follower count. It is a starting point for a look at follower quality, not a verdict on it.
- When does @VickieRemoe post?
- Most posts go out around 11:00 UTC, and Thursday is its busiest day, at roughly 1.7 posts per day across the measured window.
