A typical post picks up 5 interactions against 755K followers, an engagement rate of 0.001%. Measured over 99 original posts, its engagement rate beats 9% of 21,185 tracked accounts of a similar size. That is a reason to look at how the audience behaves - reply depth, saves, whether the followers are recent - rather than a conclusion about it on its own. Posts are seen about 2.3K times each, and 0.215% of those impressions turn into an interaction. That is about 0.308% of the follower count, which is the gap between an audience on paper and an audience in a timeline. Posting runs at about 4.3 posts a day over the last 30 days, though only 33% of days saw any activity at all. Most posts go out around 07:00 UTC, and Monday is the busiest day of the week. Of the 99 posts sampled, 57% carry an image or video, 7% are part of a thread and 89% link out. The account's strongest tracked post pulled 1.3K interactions, about 259x its own typical post. Recurring topics include #webqoof, #india, #delhi.

Compared with accounts its own size

The Quint's engagement rate beats 9% of the tracked X accounts closest to it in follower count (21,185 accounts, accounts of similar size (decile 10 of 10)). A percentile is spread evenly by construction, so 50 really is the middle of that group and 90 really is its top tenth.

On engagement per impression rather than per follower it beats 15% of the same group. When those two numbers disagree, the gap is about how far its posts travel rather than how people react to them.

Where this sits in the catalog

At 0.001%, The Quint sits below the 10th percentile of the 213,472 accounts in this comparison. That places it in the bottom 25% band, which runs below 0.025%.

Formats this account uses

Its own posting mix on the left, and what each of those formats does across every account we track on the right. Only formats where the effect clears our publish test appear here, so an empty row is a format we could not measure rather than one that does nothing.

This account's posting mix compared with catalog-wide effects

  • 57% of this account's sampled posts carry an image or video. Across the catalog, posts with an image or video run 111% above the same accounts' other posts.
  • 89% of its posts carry a link off X. Across the catalog, posts with an outbound link run 41% below the same accounts' other posts, so a large share of this account's output sits in the weakest bucket we measure.
  • Its average post runs 385 characters, which falls in the over 280 characters band. Across the catalog, posts over 280 characters run 15% above the same accounts' other posts.

These are catalog-wide differences applied to this account's own posting mix, not a measurement of how each format performs for this account specifically. We keep one median per account, not one per format per account, so the second thing is not something this data can tell you.

RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat’s appearance at a New York City event titled ‘Universal Oneness’ may look like a routine diaspora outreach programme. But look closer at who is behind it, and the picture gets more complicated. The event is being hosted by American Hindus for Engagement and Dialogue (AHEAD), a relatively new organisation that describes itself as an advocate for interfaith dialogue and an inclusive future, with no mention of ties to the RSS. But AHEAD’s registration records tell a different story. Its incorporating agent, Khanderao Khand, is associated with the Hindu Swayamsevak Sangh (HSS), widely described as the RSS’s overseas wing. Khand has also hosted BJP leaders, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi in September 2024. The event comes amid repeated RSS claims that it does not operate overseas – and follows an investigation into its lobbying efforts in the US. “RSS Out of NYC”, “Hindutva Out of NYC” and “India Belongs to Everyone” were among the slogans raised by protesters outside Madison Square Garden in New York on August 29, as RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat addressed a major gathering of Indian-American and interfaith groups. The protest was organised by Hindus for Human Rights and allied organisations, with Muslim, Sikh and Christian groups and other advocacy organisations also participating. Bhagwat’s New York visit included two separate events. Earlier on August 29, he participated in the “One World, One Humanity” Faith Leaders’ Conference, which brought together religious leaders from Hinduism, Islam, Christianity and Judaism for discussions centred on interfaith dialogue, unity and shared humanity. Later, he was the keynote speaker at the “Universal Oneness Celebration” at Madison Square Garden, organised by the American Hindus for Engagement and Dialogue (AHEAD) Forum. The event was presented by organisers as a celebration of Hindu philosophy, diversity, interfaith harmony and the principle of “Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam” – the world as one family. Around 5,000 people were expected to attend. At the Faith Leaders’ Conference, Bhagwat said: “If any Hindu thinks that there should be no Muslim in Bharat, he will not remain Hindu.” He also spoke about the idea that different faiths may follow different paths while sharing a common humanity. His appearance at MSG, however, drew significant opposition in New York, including from 61 organisations that said the RSS does not represent their vision of Hinduism or India.

Scores of protesters and protesting students, led by the All India Students’ Association (AISA) and civil society groups including Yogendra Yadav and others, were detained at Jantar Mantar on Friday as they sought to demonstrate against Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar. The protesters were stopped from entering the designated protest site, with police telling them they did not have permission to enter. The protest comes a day after The Indian Express reported that Election Commissioners Sukhbir Singh Sandhu and Vivek Joshi had raised objections on at least 14 occasions over a 10-month period on decisions linked to the Special Intensive Revision (SIR), including changes to electoral forms and the handling of electoral-roll data. The Election Commission has said these notes were part of its internal decision-making process and maintained that decisions were unanimous. AISA president Neha Bora spoke to The Quint about the detentions, the police restrictions and the protesters’ demands.

Clashes erupted on Sunday, 27 September, between students of the Satyajit Ray Film & Television Institute (SRFTI) in Kolkata and members of the RSS-affiliated Akhil Bharatiya Grahak Panchayat, over the camps auditorium being allegedly permitted to be used by the organisation, as students cited precedent of the venue not being used for a political event in the past. Pictures and visuals accessed by The Quint showed several students injured, with demonstrations on the campus with chants of Jai Bhim and 'Go Back RSS'. The students further claim that police detained the alleged main accused inside the campus, after which a group of people gathered outside and demanded his release. These claims could not be independently verified immediately. Further details from the police, SRFTI administration and the organisers are awaited.

"Most nights, sleep takes over after what seems to be a very long time. I tune into the radio, eat my cold dinner and pick up a book. I read for a few hours, while the music in the background triggers memories from the past making me melancholic. I am strangely peaceful in these last hours of the day. I read till sleep takes me over." Read here: https://t.co/KPxyxz4B8N

What is The Quint's engagement rate on X?
The Quint (@TheQuint) has an engagement rate of 0.001%, based on the median interactions across 99 original posts from the last 30 days against 755,330 followers. Replies, reposts and quote-posts of other people are excluded from that sample.
Is that a good engagement rate?
At 0.001%, The Quint sits below the 10th percentile of the 213,472 accounts in this comparison. Those comparison accounts are all large ones, because our scanning cadence is weighted towards big accounts, so this is a ranking among peers of similar scale rather than a ranking across X.
Does @TheQuint have real engagement?
Its engagement rate beats 9% of the tracked X accounts closest to it in follower count (21,185 accounts), which puts it in the bottom 10% for its size group. Ranking inside a size band matters because engagement rate falls as accounts grow, so a raw rate would mostly re-measure the follower count. It is a starting point for a look at follower quality, not a verdict on it.
When does @TheQuint post?
Most posts go out around 07:00 UTC, and Monday is its busiest day, at roughly 4.33 posts per day across the measured window.
