The decision to return the historic 11th-century Anaimangalam Chola Copper Plates aka Leiden Plates from The Netherlands to India is a welcome and long-awaited step towards reclaiming our civilisational heritage. These invaluable inscriptions are not mere artefacts, but enduring records of Tamil history, culture and the grandeur of the Chola era. Under the leadership of Thiru M.K. Stalin, we consistently raised this issue, including through an announcement in the Tamil Nadu Assembly and by taking up the matter with the Union Government. Glad that these efforts have now culminated in this important outcome during the visit of our Hon’ble Prime Minister . The Chola Plates rightfully belong to Tamil soil, and their return to Tamil Nadu must now be ensured. Our heritage treasures must be preserved and displayed where their history truly belongs, among the people of Tamil Nadu. @mkstalin
