बीबीएमबी के पास कई एकड़ भूमि है। जब यह परियोजना बनी थी, उस समय हम पंजाब का हिस्सा थे। उन्होंने आवश्यकता से अधिक भूमि ले ली थी और अब वहाँ अनेक भवन और काफी भूमि खाली पड़ी है। हमारा प्रयास है कि इस भूमि का प्रदेश के हित में बेहतर उपयोग किया जाए। केंद्रीय मंत्री श्री मनोहर लाल खट्टर जी से भी इस विषय पर चर्चा हुई है। हिमाचल प्रदेश पावर कॉरपोरेशन के शिमला स्थित कार्यालय को मंडी में बीबीएमबी की 45 बीघा भूमि पर स्थानांतरित करने का प्रस्ताव रखा है। बिलासपुर में उपलब्ध भूमि और वहाँ 99 वर्ष की लीज़ पर रह रहे विस्थापित परिवारों के मुद्दे का समाधान भी हमारी प्राथमिकता है।
