A typical post picks up 2 interactions against 74K followers, an engagement rate of 0.003%. Measured over 8 original posts, its engagement rate beats 9% of 20,444 tracked accounts of a similar size. That is a reason to look at how the audience behaves - reply depth, saves, whether the followers are recent - rather than a conclusion about it on its own. Posts are seen about 617 times each, and 0.405% of those impressions turn into an interaction. That is about 0.828% of the follower count, which is the gap between an audience on paper and an audience in a timeline. Posting runs at about 0.5 post a day over the last 30 days, though only 13% of days saw any activity at all. Most posts go out around 10:00 UTC, and Tuesday is the busiest day of the week. Of the 8 posts sampled, 75% carry an image or video and 25% are part of a thread. The account's strongest tracked post pulled 26 interactions, about 13x its own typical post.

Compared with accounts its own size

UN in Libya 🇺🇳🇱🇾's engagement rate beats 9% of the tracked X accounts closest to it in follower count (20,444 accounts, accounts of similar size (decile 6 of 10)). A percentile is spread evenly by construction, so 50 really is the middle of that group and 90 really is its top tenth.

On engagement per impression rather than per follower it beats 19% of the same group. When those two numbers disagree, the gap is about how far its posts travel rather than how people react to them.

Where this sits in the catalog

At 0.003%, UN in Libya 🇺🇳🇱🇾 sits below the 10th percentile of the 205,048 accounts in this comparison. That places it in the bottom 25% band, which runs below 0.024%.

The United Nations in Libya strongly condemns the repeated incidents that occurred this morning on the premises of the service centre managed by one of the UN agencies in Tripoli. The UN acknowledges the actions taken by relevant authorities to respond to the incidents and investigate the circumstances of the deeply aggressive acts against staff and the people accessing humanitarian services of the centre. Such incidents must not be repeated. We call for reliance on verified information to guide public discourse and remain committed to engaging constructively and working closely with Libyan authorities and communities.

On Sunday, DSRSG/RC @UlrikaR_UN , accompanied by representatives of @UNDPLibya , @UnicefLibya , @UNSMILibya and @WHOLIBYA , visited Al Kufra to engage with local authorities on how to better respond to the pressing development challenges facing southeastern Libya, compounded by the humanitarian consequences of the conflict in Sudan. In meetings with the Mayors of Al Kufra and Al Juf Al Gharbi and municipal authorities, discussions focused on persistent gaps in healthcare, education, water and electricity services, and the additional pressures arising from the arrival of Sudanese families fleeing the war. Richardson commended the solidarity of local communities, while recognizing that their longstanding development needs deserve greater attention and sustained investment. The newly created UN-convened Municipal Coordination Group aims to better align international assistance with priorities identified by local authorities.

Three years after the devastating floods in Derna and other parts of northeastern Libya, the pain of that night remains deeply felt. Today, we honour the memory of the thousands of men, women and children who lost their lives. We stand with their families in their grief. We stand with those who still search for loved ones and seeking answers and a body to bury. Since this devastating tragedy, Derna has witnessed significant reconstruction and the determination of its people to rebuild their city and look to the future with hope. Yet important priorities remain, including addressing the cases of missing persons, supporting affected families, restoring livelihoods and services, and ensuring that recovery is inclusive, resilient and sustainable. The United Nations in Libya remains committed to working with national and local partners as well as the communities as recovery continues, while keeping the needs and rights of those affected at the heart of the response.

Last Thursday, DSRSG/RC @UlrikaR_UN met with Chairman of the Libyan Audit Bureau Khaled Shakshak to discuss follow-up to the joint Audit Bureau–National Anti-Corruption Commission reports on fuel subsidies and the pharmaceutical sector, focusing on how to translate their findings and recommendations into concrete action and positive impact on rule of law. While publishing findings is an important first step, both agreed that meaningful change requires sustained follow-up and coordinated action by relevant government institutions and international partners. The meeting also noted the convergence of concerns identified not only through the UN facilitated structured dialogue but also through Libyan oversight mechanisms and international reporting, reinforcing the urgency of addressing systemic weaknesses that enable the misuse of public resources. Both sides underscored the importance of clearly communicating the findings and their implications to the public, while maintaining momentum for concrete action in critical sectors, including oil and pharmaceuticals. The UN reaffirmed its readiness to support stronger coordination and technical engagement for the implementation of the recommendations, helping relevant institutions translate facts and evidence into concrete measures that protect Libya’s national wealth and deliver greater benefits for Libyans across the country.

Yesterday in Tripoli, UN Deputy Special Representative of the Secretary-General and Resident Coordinator @UlrikaR_UN joined the International Labour Organization and the Ministry of Planning at a workshop to review Libya’s Inclusive Entrepreneurship Ecosystem Assessment. The workshop brought together government institutions, businesses, banks, universities, entrepreneurs and development partners to review the findings and identify practical steps to make it easier for businesses to start, grow and create jobs. The assessment looks at the challenges facing entrepreneurs and small and medium-sized businesses in Libya, particularly access to finance, business support and the skills people need to start and grow a business. The findings will help inform national efforts to create more opportunities for entrepreneurs, expand decent jobs for men, women and youth alike and support a more diverse and sustainable Libyan economy. @ilo @UNDPLibya @WFP

On Sunday, DSRSG/RC @UlrikaR_UN , together with representatives of @UNDPLibya , @UNODC , @UNSMILibya and @WHOLIBYA , met with the joint committee of the National Audit Bureau and the National Anti-Corruption Committee to discuss immediate measures and longer-term reforms to address challenges in Libya’s fuel subsidy and pharmaceutical supply systems. The fuel subsidies discussion highlighted how the current system strains public finances while creating opportunities for concerning levels of diversion and smuggling. The parties discussed the urgency of robust monitoring and transparency to protect Libya’s resources, ensure public spending benefits Libyan citizens across the country and to hold those who exploit the system accountable. Today, those who pay the heaviest price are the Libyan households. The discussion on medicines focused on how fragmented planning, weak adherence to procurement principles and lack of oversight consume scarce resources without ensuring patients receive the medicines they need. Better coordination between responsible institutions, robust planning based on actual health needs, increased use of digital tracking tools and stronger oversight will help ensure that public spending delivers safe, quality medicines to patients. Participants stressed that effective reform requires coherence and improved coordinated action across Libya’s institutions. The joint NAB-NACC recommendations, which align closely with those of the Structured Dialogue’s economic track, provide practical sector-specific pathways for moving from analysis to implementation. Libyan authorities across the country must work together to protect national wealth, ease fiscal pressures and deliver better services to people across the country. The United Nations, in coordination with international partners, stands ready to strengthen political and technical support.

Reading these numbers

A typical post picks up 2 interactions against 74K followers, an engagement rate of 0.003%. Measured over 8 original posts, its engagement rate beats 9% of 20,444 tracked accounts of a similar size. That is a reason to look at how the audience behaves - reply depth, saves, whether the followers are recent - rather than a conclusion about it on its own. Posts are seen about 617 times each, and 0.405% of those impressions turn into an interaction. That is about 0.828% of the follower count, which is the gap between an audience on paper and an audience in a timeline. What is UN in Libya 🇺🇳🇱🇾's engagement rate on X?
UN in Libya 🇺🇳🇱🇾 (@UNinLibya) has an engagement rate of 0.003%, based on the median interactions across 8 original posts from the last 30 days against 74,490 followers. Replies, reposts and quote-posts of other people are excluded from that sample.
Is that a good engagement rate?
At 0.003%, UN in Libya 🇺🇳🇱🇾 sits below the 10th percentile of the 205,048 accounts in this comparison. Those comparison accounts are all large ones, because our scanning cadence is weighted towards big accounts, so this is a ranking among peers of similar scale rather than a ranking across X.
Does @UNinLibya have real engagement?
Its engagement rate beats 9% of the tracked X accounts closest to it in follower count (20,444 accounts), which puts it in the bottom 10% for its size group. Ranking inside a size band matters because engagement rate falls as accounts grow, so a raw rate would mostly re-measure the follower count. It is a starting point for a look at follower quality, not a verdict on it.
When does @UNinLibya post?
Most posts go out around 10:00 UTC, and Tuesday is its busiest day, at roughly 0.5 posts per day across the measured window.
