Steve Kornacki engagement report
@SteveKornacki - 629K followers on X
Measured over 14 original posts from a 30-day window, last computed on August 26, 2026.
Engagement
A typical post picks up 377 interactions against 629K followers, an engagement rate of 0.06%. Measured over 14 original posts, its engagement rate beats 61% of 3,809 tracked accounts of a similar size, which puts it in the middle of its size range rather than at either end. Posts are seen about 134K times each, and 0.281% of those impressions turn into an interaction. That is about 21.3% of the follower count, which is the gap between an audience on paper and an audience in a timeline. Posting runs at about 1.1 post a day over the last 30 days, with activity on roughly 57% of days. Most posts go out around 15:00 UTC, and Monday is the busiest day of the week. Of the 14 posts sampled, 7% carry an image or video, 14% are part of a thread and 64% link out. The account's strongest tracked post pulled 7.4K interactions, about 20x its own typical post.

Compared with accounts its own size
Steve Kornacki's engagement rate beats 61% of the tracked X accounts closest to it in follower count (3,809 accounts, accounts of similar size (decile 8 of 10)). A percentile is spread evenly by construction, so 50 really is the middle of that group and 90 really is its top tenth.
On engagement per impression rather than per follower it beats 22% of the same group. When those two numbers disagree, the gap is about how far its posts travel rather than how people react to them.
Where this sits in the catalog
At 0.06%, Steve Kornacki sits above the 25th percentile of the 36,960 accounts in this comparison. That places it in the below the median band, which runs 0.012% to 0.08%.

Posting timing
This account posts most often around 15:00 UTC, and Monday is its busiest day of the week. The bars below are the catalog-wide pattern, with this account's own busiest slot marked. They do not show how this account performs at each hour: we keep one aggregate per account, not one per hour, so that measurement does not exist in our data.

Thank you *so* much to everyone who joined in for our livestream last night. I couldn’t believe how many of you were right there with me as Milwaukee kept us waiting (and waiting) into the wee hours. I hope you got at least a little sleep!

Last night, we recorded our largest ever live audience for our coverage of SC and WI. Just on the two main platforms we streamed on we had 1.4 million views during the livestream, with nearly twice as many catching up after or watching shorter videos from it. We started these with TN-7 last December and a bet that there’s an underserved audience out there that wants to see and understand every twist and turn as the results take shape on election nights. You have proven us more right than we ever could have imagined. These are astonishing numbers. I know I do a lot of promoting it on here and it probably gets annoying for those who follow me. But we’ve had to get the word out somehow; I hope you understand. To those who’ve been watching, thank you for helping us build a brand new election night experience. To those who’ve haven’t (or who don’t know anything about it - spreading the word is still a challenge), you’ve been missing out on a lot of fun - I hope you’ll give us a try. See you next Tuesday.

Holy cow, 3.5 million views across platforms for our Michigan livestream the other night! We started doing these last December with a thought that there might be some interest, but we never expected this. Thank you all who’ve taken part! https://t.co/WBAstntdSh

We released all six episodes of my podcast, The Revolution, a few weeks ago. Then we heard from our main character, and he wanted to talk. And so here is the Episode 7 we hadn’t originally planned on: Newt Gingrich https://t.co/zw0xks1MoM

- What is Steve Kornacki's engagement rate on X?
- Steve Kornacki (@SteveKornacki) has an engagement rate of 0.06%, based on the median interactions across 14 original posts from the last 30 days against 628,899 followers. Replies, reposts and quote-posts of other people are excluded from that sample.
- Is that a good engagement rate?
- At 0.06%, Steve Kornacki sits above the 25th percentile of the 36,960 accounts in this comparison. Those comparison accounts are all large ones, because our scanning cadence is weighted towards big accounts, so this is a ranking among peers of similar scale rather than a ranking across X.
- Does @SteveKornacki have real engagement?
- Its engagement rate beats 61% of the tracked X accounts closest to it in follower count (3,809 accounts), which puts it in the middle of its size range group. Ranking inside a size band matters because engagement rate falls as accounts grow, so a raw rate would mostly re-measure the follower count. It is a starting point for a look at follower quality, not a verdict on it.
- When does @SteveKornacki post?
- Most posts go out around 15:00 UTC, and Monday is its busiest day, at roughly 1.07 posts per day across the measured window.
